Chapter 110 - Chapter One Hundred and Ten

At Baze University, Audrey strolled into class with a bag of food that looked like it could feed a small army. She made her way to her desk and placed the food on top. A hush fell over the room like someone flipped a switch. Heads, adorned with perfectly styled hair and designer outfits, swivelled in unison catching the sunlight. Audrey's classmates, who were stunningly dressed and attractive, immediately gathered around her, buzzing with excitement. They were all students from wealthy and influential families, pampered by their parents. They were well acquainted with the concept of spending money like it was nothing, and most of them arrived at school in flashy luxury cars.

'Audrey, is it your birthday today?' Kimberly playfully asked as she grabbed a pineapple bun, took a bite, and nodded in approval of its deliciousness. She wore a blue cape jacket adorned with jeweled buttons and collar, black pumps, and blue diamond earrings.

'It can't be that you bought these for your poor boyfriend and then changed your mind when he annoyed you,' a girl in a camel-coloured coat, layered over a brown turtleneck and a short skirt, said to Audrey with an adorable laugh.

'If my boyfriend annoys me, I'd rather throw these foods in the trash,' Audrey responded, picking up a carton of milk and taking a sip. As always, she was dressed elegantly and stylishly. She was wearing a casual jean jacket over a crisp white button-down shirt, black jeans, and matching high heels. Her hair cascaded down in glossy waves.

The students laughed at Audrey's remark, and then a beautiful slim girl in a little black dress, holding a cake, chimed in, 'I indulge in the best food whenever my boyfriend annoys me.'

'That means you purposely annoy your boyfriend whenever you want a good meal,' a young man in a black suit remarked while sipping his soya milk. 'Girls can be quite bothersome at times.'

'I don't just eat well,' another girl, dressed in an Oscar de la Renta white ruffle-hem shift dress with camel-coloured suede pumps and layered necklaces, interjected. 'I also head to Nordstrom to shop for Meghan Markle's favourite fashion labels...'

'Yes, I love shopping at Nordstrom for the Duchess of Sussex's style at great discounts... I really adore Meghan. She's my idol,' added a tall, slender dark-skinned girl with a sweet smile. She wore a Veronica Beard olive green turtleneck sweater dress, Sarah Flint black ankle-heeled boots, and Baublebar gold drop earrings. On her desk sat her elegant black bag from the Scottish brand Strathberry, her favourite bag brand. It was evident that she, like many other students, was a fan of Meghan Markle.

After happily grabbing their chosen snacks, the students returned to their seats. Some listened to music through headphones or earbuds, others read emails on their laptops or phones, chatted away, reviewed their books, worked on assignments, lazily sat on their desks, video-chatted with their partners, watched streaming videos, typed away on their keyboards, or simply enjoyed their snacks. Each student engaged in their preferred activities while waiting for their English lecturer to enter the classroom.
