Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Three weeks later…

Aethron continued living his life as usual.

Every morning, he went to school, attended his classes, and returned home in the evenings.

However, there was now a major difference in his life.

With Lyra's help, he had gotten a part-time internship at Moonshine Technology.

He only worked a few hours a day.

But the most shocking part was…

His salary.

He was earning more than five thousand dinars per month.

For an intern, this amount was unbelievable.

It was so much that Aethron couldn't help but compare it to his father.

His father, Alex, worked as a chief engineer at a major defense company.

He had been in that profession for twenty years.

Yet, even so, his monthly salary was only six thousand dinars.

Thinking about this made Aethron feel conflicted.

"This has to be Lyra's doing…" he thought.

There was no other explanation for such generosity.

At first, he considered refusing the offer.

But then he realized that doing so would be ungrateful.

In the end, he could only sincerely thank Lyra.

He also promised that he would do everything he could to repay her kindness.

Lyra's response, however, was…

A beautiful yet devilish smile.

She didn't say anything.

She just looked at him.

That smile sent a cold shiver down Aethron's spine.

In an instant, he was drenched in sweat.

For some reason…

That smile felt less like gratitude…

And more like signing an invisible contract.

And that feeling…

Was far from reassuring.

Meanwhile, Aethron and Lilveth had grown much closer.

At some point, they even exchanged phone numbers.

They texted almost every evening.

Sometimes they talked for hours, and sometimes they ended the day with just a short "good night" message.

During the first week, both of them were extremely shy.

There were two main reasons for this.

First, Aethron was still unbelievably dense.

Second, Lilveth was experiencing this kind of emotional closeness for the first time in her life.

She truly didn't know what to do or how to act.

So she often stayed silent, then spent hours overthinking everything she had said.

But after the second week, things began to change.

Lilveth unknowingly started developing "yandere" traits.

She became more possessive, more protective, and more jealous.

In fact, it reached a point where…

She even transferred to another class just to spend more time with Aethron.

This made Lyra slightly uncomfortable.

After all, she also had her own plans regarding Aethron.

However, she refused to lower herself to argue with a "little baby," so she chose to remain silent for now.

For now…

Aethron, on the other hand, was still extremely innocent and clueless.

But as he got closer to Lilveth, he slowly began to open up socially.

He talked more easily, smiled more often, and felt less nervous around people.

As for poor Darian…

They still chatted occasionally.

But ever since Lilveth joined their class, Darian had almost disappeared.

He tried to stay in the background as much as possible.

Eventually, he even applied to change classes.

However, for unknown reasons, the school administration rejected his request.

No explanation was given.

Aethron felt a little sad for Darian.

Deep inside, he even prayed for him.

Even though he wouldn't admit it to himself…

It still affected him.

But the ironic part was this:

Aethron was an atheist.

One of the things that had changed was the classroom seating arrangement.

In the past, almost all the girls would consciously or unconsciously gather around Aethron's seat.

He was always surrounded.

Giggles, whispers, secret glances…

Everything was directed at him.

However, after Lilveth transferred to the class, things strangely changed.

The female students began to keep their distance from Aethron.

No one sat near him anymore.

Most of them deliberately chose seats far away.

It was as if an invisible boundary had formed.

What was even stranger…

Was the sudden disappearance of two girls from the class.

These two girls had never hidden their affection for Aethron.

They often watched him, tried to talk to him, and stayed close whenever they had the chance.

But one week earlier…

They vanished without a trace.

After leaving school, they never returned home.

Their families came to the school in panic.

Crying, begging for information about their daughters.

They contacted the police.

Officers arrived and requested access to the security cameras.

But the school administration refused.

Even more strangely…

The police didn't push the matter much.

Normally, they should have insisted far more strongly.

But this time, they barely pressured the school.

According to what Aethron heard, the families even tried using their connections.

Lawyers…

Official complaints…

Formal requests…

None of it worked.

There was no progress.

And after some time…

Even the families became strangely silent.

As if they had accepted everything.

After this incident, the atmosphere in the class completely changed.

Everyone was tense.

No one spoke loudly.

No one acted as freely as before.

An invisible fear seemed to hang over the room.

Yet, there were two people who were unaffected by this tension.

Lyra And Lilveth.

Lyra appeared strangely satisfied with the situation.

Sometimes, she couldn't even hide the look of contentment on her face.

It was as if everything was unfolding according to her plan.

What was even more disturbing…

Was the change in her attitude toward Lilveth.

She treated her more warmly.

Paid more attention to her.

And at times, even looked at her with approval.

As if silently saying:

"Good job."

Meanwhile, in the middle of all this, Aethron felt an increasing sense of unease.

After thinking about those disturbing thoughts for a while, Aethron eventually pushed them aside, telling himself that he was "overthinking things."

"My imagination is probably just running wild…" he thought.

After all, there was no solid evidence.

Everything was nothing more than rumors and strange coincidences.

So he decided that worrying about it was pointless.

He chose to continue living his life normally.

However, our innocent and somewhat foolish Aethron still hadn't realized an important truth.

He couldn't comprehend how dangerous it was…

That two "broken" and extremely dangerous beings were so deeply interested in him.

One was a cosmic existence that transcended time and space.

The other was a girl walking the thin line between love and obsession, slowly descending into darkness.

Yet, to Aethron…

They were still just a little strange, but kind-hearted people.

And that belief…

Was exactly what made him the most vulnerable.

"Aethron… Aethron… Aethron…"

"Come back from your dreams to reality, Aethron."

Aethron was so deeply lost in his thoughts that he had completely forgotten about everything around him.

The one calling him was Lyra, smiling warmly.

But he didn't even notice at first.

His mind was still filled with complicated thoughts.

He was so absent-minded that…

The final bell had already rung.

Almost all the students had left the classroom.

Now, only three people remained inside

Aethron,

Lilveth and Lyra.

Lilveth saw Aethron's distracted state as an opportunity.

Quietly, she took out her phone.

Without making a sound, she snapped a few pictures.

Then she looked at the screen.

Aethron's thoughtful, slightly confused, and innocent expression looked unbelievably cute to her.

A pleased smile appeared on her face as she admired the photos.

It was as if she had found a small treasure.

Meanwhile, Lyra was watching the entire scene from a distance.

A faint smile also appeared on her lips.

"They're really… adorable," she thought to herself.

At that moment, Aethron finally snapped back to reality.

He suddenly lifted his head.

He looked around the classroom.

It was empty.

When he realized that everyone had already left, his face turned slightly red.

Embarrassed, he cleared his throat.

"Ahem… ahem…"

"I think I got a little too absorbed in the lesson…" he said shyly.

Lilveth struggled to hold back her laughter.

Lyra simply kept smiling.

Lyra looked at Aethron and spoke in a gentle voice.

"Aethron… do you remember the promise you made to me?"

The moment he heard that, Aethron froze.

His eyes widened slightly.

He tried to recall what she meant.

Then he quickly nodded.

"Y-Yes…" he replied hesitantly.

Lyra's smile grew even wider.

A look of satisfaction appeared in her eyes.

"Then," she continued,

"how about we have dinner together after your internship today?"

"Don't worry, I'll pay."

"All I want… is for you to accompany me."

The moment those words left her mouth…

Lilveth's expression darkened.

Her violet eyes turned cold as she stared at Lyra.

Her gaze was sharp and icy.

Meanwhile, Lyra looked back at her as if saying,

"I was here before you, little baby."

An invisible tension filled the air between the two powerful beings.

Aethron was completely stunned.

He had no idea what was happening.

"B-But…" he said nervously.

"I'm still a student…"

"And you're a teacher…"

"Isn't that a bit strange?"

Lyra was about to answer—

When Lilveth suddenly cut in.

"Yes, exactly!" she said sharply.

"Go hang out with people your own age!"

Her voice was filled with jealousy and anger.

Lyra completely ignored her.

She kept her eyes on Aethron and spoke calmly.

"I'm only your teacher while we're at school."

"Not outside."

Those words instantly silenced the room.

Aethron didn't know what to say.

He opened his mouth…

Then closed it.

And remained silent.

Lyra took that silence as approval.

She nodded with satisfaction.

"Then tonight at eight," she said.

"Let's meet at the Moon and Sun Clock Tower."

After saying that, she turned around.

And left the classroom without hesitation.

Aethron remained standing there, frozen.

He stared at the door in shock.

He still couldn't fully understand what had just happened.

Beside him…

Lilveth was burning with anger.

She clenched her lips.

Her eyes gleamed darkly.

She had no intention of accepting this invitation so easily.
