Ryan sat on the bed, looking at the crystal ball.
He knew there were ways to communicate in this world, but he didn't know why his sisters never used them.
After a few seconds of silence following his sitting down, Ryan was the one who spoke first, contrary to expectations.
"Were you okay?"
Liara decided to start a conversation about something else first.
"Yes, I'm doing great. In fact, I returned home a week after you left."
Ryan looked surprised.
"Shouldn't you come back next year?"
Liara hesitated at first, but then told Ryan,
'This is supposed to be good news.'
"Actually, I had news for them, so don't be surprised, okay?"
Ryan hadn't expected his sister to be so flustered.
"What's wrong? Just talk."
"I will get married"
There was silence in the room, then Ryan broke it, his tone calm; he never seemed surprised by the news.
"Congratulations."
Liara spoke, her tone slightly annoyed.
"This isn't the reaction I expected. The whole family was surprised except for you."
But Ryan's words only made her more upset:
"Why should I be surprised? I think you're the strange one. Why did you wait until you were 29 to get married? All you ever did was work."
Liara shouted,
"You stupid boy! You call me old? I'm prettier than 20-year-old girls!"
"If you were in front of me right now, I would slap you!"
Ryan smiled.
"Who says you're beautiful? Is it your husband?"
But Liara's reaction to her husband was not what Ryan expected.
"Who is this fool? We haven't seen each other in nine years, but he asked me to marry him. If only he hadn't..."
Her hesitation piqued Ryan's curiosity.
"hadn't What ?"
Liara sighed.
"Prince"
This news left Ryan speechless with surprise.
"Are you going to marry the prince?"
Liara sighed again.
"Yes."
Marriage to the prince of the kingdom was a gain for any woman, but from his sister's voice he knew something was wrong.
"Why?"
Liara was taken aback by his question.
"What?"
"Why? I've thought about it, and according to what you've said, you don't want to marry him, so why are you getting married?"
But Liara answered without hesitation:
"There was no reason. He sent a message asking me to marry him, and I thought it was time to start a family."
Ryan sighed.
"Do you think I'm stupid?"
"Why do you say that?"
Ryan spoke, his tone annoyed:
"Why would you marry someone you haven't seen in nine years, and then accept a marriage proposal after he asked for it via letter?"
He took a breath and continued,
"Or perhaps you really have fallen in love with him, my sister."
She cried out in anger,
"I fell in love with him! Are you crazy? Why would I fall in love with him?"
Then she fell silent, as if she had realized her mistake.
Ryan chuckled softly.
"I knew something strange was going on."
Liara took a breath and sighed.
"Why are you so clever? No one noticed except Mira, whom you somehow managed to convince. It's all because of your mouth."
But Ryan asked her again,
"Then why?"
"All you need to know is that I have a reason for it; you don't need to know it."
"Well, it doesn't matter."
"Does it not matter to you now? Just don't tell anyone what you said today."
But Ryan shocked her.
"Who said I agreed?"
"What"
"I don't care if he's a prince or a king. If you don't want to get married, then don't get married, or I'll ruin this marriage somehow."
Liara sighed again.
'How many sighs I've had today because of him.'
"Why don't you ever think, you idiot, I'm getting married because I have no other choice."
Ryan's expression changed.
"What do you mean? If you don't want to, just say no."
Then Liara spoke coldly,
"If I refuse, we'll all die, you fool"
