Chapter 29 - A wrong crowd

"Yes…" she murmured nostalgically. "A young man from years ago. He helped me almost the same way you just did. I offered him vegetables too, but he refused just like you."

Her smile slowly faded with memory.

"He even carried my bags all the way back home despite the rain that day."

Falcon stood completely still now.

"What was his name again…" the woman muttered while thinking carefully. Then suddenly her eyes brightened.

"Ah… Lucien."

Falcon's expression changed instantly.

The noise of the market around him seemed to fade into silence.The old woman continued unknowingly,"Though around here, most people knew him as Paolo."The old woman sighed sadly."I haven't seen that poor boy in years… not after what happened to his family. Such a terrible tragedy…"

Falcon stepped closer before she could continue further.His voice lowered dangerously."…What did you just say?"The old woman looked startled by the sudden intensity in his eyes.

"You said Lucien?"
