Chapter 1 - Elf-san Adventure

Elf-san a normal elf that lives in a normal elf village, just far off the elven forest. Home to many different types of elves, short eared elf, to long eared elfs, some half elves are given the chance to live there. Discrimination is common among all the elves except for this one village, that Elf-san lives in, a full elf born from two high elfs, whose ears stretch long. Elf-san did not discriminate against the half borns of elves, that others do, many half borns that have lived there gave thanks to Elf-san the elf. They themselves do not know where they would have ended up at, if not for him, it took them long to be accepted, but they are thankful.

Taking care of half-borns was normal for Elf-san, it was something his parents always did when he was little, the love of parents was stretched thin, but they still took the time to care for him. It took long before Elf-san could understand why they did so, but once he did he followed their path, even if it led him to an endeavor of an end. Before that could happen, it is only right that Elf-san himself told you as to why and how, and how his adventure came to an end. He can hardly speak anymore, but I shall write for him, so his adventure will not be forgotten, as those myths told by us humans.

The first ever half-born Elf-san took in was someone small and frail, whose canines grew large in the years, whose given name is Rawl. Rawl was in a small framed box that sat outside a tavern in a human and dwarf village, a mixture between the two races and who condemned all other mixtures of races. At first Rawl did not like Elf-san always hissing or biting his hand, it took many days of constant back and forth to undo Rawls' enragement, once it was undone Elf-san took Rawl with him. Rawl had nowhere to go, similar to Elf-san long ago, history is history, they walked for days and rested during the night, Elf-san staying late into the night on watch. The sleeping Rawl, gave the sense of peace for Elf-san, compared to his elven home, history is history. Elf-san bought clothes for Rawl, but were quickly torn, as days grew longer than short, Rawl grew, and so did his canines, Elf-san found it a hassle at first, but even Elf-san was affected by time. Elf-san treated Rawl, like his own son, they traveled across mountains that stretched off of the continent, they traveled rivers that boast flowers deep in the greeves.

As Rawl reached a firmer age, he was allowed to do many things, but he was still young, so Elf-san taught everything he knew to the young Rawl. About the harsh winters and summers that can forgo them, how to seek shelter and food, and how to start a fire from thin air. Everything was new to the young Rawl, his ability to learn a wide variety of skills grew by the ever so passing days. They need not a village for food anymore, as Rawl gained the knowledge to hunt fairly and full, but at one time they visited a village filled with a subspecies of dragons that reeked of their brawls. They met another Elf other than Elf-san, an elf whose ears were just as long as Elf-san, their name not given from their parents but by others of other regions, Rammy. It took a short moment for Rawl to get used to Rammy going along with their adventures, but Elf-san did not, he took him a much longer time than Rawl, before he could reach a conclusion about Rammy. A elf who's been with many others and it never ends well, but those others were not just the common companion, but instead a spouse.

It took Elf-san by surprise at first, but time continued to move forward, and even his weariness wore off, and Rammy became their companion. Their adventures continued on, without another soul to join them, for the rest of their journey, Elf-san gave help to others who were half-borns like Rawl. In the end though he couldn't take care of them like he did Rawl, but even that small amount of help gave them all hope for a better living, and that hope was not for nothing. In years to come all half-borns or mostly all would come together to create a place that would be a sanctuary to all half-borns, and open to all the races that pass through seeking refuge. Such a small act, that means nothing to the regular races, something they would pass by and do nothing for. Created a harbinger, something to look for, and something that would bring great joy to Elf-san in the future, if only the clutches of life did not pull at him, he would be able to further understand everything that I showed him. My disdain to time goes beyond my simple writing of it, but as time moves forward so should I. Elf-san gave us all hope, so hearing his story is what should be done, it has to be done, this myth for us humans can not be forgotten, not yet.

As that refuge of a place gave hope to him in his final hours, so did the hope that everything he had taught Rawl would, Rawl came of the age; if he wanted to continue onwards with Elf-san and Rammy he would need papers. The papers that calls him to the world, so he can be anchored to the world, and not a lost soul that lives even worse than half-borns during those times. It took time for Rawl to acquire everything needed, one day turn to years, and Rammy and Elf-san could not wait any longer, so Elf-san confronted Rawl. The talk lasted only a few hours, Rawl gave his word that he will catch up to them in the far future, Elf-san could only smile in response. Giving him one last look before leaving him behind Rammy and Elf-san traveled far away, each fleeting moment wailing in agony as their hearts ached, there was no time for it though. Elf-san continued helping half-borns along the days of their travels, while Rammy continued with Elf-san but not for the same reason, instead in search for the perfect spouse.

Rammy would only find after a long search not too far in the future, but before that many men of different races pleased her, but all did not want to go as far as she wanted to. Marriage was the bane of existence to all those who approached Rammy as none wanted to go all the way to the elves main palace in the forest where all elves are accepted. As Rammy continued to find more and more 'partners' the look in her eyes grew dimmer and dimmer, Elf-san was worried she was over doing everything, that it's best she does not go as far as she has for past suitors. Elf-san once tried to convince her long ago when Rawl was still around, but in the end his worries were pushed far away, as Rammy pushed through with another suitor. Which did not end too kindly for her, but she still continued, before Elf-san knew it, one day Rammy disappeared, he searched and searched but even he could not find her. So Elf-san waited for her to return, he counted each day that passed, only after he reached far and close to a year did she return.

She did not return alone, when Elf-san was in worry for days on end, she found the one she was looking for, the 'partner' that was willing. It took Elf-san by surprise when she introduced a person who looked like a snake, whose fangs bore out openly, as with any relation it started off poor. Elf-san was worried for the future, Rammy's future, but that worry was for not, as they grew to bond with one another, and soon with little ones running around and pulling hard at Elf-san's hair. Calling him uncle, even though they share not even a faint of blood, or relation, but they still did so, Elf-san could not ignore the children, so his heart gave in to the little children that stumbled about. That fateful partner that Rammy was always looking for finally found his way to her, that left Elf-san alone, again, after such a long time, Rammy tried to convince him to stay with them and look after the children. Unfortunately Elf-san's adventure was not destined to end their, nor their friendship, so he waved goodbye and continued forward into the world. That is where he met Rawl again.

Rawl had changed, he was no longer small as he was but he had grown to great lengths, in such a short amount of time, for Elf-san, but that did not stop the childish past of Rawls from opening again. Rawl gave a hug to Elf-san during their first meeting in a long time, which showered those that were with him in awe, surprise, Elf-san could not help but feel touched by the sudden warmth after leaving the children and Rammy behind. It gave him hope that it was the right choice to continue forward, after that Rawl left his companions and continued on with Elf-san. They were only temporary, Rawl told Elf-san, only to catch up to you, it was a hearty moment between them, during a talk over a fire with food for each. Elf-san's worry about being alone was gone with Rawl around, as they continued Rawl was able to help Elf-san with anything. To tending to fires to keeping them both safe from the beast that roams around, looking on the next adventures to feast on.

That helpfulness did not last as Rawl's lifespan was coming to an end, and Elf-san's life span was ready to continue, for many more years. His health took a turn for the worse when adventuring, Rawl had to settle with the idea that he could no longer continue adventuring with Elf-san. So he gave his body one final push towards a place he would find home in the last of his days, Elf-san stayed with Rawl until he drawed his last breath, with that Elf-san held a small funeral for Rawl. He wrote a letter to Rammy and sent it away, far away, he would then prepare to leave again, giving thanks to Rawl and leaving, onwards onto his adventure, up and beyond.

His journey did not come to an end, not just yet, he had a long road before him with many twists and turns awaiting him, and that would be the end of it for the time being, until Elf-san is in greater health. That long talk put a great toll on his body, and I do not wish to bring the dependent future closer. Thank you for reading Elf-san Adventure.
