Chapter 13 - Positives and Negatives? Your choice dude

"Congrats on passing your test Rise. I knew you could do it."

The survival test had come to a close. After everyone went their separate ways, Rise took the chance to head to Ichiraku's for one given reason.

To receive the meal he was promised.

"Thanks Ayame-nee. Not just for congratulations, but this bowl in front of me," he replied, breaking his chopsticks while staring at his sapporo ramen still generating steam. "It looks amazing."

"Of course it does. It's your nee-chan preparing it after all." She chuckled, watching his fingers hold the sticks accordingly before partaking in his meal.

Currently, the two were all alone as Rise slurped up his noodles. There were customers here before, but Ayame had already cashed them out before Rise received his meal. Moving on, the small noises he made signified his appreciation of Ayame's cooking. Something the older woman was very proud of since it pleased him.

"Now that you're here, and we're all alone, there's something I wanted to ask you."

"Hmm?" He hummed, taking a bite of one of the teriyaki pork tenderloins.

"So, how did you do it?" She asked, her cheeks turning pink slightly.

Of course, Rise's natural expression to her answer was confusion. He had no idea what she was alluding to. That's why he responded "how did I do what" without thinking too hard into it.

"You know what I'm talking about mister. I didn't hint towards it in the note I left you this morning for nothing." The comment nearly made him choke.

His face turned slightly red, but Rise maintained his composure. Before he said anything, he took another bite from his bowl. His eyes landed on Ayame's, seeing that look in her vision that was practically begging for an answer.

"Ahem. I guess I could tell you," He spoke calmly, taking another slurp of his ramen.

"About time." She bent over slightly, looking down at Rise who tilted his head back to look at her properly. "Now tell me, what did you do? How did you make me... How did you make me cum like that during your first time?" Her blush was growing as she asked once more.

"Well, if you must know Ayame-nee, you can find out when I have you over again tonight."

A hand found its way to his cheek before two fingers pinched him. "Ow" escaped his lips as the older woman gave a huff. "The never of that boy" she thought.

"What was that for?" A pained expression took hold of his features while he rubbed his cheek.

"Trying to talk your way into seeing me at your place again without being honest. You can't expect a lady to follow through with what you want while keeping secrets." She folded her arms with a pout.

"Does that mean you don't wanna experience it again?"

The question made her go silent. Her face became more flushed as she avoided his sight. She grumbled something under her breath in response to his question. While he couldn't hear what was said, he had a feeling about her answer. Still, better to confirm it to make sure he was correct.

"Should I take your silence as a no?"

"Be quiet and eat your ramen." She gave another huff, pushing his bowl closer to him which made him smirk softly.

Rise did as told and went back to his meal, unaware of Ayame's gaze on him. She didn't know why, but it was hard to keep her eyes off him. That, and she could feel her body warming up in response to their close proximity. The counter was the only thing separating them, but Rise was still in arms reach. Something Ayame was unconsciously grateful for.

She couldn't explain it, but her heart rate was starting to pick up the longer he was here. She could feel a heat building in between her legs, and she knew what that meant. Despite being in control, staring at his form was causing her to desire him more, and it was turning into something she couldn't ignore. Especially with the thought of him giving her head returning to the front of her thoughts.

Eventually, Rise finished his meal just as other customers started pulling in. Seeing this, he figured it was time to take his leave. That's why he took ahold of Ayame's hand before she could depart to the back with his bowl.

"I'll be back for you later tonight. Hold out for me until then."

Her face went scarlet as she gave him a slow nod. Feeling his hand release her own, Ayame got back to work with Rise taking his leave. The ramen stand began to fade into the background as he went on his way, letting a sigh escape his lips. He pushed a hand through his hair, and it finally became obvious why he did so.

"It's only been a few hours of having it, but ero-talk still doesn't feel normal in my speech. Maybe I'm just rushing the normality of it," Rise muttered, continuing his walking through the streets of Konoha.

His eyes trailed off from left to right, taking in the villagers that were going about their day through this busy afternoon. Unless you were the gamer himself, then your busy afternoon was just finished... Well, partly. Just because the survival test came to a close doesn't mean he didn't have other things to take care of, but for now he needed to hold off the training.

Kakashi's attacks were a force to be reckoned with, and he got a first hand demonstration of what fighting him solo as genin was like. Pure hell they call it. His wrists still hurt every now and then.

Aside from that, Rise needed to do some planning on his part. For now, he didn't have any targets that he could go after on than Ibara and Tsubaki. Ayame was working, and Sakura was off limits. The reasons being obvious in that regard. He didn't wanna affect their current standing, and he could imagine the awkward moments that would pile up later on.

That made him frown though. He felt icky at his own thoughts because it sounded like he was using the women around him. While he didn't have ill intentions, it didn't feel right. Morality wise and all. He signed up for this though (sorta of), so he had to see it through.

Moving on, he was in his thoughts again, watching the looks that he was receiving from some of the nearby civilian women. The blushing, the unreadable gazes, and the avoidance of eye contact made Rise nervous. It was something he wasn't gonna be used to early on, but something came to mind because of it.

Ero-style made him irresistible to civilians. Not to mention that any civilian would accept his advances, and they would treat it as if it were normal. A shortcut to getting someone back at his place in record time.

Tsubaki and Ibara were originally part of the tutorial, meaning getting either of them in his apartment would be easy. He spoke with them yesterday, and it set in motion the possibility of engaging with them once more. If he went after them... Should he go after them though? They were mothers with children, and most likely have husbands. That wouldn't feel right to him in the slightest.

'Jeez. It feels like I'm about to over think something so simple.'

(Author here. Keep the above sentence in mind for later.)

As the thought came to mind, Rise used his new found prowess as a shinobi to blast off the ground. He landed on the closest rooftop, beginning to repeat the process as he made his way home. For now, it would probably be best wait for Ayame, but he needed a game plan for sure. He only had two people he could go after, and he didn't wanna chase down the important characters yet since their arcs haven't come into play.

"Huh?" Then a textbox popped up before him.

Side Mission: A Shinobi's path to Clear Mind - A plan is only as good as the mind which comes up with it. However, a ninja's strategy will never work if the negatives can't balance with the positives.

Increase your Intelligence to +20, and pursue your chosen target. Ayame, Ibara, and Tsubaki will not count as they were already chosen targets.

[Reward(s): Will vary]

"It sucks that Ayame, Ibara, and Tsubaki won't count, but that might do me some good. Ibara and Tsubaki are mothers, and those are waters I don't wanna tread right now even if it'll be easier for me. Nexus, stats."

The textbox sprung to life immediately. His base stats greeted him first, floating before him while not being in his way. Rise hopped over to the next building, coming to a stop for a quick second just so he could deposit his points. The first five was confirmed, but he remembered that ero-talk was linked to his intelligence and charm. With that in mind, he shrugged at it and decided to deposit five more for good measure.

Finished with his task, he closed out the window and continued on his way, but he didn't feel any change to himself. He knew the game took effect for sure, but never being able to feel those changes was telling for different reasons. Guess he'd have to find out once he was home, which wouldn't take long since his building was in distance.

"Aahh, it feels good to lay eyes on you. Finally, after all that time of waiting, my ingredients are here in the palms of my hand," spoke the voice a man who appeared to be holding a sealed container.

He was currently walking down the road leading to his building, a smile on his face while staring at the item in hand. Important as it may be, his focus went back to the building on his right, being aware of his surroundings to keep from bumping into anything. However, as he turned onto the stone pathway leading towards the building door, he got the biggest surprise of his life. That surprise being a shinobi dropping down onto the stone path in a crouched form.

"Ah!" He screamed, falling down on his butt from being jumped-scared, and almost being landed on by said ninja.

"Huh?" Rise questioned, having heard the yell from behind him. He turned around because of it, spotting the man on the ground which caused his body to move instinctively. "My apologies sir. I wasn't paying attention."

His hand was extended forward to the sitting man, the latter taking it. Slowly, he stood up with Rise's help, giving a nervous chuckle in response.

"It's quite alright. I just wasn't expecting someone so young to fall from the sky at such speed. It scared me is all," the man responded, letting go of Rise's hand so be could dust off his package.

"Are you ok though? Nothing hurt or something in relation?" He asked out of concern.

"Not at all. Don't trouble yourself over me. I'm fine."

Rise gave a simple nod, turning on the heels of his sandals after saying "ok then. Enjoy your afternoon sir." The reply he got in return was "be sure to do the same kid," which made the redhead smile at the older gentleman before opening up the doors of his building, and then proceeded to close them behind himself.

"Man, these kids are growing up too fast," the man said with a sigh.

Meanwhile, Rise waved towards the receptionist of his building. She smiled and waved back before continuing with her duties. With that out of the way, he quickly began traversing the stairway to his floor. He was quick about it too, scaling several flights of stairs until he arrived to the eighth floor. His feet tapped against the hardwood, a little out of breath while sauntering down the hall.

His blue eyes were looking down the hall, seeing how empty it was at first with a few accessories here and there outside some of the apartment homes. Just when the quiet seemed to only be disturbed by his walking, something else could be heard. Another pair of feet around the corner of the hallway to his left, and this one had a voice to follow it.

"... Pid instructor, stupid test, stupid... Ugh! Everything about this is just so dumb!"

The voice was that of a girl, the way she was shouting leaving her anger to be easily discernable. As Rise stopped at his door, he removed his apartment key from his inventory. Whoever was going through it was none of his concerns. They're having a rough day, and was about to escape it by entering the peace of his own home.

"I can't believe this. I show up early in the morning for some dumb test, just to be failed by that poor excuse of a jonin instructor! It's not my fault that that my teammates were useless! If they pulled their own weight, I could've—"

Then it went silent. While it wasn't a concern to him, Rise would admit that it was strange the voice stopped mid rant as it got closer to him in distance. Probably because he was spotted by them and they didn't want to continue shouting now that someone was nearby. Still, he carried on with unlocking the top lock of his apartment, but was stopped before he could do the same for his bottom lock.

All because he had become their main focus.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the hot-head delinquent. Must be a small village if you live in the same building I do of all places."

'Who the hell...' Rise thought, pausing that sentence after deciding to turn around and see who was addressing him.

Blue eyes landed on that of a brown-eyed girl his age with purple hair styled in an asymmetrical cut. A striped orange and pink blouse was tied around her neck and waist sitting on top of a dark blue short-sleeve. She happened to be clad in a red skirt as well, and her shinobi sandals were the same color as her hair.

"Oh? Why so quiet? You're usually quick to throw your attitude my way."

"... Who are you?" Everything grew deathly quiet after he asked.

The purple-haired girl was taken aback, but that quickly changed to anger. She clenched her fist which caused Rise to grow confused. He was asking a genuine question, and this is the response he gets?

"What do you mean 'who are you?' I'm not that forgettable like a certain big forehead girl."

"Hey, don't disrespect Sakura," Rise spoke, giving the girl a stern stare. "Just because I don't know you doesn't mean you can take it out on her."

"Wha—we were in the same class for three years before I was transferred, jackass! What do you mean you don't know me?!" She exclaimed, practically getting herself closer to a noise complaint.

Rise deadpanned at that, but the game was starting to work its magic. Within seconds, digital code began to write in the missing links to the girl in front of him. By the time it was done, he slowly began to widen his eyes from one key memory.

"Ah, I remember now. You're that girl who got flowers thrown into her mouth by Ino," he replied, giving a small laugh. "Ah, good times."

"That's seriously how you remember me?! What the heck!"

"Alright, calm it down with the shouting Ami," Rise said as the now revealed Ami was shaking with rage. "In case you couldn't tell, I got neighbors. I'm pretty sure they don't wanna hear shouting outside of their apartment."

"Tch, whatever," She replied in annoyance, but abided by his statement.

"Cool. Now, what do you want? I'm pretty sure you didn't call me out just to catch up."

"With you? Hell no. I just felt like messing with you since it's been a while seeing the guy with a temper that matches the color of his hair." Her lips curved into a smirk, watching to see how Rise would react to her snarky remark.

"Ah... Well, see ya." He turned back to his door, proceeding to remove his key from the top lock which caused him to miss her shocked expression.

"Hold on. You're not gonna threaten me for insulting you?"

"Why would I? I'm a shinobi now, and hitting a civilian like yourself would most likely net me trouble I don't want." Rise placed the key into the door's bottom lock, twisting it rather quickly to most likely avoid talking to her.

"I am not a civilian!" Ami exclaimed, placing both hands on her hips. "If I was, then I wouldn't have the skills of a proper kunoichi," she replied with an eyes-closed smile, missing Rise's movements coming to a halt.

"You have the skills of a proper kunoichi, but no hitai-ate to show for it. Some kunoichi you must be." He turned to her with a sharp glare, spooking the girl who's also had her fair share of that look. "Especially if you were shouting not too long ago about how stupid your instructor was, and that you wouldn't have failed if your team pulled their own weight."

"Because I wouldn't have if my teammates were competent. If it were Fuki and Kasumi with me, we could've passed with flying colors. Instead, I got two imbeciles who couldn't tell a kunai from a stick with how awful they were. At least you had a good team since you still have your hitai-ate. I thought you would've turned into a raging monkey and lost your cool."

His glare was still present, watching Ami return her own as they stood in the corridor. The memories he did receive of Ami wasn't much, but she really did have a mouth known for what it's doing right now. All bark, but no bite.

"That's rich coming from you. Your arrogance makes you think you're better than others, but you're trash's trash when it comes to the art of ninja. If you're a proper kunoichi, then I'm midway through a stroke on a suicide mission after gargling salt water."

"Don't insult me! I actually do train my body, not just manage my figure, thank you."

"Oh really now?" Rise tilted his head in annoyance, obviously not buying the bullshit she was selling. "Then how about you put your money where your mouth is?"

"With you? No way." Ami pushed her arms together to make an 'X.' "I've seen how you fight, and I'm not dumb enough to engage you."

"Please, I wouldn't actually fight you. You're not even worth lifting a finger." He pointed a finger at her, his expression growing serious with his glare removed from his features. "I could defeat you without even moving a single part of my body."

"What the hell are you playing at?" Ami growled, not liking what he was implying of her skills.

"I'm not playing at anything," Rise said before walking away from his door.

He put a few feet between them, removing a kunai from his holster. With a flick of his wrist, the weapon was thrown between his feet. Then Rise pointed towards the kunai as he looked into Ami's eyes.

"You could give me your best shot, and I wouldn't move from this spot. That's how I view your abilities in comparison to mine."

Those words pissed her off. Actually, scratch that. It infuriated her beyond belief. Her blood was boiling as she stared at him. He could beat her without lifting a single finger? She couldn't move him from his spot? He was basically calling her weak! Not worthy of challenging him!

While Ami was close to blowing a fuse, Rise on the other hand was thinking. Due to what Ami said minutes prior, she was basically a civilian. Failed her test, had no hitai-ate, but that wasn't important right now. His actual focus was on his perks. More specifically, ero-style.

'Why isn't it working? I'm supposed to be irresistible to civilians, and she was standing in my three feet range before I got further away from her, so she should've been submissive. Is there something at play here that I don't know about?'

As quick as the thought came, a textbox followed right behind it. It followed up with a quickness, surprising Rise who managed to keep his shock concealed.

Negative Mechanic [History Holder]: Any woman that has shared history with you that isn't neutral or positive will be treated as a hostile force, giving them temporary immunity to ero-style, ero-talk, and the physical aspects of your charm (to an extent for the latter). That immunity can be bypassed by reducing the hostility.

'So that's why she's not acting like the other women who were staring at me. Good to know.'

"You wouldn't move from that spot huh? You won't even lift a finger against me?"

Rise gave her his full attention, letting the textbox he saw disappear. With clenched fists, she charged him without a second thought. "Let me hit you then" escaped her lips as she screamed it aloud, cocking her fist back. Once she closed the distance, she swung at him with as much power that she could muster. And just as her fist was about to make contact—

Rise whispered something she couldn't make out.

'Wha...' Ami's body came to a complete stop, baffling her as she couldn't tell what was going on. However, before she could do anything about it, her eyes slowly began widening.

It felt like an earthquake went off inside her form. Her figure began shaking, resolve wavering as a jolt ran through her spine. Her eyes began to roll back slightly, and that's when it happened. A "shockwave" tore through her, walls clenching tightly as it felt like she was struck exactly where her womb should be. She came right then and there.

"Ngh!" A strained moan escaped Ami as she collapsed to her knees, head dropping while becoming breathless.

Her hands were against the floor, hair in front of her shoulders as she panted. She could feel the dampness in her panties, taking note of how soaked she was which alarmed her in every sense of the word. That was her strongest orgasm to date.

'There's no way I just... No, I didn't! I couldn't possibly have—' She couldn't even finished the thought. Stunned, yet horrified.

"Told you. You lose Ami." Rise picked up his kunai from the floor, stepping around her before opening the door to his home.

"H-Hold on. Don't you dare walk past me after what you did," there was small hint of aggression still in her tone as she spoke, slowly finding the strength in her legs to stand.

"Can, and did. You can't win against me."

"Bullshit! You used some weird ass jutsu to—" she paused, her face slowly turning red upon realizing what words were about to escape her lips.

"Weird jutsu to what Ami? Speak up." Rise turned back to her, giving his bored expression.

"You, you... Um..." She gulped nervously, pausing in her words as he looked at her.

Strangely enough, Ami found herself faltering under his stare. Her once feisty and arrogant demeanor disappeared under his gaze, replaced with slight fear and a meek feeling. She shook slightly, not able to figure out why, and Rise never turned away from her. And now that she was back in his three feet range, a feeling of desire for him back to take over.

'No way. And I seriously getting turned on by him of all people?!'

Ami couldn't believe it, but she was starting to subconsciously admit that he seemed to be on the same level of handsomeness as Sasuke. She shook her head at the thought of course, immediately thinking that no guy could be as handsome as the Uchiha heir.

On the other hand, Rise simply stared at her. A frown was plastered on his face while staring at the shaking from of Ami. His focus wasn't entirely on her, but the mission he was given. He was told to increase his intelligence, and pursue a target. He didn't plan on it being Ami of course, but the gears in his head began spinning.

His goal was to upgrade his intelligence, and pursue a woman that wasn't anyone of the tutorial. Ami, from his point of view, practically threw herself into a situation she couldn't walk away from. Pursuing Ami would make her his new target, and pass the time until he got ahold of Ayame. That, and he wouldn't have to wait to improve his technique if the store, or the perk catalogue had something he could buy to improve in that regard. He'd kill two birds with one stone.

Before she even knew what was happening, a hand cupped her cheeks. She was then forced to look at the boy before her, blue eyes staring directly into her brown eyes.

"Look, if you're gonna hold me up over you being a proper kunoichi, you could at least give me something to look at other than that pretty face of yours."

"P-Pretty face?" His touch made her shiver, not able to believe that her body was falling victim to him.

"Still, it's not like you've shown me every thing a kunoichi is capable of. You don't hold the proper thinking of one, but there are other ways you can make up for that." He released her face, stepping over to his door before saying "How about you join me in exploring those other ways?"

The question made her freeze up. Here he was—the delinquent with a temper—inviting her into his place of stay to explore those "other ways" as a kunoichi. However, she knew what he was referring to. Her teacher, Ms. Suzume, taught her how to be aware of such innuendos in situations where any individual could to take advantage of her naivety. She was saving herself for Sasuke after all. (Oh great, more delusions.)

Despite having realized this, Ami began to walking towards his open door, albeit, out of hesitation. Her brain was practically screaming "what are you doing," but the question itself was drowned out as she walked past his door frame. She came to a stop next to his kitchen, taking a look around to see a clean apartment up front. I don't know what she was expecting honestly.

Rise closed the door behind her, locking it which got her attention. There was still a hint of nervousness in her system, but she was starting to revert back to her previous demeanor since her expression shifted into one of disbelief.

"I didn't expect you to be this clean. I thought you'd be a mess since you hung around the deadlast all the time."

"A ninja must see through deception." He replied, but it seemed lost her on her as he could see the question "what does this have to do with being a ninja" forming just from the look in her eyes. "Don't answer that," he told her before she could reply.

"Hmph! Whatever."

Ami folded her arms, turning away from his face as she began turning beet red out of embarrassment. Whether that be from just now getting what he meant by the phrase, or simply from his charm was lost on him.

"Moving on, that's enough of sightseeing in the living-room." Rise moved quickly, sliding his arm behind her back before grabbing the left side of her waist. "Let's get your pretty face in my bedroom. I wanna see of you what Sasuke hasn't seen yet."

Steam started to shoot out of Ami's ears from his statement. "Don't mention Sasuke-kun so casually" was the only sentence she could get out before being ushered to the bedroom. As they stepped inside, she stared intently at the red silk sheets covering his mattress. That's where she would be. She would have her body pressed up against the covers of his bed while exploring the feminine sides of her that longed for intimacy from the last Uchiha.

Except it wasn't Sasuke she'd be doing this with. Something that bothered her greatly.

"Take a seat Ami, and make yourself comfortable." Rise stepped away to his bathroom, telling her "I won't be long" before closing the door behind himself.

Her eyes were still on the door even after he closed it, but she obeyed his command and sat down. Why? He wasn't here any longer, so that meant she could make a run for it. Yet, she listened to him and did as told; why did she do so?

'Why are you just sitting here? You could easily make a run for it and never look back! Avoid him at all costs, or better yet report him to a high ranking shinobi or kunoichi! So why am I..." It was when she moved her lower body that she was given the answer.

Cold, damp, and it rested between her legs. A wetness that Ami was far too familiar with because of her "private sessions" thinking of Sasuke Uchiha. Her body's response to Rise struck her like a kunai, and she widened her eyes at the realization.

'No way. For HIM of all people?!' Now she was gonna have to endure the aftermath soon to follow.
