Chapter 8 - The Six Shadows"

Hidara lowered his head, looking down while clutching it. His hair was disheveled, and faint tears began to gather at the corners of his eyes. He whispered to himself softly: "I want to help everyone in Malisora." He slowly raised his head, his eyes staring directly ahead. "I've reached something… it might seem a bit ridiculous, but: 'It seems the kidnapper has determined his goal... for him.'" Neil sat quietly, wondering: "How is this?" "I don't know their exact goal yet, but I believe they are targeting specific age groups between 16 and 17 years old." — "You mean… teenagers like us?" "Not everyone. They focus on the lonely people who live alone. I was among them too; the kidnapper sees them as easy prey. We will search for these lonely people; we will identify and protect them." "What a ridiculous idea… are you joking with us? You are dealing with the criminals of Malisora." "I know my plan is ridiculous, but I have a feeling… that I will find them. So please… help me." Neil looked at him: "I don't like people who are pitied… fine, it doesn't matter. But I will help you. I don't want you to die, O Liberator." On the other side of Malisora, the place was drowning in a funerary silence, broken only by the hum of faint blue electric shocks dancing on the walls. Ghayhab whispered, his eyes on the ceiling, devoid of any life: "Hey… hey… we must start searching for the missing heir, or else it will be a massacre." He pulled out a glass syringe containing a viscous green liquid and placed it before his eye. "Before we kill any teenager… we must inject them with this. If its color changes, he is the missing son. But if it doesn't change, then it means the body before us is nothing but worthless scum.. and its inevitable fate is vanish." Jin's distorted smile widened, and a terrifying voice emanated from his throat: — "It seems Malisora will witness a night stained with fear.. but, where do we begin the harvest?" Ghayhab fixed his gaze on a black point on the horizon, his tone turning freezing:

"We will go to the place where the largest number of teenagers are found. Because of the age. The legitimate heir. According to the information I received from Azrad, at seventeen."

" Ghayhab rose with heavy steps that left a cold trail on the ground, then turned back with a look devoid of any pity, saying: — "You.. stay here. Let's go, Jin.. it's time for the experiment." On the other side of Malisora, inside the abandoned sports warehouse, Neil sighed with distress: — "Ah.. do you mean by your words that we must search for them tomorrow?" "Yes, Neil.. if he is the predator, let him prepare to become the prey." Neil replied as he stood up: "Fine, although I don't fully trust your plan, I will go along with you. Tomorrow we begin, I'm leaving now." He stopped at the door, casting a final look at Hidara: "Take care of yourself until then." "Fine, see you tomorrow, Neil." Hidara turned toward Rin: "Let's go, Rin." And as he was about to exit, Rin grabbed his shirt tightly. Hidara looked at her, questioning: "What is wrong, Rin?" She whispered, her eyes welled with tears as she looked at the ground: "I'm scared.." Sweat was pouring from her in pallor. Hidara leaned down to her level and said in a reassuring voice: "Don't be afraid, Rin, I won't let anything harm you, I will protect you with my life.. so, trust me." Then he took her hand gently: "Let's go." On the other side of Malisora, Ghayhab and Jin were walking in an alley amidst towering buildings. Their steps were eerily quiet, and suddenly, in a second, two men appeared before them in the middle of the alley. Out of nowhere, a man appeared wearing loose clothing, with a braid in his hair, his hair color black, and strands of hair in front of his face. He was carrying a black sword, with a black scabbard with red lines. He looked at Ghayhab with a look devoid of any mercy, eyes like two black holes absorbing the light. — "Where are you going, Ghayhab... "From the Dhilal Sit clan
