"It's fine."
"We're still in front. We're still in control."
Suns bench.
Seeing his teammates' spirits dip slightly, Steve Nash smiled and reassured them. Carter chimed in with a grin, "Exactly. It's just a cold stretch. This is our home floor tonight.
We still control the game.
In the fourth, let's close this out with one decisive run."
"Yeah!"
The players responded with a roar.
With encouragement from the two veterans, the team quickly steadied itself. And… the situation wasn't that bad. The suspense remained. The outcome was still uncertain.
Five minutes.
The break ended.
The final quarter began.
As usual, it started with the benches. The Thunder kept Harden off the floor—a clear sign they were saving their "Big Three" for the decisive stretch.
At the 4:13 mark of the rotation.
The two bench units traded blows evenly, the deficit holding at three points.
"Beep!"
After a timeout.
The starters returned.
The final 7 minutes and 47 seconds had arrived.
"Blake Su already has 39 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks tonight. He's pushing toward another 40-plus performance. The question is—can he keep leading his team to victory?
Let's find out."
Mike Breen shifted fully into broadcast mode.
"Blake Su facing tight defense from Durant, accelerates from the left wing, pulls up—step-back mid-range. That's a tough shot… but it drops!
41 points tonight!"
"Wow! Blake Su curls out of the corner, catches, and rises confidently for another mid-range jumper. The ball glides through the air and dives cleanly into the net.
43 points!"
"He's up to 47!"
"49 points! My goodness—one more bucket and Blake Su becomes the first 50-point scorer of the season! Is this kid about to go nuclear tonight?!"
Mike Breen's voice rose with excitement, words firing rapidly as he displayed the energy of a seasoned ESPN play-by-play announcer.
In just 5 minutes and 13 seconds, despite tight double-teams from the Thunder, Blake Su forced his way through and scored 10 points to keep the Suns alive.
But…
The overall situation didn't look good.
Outside of Blake Su, the Suns' offense stalled again.
Nash couldn't find his rhythm.
Curry, still young, saw his three-point accuracy dip under increased defensive pressure.
On the other side, while Blake Su could single-cover any one of the Thunder's "Big Three," he could only guard one at a time.
Through crisp ball movement, the Thunder's "Big Three" repeatedly avoided him, scoring through passing sequences and individual brilliance.
With 2:34 left.
Despite Blake Su's 49-point explosion, the Suns still trailed by five.
The situation was growing dangerous.
"Thump, thump, thump!"
Top of the key.
Blake Su handled the ball. Durant immediately pressed up, determined to choke off the Suns' primary scoring option. Westbrook slid over to help.
"Whoosh!"
Blake Su drove hard.
"Is Blake Su really trying to force his way through two defenders? Isn't that too much?!" Jeff Van Gundy reacted from the ESPN booth.
Before that thought could even settle—
Blake Su drew both defenders and instantly kicked it to the left corner, where Stephen Curry was set and ready.
Swish!
Another three.
Even after missing his previous two attempts, Curry didn't hesitate. The ball spun through the air in a perfect arc and dropped cleanly through the net.
Swish!
Good.
Off the assist from Blake Su, Curry's three was massive.
"Boom!"
The deficit shrank to just two points. The home crowd erupted.
On defense—
"Clank!"
Nash, never known for his defense, used pure experience to disrupt Westbrook's layup, forcing it off the backboard.
"Smack!"
In the scramble, Nash came away with the rebound. On the perimeter, Blake Su lowered his head and sprinted full speed upcourt.
Fast break.
Seeing him take off, Nash delivered a long, skidding bounce pass across half court, hitting Blake Su in stride.
One step. Acceleration. Long strides to the rim.
"Stop him!"
"Don't let him score!"
Durant shouted.
Westbrook and Jeff Green collapsed into the paint. Ibaka waited under the rim, ready to contest.
All of it happened in a flash.
Four Thunder players converged on Blake Su as he charged in.
Then—
"Curry!"
Blake Su barked, whipping the ball back out to the top of the key.
"Pop!"
Curry, sprinting into position, caught it.
Wide open.
He rose without hesitation and launched another clean three.
To the side, Harden started to rotate, realized he was late, and froze—eyes tracking the spinning ball as it dropped once more through the net.
Three straight threes.
In the clutch, Blake Su delivered back-to-back assists to Curry from deep, fueling a 6–0 run and flipping the game into a one-point lead.
1:42 remaining.
"Thump, thump, thump!"
Durant brought it up.
High screen at the top. He switched onto Carter at the left slot, then burst right, stopped sharply, and stepped back for three.
Carter contested hard.
But Durant's release was too high.
The ball sailed above Carter's fingertips and arced toward the rim.
Swish!
Good.
"Durant showing his nerve!" Mike Breen called out. "In the clutch, no fear. That three felt like a dagger."
Two-point Thunder lead.
Possession change.
Top of the key.
Blake Su versus Durant.
Cross dribble.
Sudden rise?
No—it's a pump fake.
Durant bites.
Blake Su drives straight down the lane—
Boom!
A thunderous two-handed dunk.
51 points.
Blake Su officially becomes the first 50-point scorer of the season, continuing to rewrite his personal scoring mark.
Tie game.
1:02 left.
Who will prevail?!
"Beep—beep!"
Just as Mike Breen was about to continue his passionate call—
Alvin Gentry signaled for a timeout.
