The city loomed before me, its walls towering and black. The gates were made of a strange, pulsing metal that seemed to shift and writhe like a living thing.
I pushed open the gates and stepped inside. The city was silent, the only sound the soft crunch of gravel beneath my feet.
I walked through the city, marveling at the strange buildings that seemed to defy gravity and logic. Some were twisted and curved, while others were stark and angular.
I came to a large, central square, and in the center of it stood an enormous building that seemed to pulse with power. The Hall of Souls.
I approached the building, feeling a strange energy emanating from it. I pushed open the doors and stepped inside.
The hall was vast, with row upon row of pedestals. On each pedestal sat a glowing orb, pulsing with a soft, blue light.
Suddenly, a figure appeared before me. It was a woman, tall and stately, with long, flowing hair and eyes that burned with an inner fire.
Welcome, God of Death, she said. I am the Keeper of the Souls. I have been waiting for you.
