Section E: The Only Girl

Chapter 1: "Ask Me That Again."

Jay's POV

If hell had a classroom, it would look like this.

Thirteen boys.

Zero discipline.

Too much ego.

And somehow… I was standing in the middle of it.

Section E.

I had already fought with one idiot outside the classroom five minutes ago.

Tall. Annoying smirk. Thought the hallway belonged to him.

He bumped into me.

Didn't say sorry.

So I said it for him.

"Apology accepted," I told him.

He looked amused. "I didn't apologize."

"You don't look smart enough to form one anyway."

His friends laughed.

He stepped closer. "Careful."

I smiled sweetly.

"Or what?"

Before he could answer, the bell rang.

I walked away first.

Because I don't lose exits.

Now here I was.

Standing inside the same classroom.

And guess who was leaning against the window?

Hallway idiot.

Great.

Just great.

Sir Alvin cleared his throat.

"Class, this is your new classmate."

Somebody muttered, "We don't need one."

I didn't look at them.

Sir Alvin continued, "Introduce yourself."

I stepped forward slowly.

"My name is Jay."

Silence.

Then someone from the back — Rory, I think — whispered, "That's it?"

I tilted my head.

"You want my blood type too?"

Laughter exploded.

Even Sir Alvin tried not to smile.

I scanned the room.

Keifer.

Yuri.

Cin.

David.

Emman.

Eren.

Rory.

Wrdix.

Mayo.

Kit.

Blaster.

Calix.

Felix.

Thirteen boys.

And now me.

The hallway idiot finally spoke.

"So you're the new one."

I looked straight at him.

"Oh," I said calmly. "You're the guy who can't apologize."

His friends lost it.

Yuri leaned forward. "Bro, she's cooking you."

Keifer smirked slightly.

Then he asked it.

Casual. Loud. Testing.

"Are you still a virgin?"

The room went dead silent.

Sir Alvin turned sharply. "Keifer—"

But I raised my hand.

"No, Sir. It's fine."

I walked slowly toward Keifer's desk.

Stopped right in front of him.

He didn't look away.

Good.

"You're very interested," I said softly.

He leaned back in his chair. "Just asking."

I bent slightly so only he could hear clearly.

"Why? You collecting data for your insecurity?"

A few boys gasped.

Blaster whispered, "She's insane."

Keifer's jaw tightened just a little.

I straightened up.

"Next time you're curious about my personal life," I said louder, "try fixing yours first."

Yuri covered his mouth to hide a laugh.

Eren straight up choked.

Keifer slowly stood up.

Now we were eye level.

"Careful," he said quietly.

"There it is again," I replied. "That word. You boys love it."

Sir Alvin stepped in. "Enough! Jay, take the empty seat."

I didn't break eye contact.

"Gladly."

I grabbed my bag and sat down.

Front row.

Not hiding.

Not scared.

Behind me, I heard Felix whisper, "She's different."

Rory muttered, "She's dead by Friday."

I turned slightly.

"I heard that."

Silence again.

Then I smiled.

"If I go down, I'm dragging half of you with me."

The war didn't start when Keifer asked that question.

The war started when I didn't flinch.

And judging by the way he kept staring at me after class…

He didn't expect resistance.

Good.

Because I don't break.

I burn.
