The living room was still full of feathers.
Blankets everywhere.
Pillows on the floor.
Half the snacks were crushed.
And Section E looked like they had just survived World War Pillow.
Felix was laughing so hard he had to hold the couch.
Blaster was still wiping tears from laughing.
Ci N was dramatically announcing things like a sports commentator.
Ci N:
"AND LADIES AND GENTLEMEN—THE UNEXPECTED ROMANCE STRIKES THE BATTLEFIELD."
Denzel pointed at me and Keifer.
Denzel:
"I can't believe you two just did that in the middle of a pillow fight."
Eman still had his phone up recording.
Eman:
"This footage is priceless."
My face felt like it was on fire.
Jay:
"Can everyone calm down?!"
Felix grinned.
Felix:
"No."
Meanwhile Keifer looked completely calm.
Too calm.
Like the whole situation didn't embarrass him at all.
He leaned against the couch casually.
Arms crossed.
Smirking.
Keifer:
"You were the one who fell on me."
Jay:
"You pulled me into the kiss!"
Blaster gasped dramatically.
Blaster:
"SCANDAL."
Ci N clutched his chest.
Ci N:
"THE DRAMA."
Before I could argue again…
A small voice interrupted.
Keiren:
"Do it again."
Everyone went silent.
I slowly turned toward him.
Jay:
"…what?"
Keiren crossed his arms stubbornly.
Keiren:
"Kiss again."
The room immediately exploded with laughter.
Felix wiped tears from his eyes.
Felix:
"Kid has priorities."
Denzel nodded seriously.
Denzel:
"Respect."
I shook my head quickly.
Jay:
"No."
Keiren pouted.
Keiren:
"But you did it before."
Jay:
"That was an accident!"
Keifer chuckled beside me.
Keifer:
"Was it?"
I elbowed him.
Jay:
"Not helping."
Keiren stomped his foot like an impatient child.
Keiren:
"Again."
Keigen sighed from the couch.
Keigen:
"Keiren…"
But Keiren ignored him.
Then Felix slowly crouched beside him.
And whispered something into his ear.
I didn't hear it.
But Keiren's eyes suddenly widened.
Then he looked at me again.
And his lip started trembling.
Oh no.
Keiren:
"…you don't love each other…"
Jay:
"What?!"
His eyes suddenly filled with fake tears.
Keiren:
"You're lying!"
Blaster whispered loudly.
Blaster:
"Academy award performance."
Felix nodded proudly behind him.
Keiren sniffed dramatically.
Keiren:
"If you loved each other you would kiss again…"
My brain stopped.
Jay:
"…Felix."
Felix immediately looked innocent.
Felix:
"I didn't do anything."
Keiren started fake crying louder.
Keiren:
"You're breaking my heart!"
Ci N collapsed on the couch laughing.
Ci N:
"This kid is a menace."
Denzel wiped tears from laughing.
Denzel:
"He's manipulating you."
Keigen shook his head calmly.
Keigen:
"Felix taught him."
Felix proudly crossed his arms.
Felix:
"I'm a mentor."
Keiren dramatically dropped to the floor.
Keiren:
"MY DREAMS ARE RUINED."
Blaster clutched his chest.
Blaster:
"The tragedy."
I groaned.
Jay:
"Oh my god."
Then I looked at Keifer.
He was trying very hard not to laugh.
Jay:
"Don't even think about it."
Keifer leaned closer slightly.
Whispering.
Keifer:
"This is your fault."
Jay:
"How is this my fault?!"
Keiren sniffed loudly again.
Keiren:
"I thought love was real…"
The room was shaking from laughter.
Finally…
I sighed dramatically.
Jay:
"Fine!"
Everyone immediately went silent.
Felix grinned.
Blaster sat up straight.
Ci N whispered dramatically.
Ci N:
"IT'S HAPPENING."
I turned to Keifer.
Jay:
"This is stupid."
Keifer shrugged slightly.
Keifer:
"I'm not complaining."
Jay:
"You're enjoying this way too much."
Keifer smirked.
Keifer:
"Maybe."
I rolled my eyes.
Then grabbed his shirt collar.
Jay:
"Happy now?"
Before he could answer…
I kissed him.
Quick.
Just a small kiss.
Then I tried to pull away.
But Keifer immediately wrapped an arm around my waist.
And pulled me back.
Deepening the kiss again.
The room exploded.
Blaster jumped.
Blaster:
"LET'S GOOOOO."
Felix clapped.
Felix:
"BEST IDEA EVER."
Ci N shouted.
Ci N:
"ROMANCE LEVEL MAXIMUM."
Denzel screamed laughing.
Eman zoomed his camera again.
Eman:
"This documentary is legendary."
Meanwhile Keiren instantly stopped fake crying.
And started cheering.
Keiren:
"YAY!"
Keigen sighed again.
Keigen:
"That worked too well."
Keifer finally pulled away slowly.
Still holding me.
Still smirking.
Keifer:
"You're very easy to convince."
My face was burning again.
Jay:
"I hate all of you."
Felix pointed proudly at Keiren.
Felix:
"Teamwork."
Keiren high-fived him.
Keiren:
"BEST PLAN EVER."
The entire room was still laughing.
And I realized something.
I had just been emotionally blackmailed by a 10-year-old.
And honestly?
I couldn't even be mad.
Because the house was full of laughter again.
Full of chaos.
Full of life.
And Keifer's arm was still wrapped around my waist.
Not letting go.
