After everything became clear to me, the lightness in my chest returned. The smile on my lips came back as well, and the anger I had been holding against Aldus finally faded.
Now, after our lunch, I made my way toward one of the pack houses on the other side of the main house, planning to check on a few pack members.
While walking, I crossed paths with a woman who, if I wasn't mistaken, was one of the people who spoke ill about me when I first arrived — the ones who said I had a terrible attitude.
Upon seeing me, she immediately bowed her head so low that she almost lost her balance. Good thing I caught her arm before she fell.
"Thank you, Luna," she murmured, her eyes fixed on her feet, as if they were the most fascinating things in the world.
