The next day, it was exactly eight o'clock in the morning. Ariyan usually enters the office at eight-ten. But today, he was sitting in his cabin at exactly eight o'clock. His strict instruction was that even if there was a delay of a single minute, the office gate must be locked. He was thinking to himself that Tuli surely hadn't been able to leave her habits of aristocracy; she would definitely be late. And on that pretext, Ariyan would kick her out of this office today.

But turning all of Ariyan's calculations upside down, exactly five minutes before the clock struck eight, Tuli came and stood in front of his cabin. Today she was wearing a light blue saree, which was reminding him exactly of that blue note from their childhood.

Tuli knocked on the door and said, "May I come in, Sir?"

Looking at the watch, Ariyan felt somewhat irritated. He said in a cold voice, "Come in. Your desk is in the cabin next door. And here is the list of your work for today. You have to audit these ten files and submit the report to me by five o'clock this afternoon."

Tuli took the files in her hand. Finishing ten large files in a single day was nearly impossible. Tuli could understand that Ariyan was intentionally putting her under pressure. Tuli smiled sweetly and said, "All right, Sir. You will get the report exactly one minute before five o'clock."

All day long, forgetting to eat or drink, Tuli remained immersed in a sea of files. The other colleagues in the office were whispering among themselves—why was the CEO Sir being so harsh on the new Project Coordinator! On the other hand, Ariyan was checking the CCTV footage every hour to see what Tuli was doing. He saw that Tuli had not left her seat even once; she was continuing to work even during the lunch break.

It was four o'clock forty-five minutes in the afternoon. Ariyan thought that this time Tuli would surely admit defeat. Right then, the door of his cabin opened. Tuli, with a tired yet victorious smile, placed the files on Ariyan's table.

"All ten files are complete, Sir. You can check and see," Tuli said in a calm voice.

Although Ariyan was surprised, he did not express it on his face. He was flipping through the files when right at that moment, his personal phone rang. The name 'Mr. Arman' floated up on the screen. Ariyan received the call and turned on the speaker.

From the other end, Mr. Arman's roar could be heard, "Ariyan! What is my daughter doing in your office? I have come to know that she joined today. Listen, if you think that getting power will allow you to make my daughter a puppet in your hands, then you are mistaken."

Looking into Tuli's eyes, Ariyan said over the phone, "Your daughter hasn't come here as a princess, Mr. Arman. She is working here as an ordinary employee on her own merit. And you have no right to interfere in my office."

"Shut up, you son of a farmer!" Mr. Arman became even more agitated. "Tuli, if you don't walk out of that office right this instance, then I will sever all ties with you."

Snatching the phone away, Tuli said in a steady voice, "Father, you severed ties the very day you insulted Ariyan Bhaiya and drove him away from the village. I want to stand on my own feet now. In Ariyan's office, I am just an employee, not your daughter. Please, let me be on my own."

Saying this, Tuli disconnected the call. Looking at Ariyan, she saw a strange melancholy in Ariyan's eyes. Ariyan slowly stood up from his chair.

"Why did you do this, Tuli? What do you want to prove to me by building an enmity with your father?" Ariyan asked in a low voice.

Tuli came very close to Ariyan. Her eyes were brimming with tears then. She whispered, "I don't want to prove anything, Ariyan. I just want to get you back. You might be the boss of thousands of people, but to me, you are still that Ariyan Bhaiya from under the Bokul tree. No matter how much pain you give me, I will not leave this office and go anywhere."

Ariyan wanted to say something, but he couldn't. In the sky outside the office, clouds were gathering. A restless wind was blowing across the city. Only time will tell which direction this uneven battle between Ariyan and Tuli will turn now.
