Chapter 58 - Chapter 59 Don't you want to witness it with your own eyes?

Chapter 59 Don't you want to witness it with your own eyes?

After all the annihilation and destruction of this kind of raid, Link had gotten used to it. Now, he could even throw out his treasure when facing mortal threats, and his accuracy had greatly improved.

Each hit from the treasure inflicted considerable stun on Scizor, but after each recovery, it would be immune for a period of time, preventing the "infinite control" seen in the game.

Perhaps the key to whether their raid could reach its end lay in whether Link could always throw his treasure accurately at the right time to hit Scizor…

The next morning, he woke up early and planned to wash up and prepare breakfast as usual, only to find that his butler, Shilan, had already taken care of everything.

"I don't see any other staff. Do you manage such a large villa all by yourself?"

"Of course, because I am the perfect and dashing butler."

  "Then can you stop time?"

  "?"

Shilan was stunned for a moment. Well, managing such a large villa alone without stopping time was indeed impossible.

Actually, there were other Psychic-type Pokémon assisting him.

It's said that in the distant Galar region, there exist psychic Pokémon called Assassin, born perfect butlers.

He really wished he could invite one to share his work if he had the time.

  "Assassin..."

Link thought about how these Pokémon are natural helpers, and how they can draw power from the positive emotions of others.

Psychic Pokémon in reality are truly incredible. Could Calyrex's ability to gain power through faith also be based on psychic abilities?

Like other Pokémon, can they draw energy from their trainers' emotions and will?

Or perhaps the three deceased companions could be resurrected for some reason?

  "Good morning, Shilan, Xiaolin."

Just as he was marveling at how wondrous Pokémon were, Zhulan and a sleepy-eyed Cattleya entered the living room.

"Morning. I've already copied down the legends I know."

As he spoke, he handed Zhulan a notebook he had prepared beforehand: "This records Team Pearl, Team Kongo, various battlefields, the ten legendary kings who received blessings and challenged Sinnoh, their evolution methods, two different 'Sinnoh Grandmaster' beliefs, and the possible locations of some stone tablets."

Upon seeing this, Zhulan forgot about her meal and immediately immersed herself in the secrets the other knew.

"Still can't recall any information about that old man?"

Link shrugged: "There's no way around it, travel is full of coincidences. And let me make it clear beforehand, these are just stories. You should understand the difference between stories and reality, right?"

Who knows how much the information he knew in reality might deviate from reality.

Zhulan shook her head. Obtaining so much information from the other was already beyond her expectations; she would just have to slowly verify it against the documents later.

"Although it's not about the Xicui region, I actually have another legend about Xicui."

Link pulled another page of his notebook from his bag: "According to legend, there's a special Moon Bear in Beishang Township that crossed the ocean from the Xicui region countless years ago and survived in the harsh environment, and it's still alive today… There's a legend about this 'killer bear.'"

  "Beishang Township…"

Zhu Lan took the notebook and saw the information about the Moon Bear, its cartoon image, and possible habitats.

This notebook was far too detailed if it was just a story or legend; it was so detailed that she could get results immediately if she took the time to investigate.

No, she might as well go after dinner!

  "Actually, there's another one."

Link pulled a few more pages of his notebook from his backpack.

Having already received too many surprises, Zhu Lan looked at the other person curiously, but after a long while, Link didn't say a word of explanation.

She took the notebook from his hand in bewilderment and found it contained a legend about "ghosts" in the Kitakami Township area. The legend said that long ago, a foreign man and a mischievous elf traveled across the sea to Kitakami Township. They were ostracized by the locals as outsiders and were not allowed to enter the village.

Seeing this, the local craftsmen made four masks to cover their faces so they could blend in during festivals.

However, these masks were so exquisitely crafted that news of them spread widely, eventually attracting the covetous eyes of others.

This led to four elves traveling across the sea to steal the masks.

Just then, the foreign man returned to his cave and, upon seeing the thieves, fought back fiercely, ultimately managing to keep only one mask.

The returning ghost, seeing this scene, was furious and, wearing the mask, stormed into the village to vent its anger on the thieves.

And so the villagers witnessed the demon wreaking havoc on their village, and the three spirits bravely stepping forward, ultimately sacrificing themselves to drive away the demon.

Afterwards, the people gave the spirits a proper burial, affectionately calling them "Treasure Compans," and erected statues to commemorate these spirits who protected the village.

It is said that even today, terrifying sounds still occasionally emanate from the Ghost Mountain in Kitakami…

  …

It remains a story so detailed it's almost unbelievable.

Zhulan, who had studied history and legends for over a decade, had also heard the legend of Kitakami, but she only knew the latter half of the story.

"Lin, does that mean the demon still dwells in the Ghost Mountain of Kitakami?"

  "Perhaps." The

legend, so contrary to the prevailing accounts, piqued Zhulan's curiosity. She couldn't sit still any longer; she was about to ride her Garchomp to the Ghost Mountain of Kitakami!

Noticing that her rival and best friend was once again engrossed in her work, Gadriya quickly reminded her, "Lan, ghosts have existed for hundreds of years anyway, now's not the time to rush into this, is it?"

Lan suddenly realized that she had forgotten her promise to Link yesterday in her excitement.

She was supposed to give him a Growlithe from Blizzard Island.

Seeing this, Gadriya was even more speechless. She had mentioned having breakfast!

  "The Growlithe thing isn't urgent."

This was a rare opportunity, and Link would definitely take his time to choose one that suited him best.

So Lan could only sit back down under Gadriya's complaining gaze, her eyes constantly drifting towards Link's backpack.

She had a feeling that he must have left other notes.

  "Actually, there are some legends."

Link paused, then continued flipping through his notes like Doraemon, "but those are stories from the distant Galar region, about a spirit called the 'God of Fertility'."

Before he could continue explaining, Lan interrupted.

"Xiao Lin, don't you want to see for yourself whether those legends are true or false?"
