Chapter 98 - Chapter 95

"Old Sand, stop playing around. It's time to get serious."

Unlike the elementalization of other Logia-type Devil Fruit abilities, the white smoke and yellow sand did not conflict, completely intertwining.

Buggy was a bit curious: what would a Logia-type user's senses be like after elementalizing?

If the two suddenly returned to human form while intertwined like this, would they end up in a state of 'you in me, me in you'... Yellow sand flew out of the white smoke, gathering together to form Crocodile.

His composed demeanor stood in stark contrast to the panting Smoker.

"Your Logia-type Devil Fruit Ability development is truly weak," Crocodile said leisurely, lighting a cigar.

Smoker, on the other hand, pulled out a handful of cigars from his arm, stuffed them into his mouth, and took several deep drags to replenish his smoke.

"A tasteless fellow..." Crocodile said disdainfully. "Doing that loses the pleasure of smoking."

Just as he was about to start working, he noticed Buggy staring thoughtfully at Smoker.

"What's wrong?" Crocodile rarely saw such an expression on Buggy.

"Logia-type users can elementalize themselves; there's no need to use cigar smoke for replenishment."

Buggy said, "I didn't realize Smoker was quite insidious, artificially adding poison damage to his smoke."

"What poison damage?" Crocodile didn't understand.

"Smoking is harmful to health, surely you know that. If Smoker smokes like that, concentrating the toxins in the smoke, the 'Smoker' might one day turn into a 'Nicotine Demon'..."

If Magellan's poison works instantly, Smoker's poisonous smoke kills invisibly.

"It seems his financial resources limit the full display of his power. Leave him be, let's get to work," Buggy said.

Crocodile instantly felt that the cigar in his mouth was unappealing. After a thought, he removed the cigar and turned it into sand.

It's better to quit smoking in the future... "Sand Tornado."

Over a dozen tornadoes swept up the pirates of the Longuette Bread Pirates and carried them towards their Pirate Crew ship. The smoker tried to step forward to stop them, but Moriah stepped in front of him.

"What, do you want to stay with those pirates forever?"

"Stay with them forever? What do you mean?" The smoker didn't know what they were planning.

"Let me go! I am a noble, you can't treat me like this!"

Raider, caught in the Sand Tornado, pleaded loudly for mercy.

"It's rare to see a noble become a pirate. Crocodile, put him down," Buggy said.

Raider thought he was saved, but Buggy immediately followed up, "Nobles have a noble way to die."

Idiot, Smoker cursed internally. That Buggy dared to kill Celestial Dragons; why would he care about a noble from a small country?

By this time, Crocodile had activated [Desert Encierro], and the pirates were dehydrated by the sand, turning into mummies.

"Darkness Tower."

The upper half of the Longuette Bread Pirates' Pirate Crew ship turned to sand, forming a black high tower.

Above the high tower was a tattered Pirate Crew flag.

The pirates' mummies were embedded in the tower, like bas-reliefs.

However, these 'bas-reliefs' had hideous expressions, inspiring fear in all who looked upon them.

"Mr. 3, since this fellow is a noble, let him die with the dignity of a king." Buggy gave his instructions.

"Leave it to me, Captain Buggy."

Mr. 3 flung a pile of wax in front of the high tower, shaping it into a torture device.

"Candle Guillotine."

He pressed the despairing Raider under the guillotine. Raider's constant struggling made Mr. 3 frown.

"Hey, you kicked me. As a noble, shouldn't you apologize?"

Not only did Raider fail to apologize, but he kept cursing loudly.

"Heh, a noble..." Mr. 3 sneered and activated the guillotine.

The wax blade, covered in Armament Haki, sliced downwards.

Just before Raider's head fell, Mr. 3 activated his ability: "Wax Figure Art."

A thin layer of wax sealed the entire scene. Mr. 3 even left a wax figure of himself behind it.

"Captain Buggy, how was this attempt?"

"Not bad. Moriah, it's your turn." Buggy felt they were getting more proficient.

"Shadow's Asgard!"

Moriah injected some shadows into the black tower. The high tower on the ship immediately became eerie, and the surrounding air temperature dropped a few degrees.

"This warning marker is stronger than the previous ones," Buggy commented. "Let's leave it here as a landmark."

Smoker finally understood why the Longuette Bread Pirates were so eager to surrender. Ending up like this was worse than spending the rest of their lives in Impel Down.

"That's too cruel. Killing them is one thing, but why desecrate the corpses like this..."

Tashigi, who was fighting Kabaji, also witnessed this scene.

"Naive. Most pirates are guys who bully the weak and fear the strong, or else they wouldn't turn their blades on civilians."

Kabaji said, "Only by being fiercer and more wicked than them can you make them fear you."

"Buggy, what exactly are you trying to achieve?"

Smoker couldn't grasp Buggy's intentions. "What good does this do for you?"

"It's for order on the seas, of course," Buggy replied. "Kabaji, we're leaving."

"Understood." Kabaji instantly delivered a few kicks, forcing Tashigi back, and returned to Buggy's side.

Tashigi hadn't expected the kicking technique of the so-called Sky Tyrant Swordsman to be more formidable than his swordsmanship.

Smoker also hadn't expected the Buggy Pirates to just leave, letting them go like that.

He had prepared to die in battle. And what the heck was 'order on the seas'? Is that something a pirate should be saying?

"Goodbye, Smoker. Help me pass a message to Akainu: there are too many pirates in your jurisdiction, and he, the Fleet Admiral, is too useless."

Buggy led his group onto the Bikudop. "Ask him if he needs our help cleaning up pirates. The price is very favorable."

"You yourself are the biggest pirate! Why are you doing this?" The smoker yelled.

"Pirate? Marine? Who defines these things?"

"Smoker, if I occupy more than half the world, wouldn't the Marines become the 'Evil' and the Pirates the 'Justice' in the eyes of the world?"

"Maybe the ones with bounties then will be the Marines."

Buggy laughed heartily. "But your bounty definitely won't be high. In comparison, little sister Tashigi might get a slightly higher one."

"Eh? Why?" Tashigi was surprised that Buggy thought more highly of her. Was she more talented than Smoker?

"Because your 'Justice' is greater than his..."

Buggy tossed a piece of paper over. "I am going to open up a Golden Route across the ocean. The true treasure isn't at Raftel, but right here on the ocean beneath our feet."

"Want wealth? Stop being a Marine! Get a ship and start trading!"

"The Age of Pirates is over; the Age of Sea Merchants has just begun."

The Bikudop slowly sailed away. The smoker picked up the paper and found it was a flyer.

"Golden Route under development. Sincerely inviting talents from all walks of life to join."

"No acts of plunder are permitted in our waters, unless you are stronger than us."

"Wano Country, Specialties: Famous Swords (Luxury Goods), Sea Stone (Strategic Goods), Mysterious Goods (Under Development)"

"Cake Island: Specialties: nuclear cola (Limited Edition), Specialty Desserts."

"More island specialties awaiting development..."
