After Tuli left the cabin, Ariyan remained frozen, staring out the window. Although Dhaka city at night looked brightly illuminated from above, the inside of Ariyan was like a dark abyss. He was thinking that Mr. Arman would surely not sit quietly. The man who could tear up his own roots for the sake of aristocracy would never let his daughter work in the office of a 'farmer's son'.

The next morning, as soon as Ariyan entered the office, he noticed a tense atmosphere. His trusted secretary, Jahid, came rushing in breathlessly.

"Sir, disaster has struck! The big upcoming project that we were supposed to have with 'Green City'—they have suddenly canceled the contract."

Ariyan frowned and looked up. "Canceled? Why? All the papers were fine."

"Sir, word of mouth has it that Arman Group of Industries has created pressure on them. They have made it clear that if they work with Ariyan, they will suffer major business losses," Jahid said in a low voice.

Ariyan let out a cynical laugh. He knew that Mr. Arman would launch a business attack this time. But startling Ariyan, right at that moment, an unexpected guest walked into his cabin—Aayan, the son of Sajjad Chowdhury. Aayan looked quite handsome, but there was a certain slyness written all over his face.

Aayan sat down, putting his feet up on Ariyan's table. "What's the news, Mr. Ariyan? I heard the big project slipped away? Tragic, very tragic."

Ariyan looked at him with calm eyes. "Exactly how many seconds should I give you to get out of my office, Mr. Aayan?"

Aayan laughed. "Don't show so much heat. I have come here on behalf of Arman Uncle with an offer. Tell Tuli to give her resignation letter right this instant and sever all communication with you. In return, you will get your project back. Otherwise, it won't take us long to erase your existence from this city."

Right then, Tuli was entering the cabin with coffee. As soon as Aayan's words reached her ears, she burst into anger. Walking in with steady steps, she put the coffee cup down with a thud in front of Aayan.

"Since when did you start doing my father's sycophancy, Aayan?" Tuli's voice carried thunderous hatred.

Aayan stood up, slightly embarrassed. "Tuli, why are you here? Uncle is worried about you. Come with me."

Tuli looked at Ariyan once. In Ariyan's eyes, there was a strange detachment. Turning her gaze back to Aayan's eyes, Tuli said, "Go and tell Mr. Arman—I will not quit the job. And you guys don't have the power to ruin Ariyan's project. I will speak to the Green City management today. If they don't do the deal with Ariyan, I will leak the files of all the illegal investmen

ts my father made to the media."

Both Ariyan and Aayan were startled by Tuli's words. No one had even imagined that Tuli could take such a massive risk.

Fuming with rage, Aayan walked out of the room. "Let's see how far you two can go!"

Now, only Ariyan and Tuli were left in the cabin. Ariyan rose from his chair and stood before Tuli.

"Why are you doing all this, Tuli? You will go against your own father for me?"

Tuli kept staring unblinkingly into Ariyan's eyes. "I am not going against my father, Ariyan. I am going against injustice. You left your home for me; today, I can leave the entire world for you. That blue note from our childhood was not just a piece of paper; it was my very existence."

Ariyan said nothing. He slowly pulled out that old, dried Bokul garland from the drawer. Today, for the first time, he placed it on the table in front of Tuli.

"The enemy is now raiding inside the house, Tuli. Be careful. Because Mr. Arman doesn't know how to accept defeat," Ariyan said in a low voice.

This slightest softening of Ariyan's tone lit a new light of hope in Tuli's heart. She could realize that the ice had begun to melt. But the storm clouds gathering outside might just shatter the two of them.
