Chapter 270
A Madman
"So... you're the one who tortured Yoo Jinwoo?"
"Where is that bastard, Sung In-gyu?"
"You're the one who tortured Yoo Jinwoo!"
Arthur calmly raised his right hand, then pressed his palm against the air. In the next instant, Hwang Dong felt the air compressing around his body with unbearable force, like a duckling trapped in a human's merciless grip. The pressure intensified until his body was on the verge of being crushed beneath an invisible force.
Hwang Dong's body stopped moving. With a slight gesture of Arthur's hand, he began floating toward him, completely helpless to resist.
"Who are y—?"
"I'm the one who killed your brother and crushed his bald skull beneath my foot."
"You damn bastard!"
Hwang Dong screamed, desperately trying to break free from Arthur's grip. However, his cries were nothing more than futile attempts to fight against an overwhelming sense of helplessness.
He screamed as though he were the protagonist of a novel, trying to harness the power of brotherly love to fight back.
•But we're not in a novel... and you're not the protagonist.•
Arthur smiled calmly as he observed Hwang Dong, who was screaming in blind rage and struggling in vain to escape.
In a monotonous voice devoid of any emotion, he said,
"Do you think your power will suddenly explode? That you'll get angry over your dead brother, break free from my grip, and grow stronger through the power of brotherly love and eternal friendship? Then you'll attack me, destroy me, and kill me?"
He leaned forward slightly, his tone growing colder.
"Grow up and learn some common sense, you fool. We're not in a novel... and you're not the protagonist."
As Arthur spoke calmly, he sensed a fighting spirit emanating from behind him. Without turning around, he realized that Thomas had taken a fighting stance.
"Kareng."
"My king."
"Go with the Beast King and the Insect Queen. Take care of Thomas's support forces without killing anyone. As for Thomas..."
He paused for a moment before continuing.
"Regia, deal with him. Don't fight him. Just keep him out of my way while I have some fun with this bastard's head."
"Yes, my king."
Kareng moved calmly, with the Beast King and the Insect Queen standing behind him. Meanwhile, Regia, the Giant King, charged toward Thomas with steady steps.
The three of them swiftly moved to crush Thomas's supporting forces with overwhelming speed.
Arthur turned his attention back to Hwang Dong.
"Now... where were we?"
He pretended to think for a moment, then smiled.
"Ah, yes. I remember."
He moved his hand and gently lowered Hwang Dong's body to the ground with exaggerated care, as though he were handling something precious.
"Hmm... where should I start?"
Arthur wiggled his fingers, and one of them effortlessly pierced Hwang Dong's foot, sinking into it as easily as a finger plunging into butter.
"How about this?"
"Hell Drain."
Arthur activated the technique, and his horrifying performance began in eerie silence. He completely flayed Hwang Dong's skin, severed his genitals, and continued tearing apart his skin and flesh. He gouged out his eyes, cut off his ears, nose, and mouth, then severed his hands and feet until his body looked like some grotesque entity that defied nature.
Starting with his foot, he slowly and deliberately tore away the flesh until the bare bone was exposed.
"Damn... that's not how it's supposed to be."
Arthur sighed calmly, then took out a Miracle Healing Potion and placed it in Hwang Dong's mouth. Within moments, his entire body was completely healed, as though nothing had ever happened.
"All right... let's start over."
He smiled with feigned apology.
"Forgive me. It's been a long time since I last tortured someone, so... I'm a little rusty."
His voice was low and calm, while Hwang Dong tried to scream and wail like a terrified child. However, Arthur had sealed the sound points in his body, leaving him to endure his torment in complete silence.
During the second round, an entire hour passed.
Throughout that hour, Thomas's supporting forces were completely overwhelmed by Kareng, the Beast King, and the Insect Queen, without a single person being killed. On the other side, Regia faced Thomas effortlessly, as though an adult were simply playing with a child.
Everyone was fighting while simultaneously witnessing a live horror movie unfolding before their eyes. Arthur continued torturing Hwang Dong five times in succession. Each time, he restored his body to perfect condition before starting all over again, without the slightest hesitation.
"I promise you... I promise you, this is the last time."
Arthur smiled, then summoned one of his demon soldiers.
"Hmm... I have an idea, boy. Trust me, you're going to like it."
He leaned forward slightly and added,
"But first... close your eyes."
At Arthur's command, Hwang Dong obediently closed his eyes under the force of his control.
Arthur raised his hands toward the soldier, and a beautiful light began to glow softly around him. The color of his body started changing, and his features gradually transformed until he had become a complete human.
It was... Hwang Dong's younger brother, whom Arthur had killed in the past.
"Now... open your eyes, boy."
Hwang Dong opened his eyes in astonishment, staring at his brother standing beside Arthur.
"Hmm... I like that expression."
Arthur slowly circled around him.
"But something's missing... something feels strange. What could it be?"
He suddenly stopped and clapped his hands together.
"Yes! I've got it."
He pointed toward the dilapidated building.
"Take him there... and have fun with him."
Then he spoke in a cold tone while looking at his personal soldier.
"Don't worry. I haven't forgotten to give you everything a human possesses, so you'll find the act quite simple. You might feel a little disgusted... but just do it."
He smiled, his expression utterly devoid of mercy.
"Enjoy his body however you like. Understood?"
The soldier nodded in understanding, then carried the restrained Hwang Dong away, disappearing from sight.
Arthur finally turned around.
"Now then... where are you, Thomas?"
Thomas spoke in a trembling voice.
"I've lost."
"Huh?"
"I can't even land a single blow on your soldier. He wasn't even paying any attention to me. I can't defeat him... so how could I possibly fight you?"
He lowered his head.
"I've lost."
Arthur stepped closer and looked at him with cold eyes.
"And do you think the decision to lose is yours to make... or what?"
