Jay's Pov
We pulled away from the hug and I wiped his tears and gave him a smile to cheer him up,
Keifer: "Sorry."
Jay: "Just don't hide anything from me."
Keifer: "Never."
Both of us got up and I held his hands,
Jay: "Keif, I want to know everything about happened and I want to know how is health now, can we talk about this?"
Keifer: "Sure, after breakfast?"
I nodded and he was almost done making the food and I set up the plates and we had our breakfast and settled in bed,
Keifer: "Jay, but I have to be in the office today, we have client meeting and I cannot cancel on them and David isn't there to handle them."
Jay: "But your health?"
Keifer: "Jay, I promise I am not running away from speaking this with but I have to be there today."
Jay: "Okay let's talk at night."
Keifer: "Okay come on let's go, I will come in 2 minutes."
Jay: "Wait, wait I am coming with you?"
Keifer: "Yeah, why?"
Jay: "Don't you think, it will be weird if they see boss and employee together?"
Keifer: "But your are my girlfriend, besides it will weird too, if the company car comes here to pick you up and I'll park in the parking lot only, people don't give a damn there."
Jay: "Okay."
After that both of us went to the office and I don't why it felt like someone eyes on us, in the parking lot but I ignored it because I already had lot on my plate.
I went to my cabin and started doing my work and so was Keifer he was preparing for his lunch meeting, he looked so serious and focused, It was like our uni days, the times when I used to follow him and he used to ignore me.
Then after finishing my work, I wanted to learn about Insomnia, So I started doing little research on my own as it how it affects a
person, it showed many worst case scenarios like depression, anxiety disorders and even heart disease in some cases.
I started crying as soon as I read I mean what he had gone through and going through, and I know he doesn't say but my family and I were one of the reason, but I am going to make sure I will make him better, I will not let anything happen, to My Keifer.
I decided to consult the doctor, whom Keifer had been seeing, I have to go with him , I wanted to know his condition and I wanted to know how can I help him to get better, that's going to be my task.
I also went online to learn how to reduce stress and cure insomnia.
And returned back to my work because it's has to be done too, My work was done on time and everyone almost started leaving but I was waiting for Keifer, I looked over his cabin to see he was still working on something,
I decided to go to his cabin, I went and knocked and he asked me to come in and he was in a call so I stayed silent and sat across him, he was still talking to them and I got bored and decided to have a little I got up and moved towards, he did not notice it yet, I pushed his chair a little, then he saw but couldn't do anything because he was on the call and I was going to use it to my advantage.
I moved a little and sat on his lap and locked my hands around his neck and I could see him getting red but also looking helpless because the call was still going on, he was trying hard to listen but I could see his focus wasn't there, I just laid my head on his shoulder and made myself comfortable, while he started stuttering a little,
Keifer: "Ahn.. yeah.. I me..an, I think .. its a good point"
I tried hard controlling my smile, and wanted to something more which I know is going to break, I moved more closer to and placed a kiss on his neck, and that was it,
Keifer: "Guy, I need to go now, you can email me, whatever is left" and I know what is going to happen If I don't escape now, When he was speaking I quickly got from his lap and started moving and he shut his laptop and followed me,
Keifer: "You know I am going to get you right after what you did there is no escaping" He said and quickly caught up with me, and caged me against his table between his hands on either side,
Jay: "Keifer" my voice came was almost as a whisper because of this proximity but I was the one making fun of him, 2 minutes ago
Keifer: "Jay, you know you are going to pay for what you did",
He said in lower tone and leaned in closer and I became flustered,
I placed a hand on his chest,
Jay: "Keif, we are in the office"
Keifer: "So? everyone has left and I am the boss" he said with a smug, and that me smile,
his hands went around my neck, angling me and I leaned in too as I clutched his shirt as we shared a sweet kiss,
We pulled a little and both of us had a smile in our face,
Jay: "Lets go home" and he nodded,
After that we to our home and cooked dinner together based on the diet chart given for Keifer and after we went and settled in our room and I was leaning on his chest and started talking,
Jay: "Keifer take me to your doctor"
Keifer: "But why?"
Jay: "I want to know what she thinks about your insomnia and how can I help and I have few doubts, just take me will you"
Keifer: "Sure, whatever you want"
Jay: "Keif, now can you say how it all started, I mean I know how it did, but I want to know about your health and no hiding nor lies here"
He let out breathe and started talking,
Keifer: "Well you know how it started, but I think it was also maybe because I was building my business at the same time, I was stressed and actually lived like a robot, life was hell without you, and there a time I wanted to harm myself"
I straightened and looked at him,
Jay: "Did you?"
He nodded a no,
Keifer: " Thanks to David, he came on time and pulled the knife from me despite me fighting him and made realise Keigan only has me"
Jay: "Did you try it again? "
Keifer: "No, I was just sit and cry because I couldn't do anything about it"
Jay: "Does Keigan knows about this?"
Keifer: "no, he just knows that I was sad because you weren't with me"
I let out breathe,
Jay: "About your sleep, how did you manage that?"
Keifer: "I will have around 3-4 hours sleep"
Jay: "That's it? You don't atleast sleep during the day?"
He looked guilty while answering
Keifer: "Well, I had office and actually it made get mind off of things."
Jay: "So all these years you survived on that sleep."
Keifer: "Well, If I am being honest, it didn't affect me that much during, the first 3- 4 years I guess, after that only it got worse because I was beginning to think that you aren't going to coming back to me and I was losing my hope. And sometime I was too tired, So I slept during daytime."
It made instantly sad and tears poured, he immediately cupped my face,
Keifer: "Hey, Hey No, no, I will not tell you if you are going to cry"
He said and wiped my tears,
Jay: "Okay, I won't cry go on."
Keifer: "Okay, Now? I actually met with the doctor and I feeling better really, like my health is improving and I am not saying everything is alright, but since you came back it really helped me, and you know I actually slept an hour early when I sleep with you, You are what I need. And if you see the doctor you will yourself know that and in no time I will get better because I have you." He said with a smile and I hugged him,
After that I gave his medicine, he had it and we cuddled,
Keifer: "Don't overthink it okay?"
I smiled and nodded and moved closer to give a kiss on his forehead and I hugged his head towards my chest and held him close.
Jay: "Good night."
