Chapter 11 - The Crimson Moon Awakens

The rooftop wind moved quietly across the city skyline.

Below them, the city lights stretched endlessly like scattered stars. Cars flowed along the roads, people laughed in distant streets, and life continued as if the world was completely ordinary.

But the rooftop was different.

Lin Yue stood beside Mo Chen, leaning slightly against the railing while looking over the glowing city.

"So that hunter with blue eyes…" she said slowly. "He'll definitely come back, right?"

Mo Chen did not answer immediately.

His crimson eyes moved slightly toward the darker corner of the rooftop.

For several seconds he remained silent.

Then he spoke.

"How long do you intend to hide?"

His voice was calm.

But cold.

Lin Yue blinked in confusion.

"…Who?"

She instinctively turned toward the direction he was looking.

Nothing.

Just shadows.

But then—

Two figures stepped out slowly from the darkness behind a ventilation structure.

Lin Yue's heart skipped.

"…Blue eyes?" she whispered nervously.

Mo Chen shook his head.

"No."

The strangers stepped into the moonlight.

Their expressions were pale.

Their eyes carried a faint red glow.

Vampires.

One of them smiled coldly.

"So the rumors were true."

Another spoke quietly.

"The Night Sovereign has awakened."

Lin Yue stepped back instinctively.

The vampires looked directly at Mo Chen.

"But your power is not complete," the taller one said.

"If we kill you now…"

He grinned.

"…our master will reward us greatly."

Mo Chen looked almost bored.

"You think killing me is easy?"

His tone was calm.

But the pressure in the air changed instantly.

The vampires attacked.

The world around them shattered.

Not physically—

But like glass bending around reality.

The rooftop disappeared.

They stood inside a strange mirrored space.

A parallel dimension created by supernatural energy.

Lin Yue gasped softly.

Everything looked like reflections inside endless glass walls.

Mo Chen stepped slightly in front of her.

"Stand here," he said quietly.

"Do not move."

She nodded quickly.

Her heart was pounding hard.

The vampires rushed forward.

Fast.

Faster than human eyes could follow.

But Mo Chen moved faster.

One vampire slashed forward with clawed hands.

Mo Chen simply stepped aside.

The attack missed by inches.

The second vampire leaped from above.

Mo Chen kicked the wall.

And ran across it.

As if gravity had forgotten him.

Lin Yue's eyes widened.

He moved like a shadow.

Like wind.

The vampires attacked again and again.

Each strike fast enough to tear through steel.

Yet none of them touched him.

Not even his coat.

Mo Chen's movements were effortless.

Almost graceful.

He landed lightly behind one of them.

His fist moved once.

The vampire crashed across the glass-like ground, sliding several meters before stopping.

The other one lunged forward with fangs exposed.

Mo Chen grabbed the attacker's wrist mid-strike.

The bone cracked instantly.

The vampire screamed.

Mo Chen threw him aside like discarded cloth.

The two vampires struggled to stand again.

Their bodies were already injured.

Fear appeared in their eyes.

"You… you haven't recovered fully," one of them growled.

Mo Chen slowly walked forward.

"And yet you cannot even touch me."

His crimson eyes glowed faintly.

The vampires attacked together this time.

Mo Chen vanished.

He appeared behind them instantly.

Two strikes.

Two explosions of force.

Both vampires crashed violently into the glass walls of the dimension.

Cracks spread across the space.

Lin Yue watched everything.

Her heart raced.

She had seen Mo Chen fight before.

But never like this.

Never this dominant.

Never this terrifying.

The vampires struggled to stand again.

Their bodies were trembling now.

Mo Chen slowly lifted his head.

The moon above the glass dimension began to change.

Silver.

Then crimson.

The Blood Moon appeared again.

Mo Chen floated upward slowly.

Suspended in the center of the sky.

The wind grew violent.

His eyes burned red.

His presence expanded like a storm.

Lin Yue felt the air becoming heavy.

Almost suffocating.

Then she saw something she had never seen before.

Mo Chen's teeth extended.

Two sharp fangs.

Like a true vampire.

But far more terrifying.

Ancient power radiated from him.

The vampires froze.

One whispered in fear.

"The Sovereign…"

Mo Chen raised one hand.

The air itself obeyed him.

Invisible force crushed the vampires to the ground.

They struggled.

But could not move.

Mo Chen's voice echoed through the dimension.

"You came here to hunt me."

Silence.

Then—

He lowered his hand.

Crimson energy surged downward like lightning.

The first vampire disintegrated instantly.

The second tried to escape.

Mo Chen appeared before him in a blur.

One strike.

Silence.

Blood splashed across his black coat.

The dimension shattered.

Glass reflections disappeared.

The rooftop returned.

The night air became quiet again.

Mo Chen stood there.

His coat stained with blood.

His red eyes glowing softly.

Lin Yue had not moved.

Not even once.

Her heart was beating violently.

This was the first time she had seen him like this.

Not teasing.

Not calm.

Not the man who watched television and argued about noodles.

This was something else.

Something ancient.

Something terrifying.

Mo Chen slowly turned toward her.

Their eyes met.

For the first time—

Lin Yue felt fear.

Real fear.

Not of the monsters outside.

But of the monster standing before her.

Mo Chen saw it.

He saw the hesitation.

The uncertainty.

The pounding of her heart.

For a moment—

Neither of them spoke.

The city lights flickered below.

The blood moon faded slowly back to silver.

Wind moved quietly across the rooftop.

Mo Chen's crimson eyes looked directly into hers.

And Lin Yue stood there.

Frozen.

Looking back at him.
