Leila's voice was urgent, her eyes pleading.
"Princess, don't do it. You're better than this."
Arin's voice was low, his eyes flashing with anger.
"Sofia, don't be foolish. He's just using you."
But Sofia was tired of being told what to do. She was tired of being treated like a pawn in someone else's game. She looked at Ryker, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"What's the catch?" she asked, her voice firm.
Ryker's grin grew wider. "Ah, Princess, you're as clever as I thought. The catch is, you'll have to marry me."
