Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: The Sovereign’s SimCity and the Quantum Audit

The tropical sun of Lehon was a golden hammer, but beneath the shimmering canopy of the "Ghost Node," the air was a perfect, climate-controlled 22°C. Revan Shan lay in a hammock woven from high-tensile synth-silk and Cortosis-filament, suspended between two ancient stone pillars that had once witnessed the rise of the Infinite Empire. He was currently wearing a pair of polarized aviators and nursing a double-shot soy spice-latte—poured fresh from one of his newly installed 'Vintage' machines.

"You know, Cortana," Revan said, tilting his glasses down to look at the blue hologram flickering on a nearby pedestal. "Most people would see a Rakatan Foundry and think: 'Armada. Conquest. Galactic Domination.' Boring. Predictable. Pedestrian. I look at it and think: 'High-speed Holovid streaming and the galaxy's most efficient water filtration system.' It's all about priorities."

"The Foundry is currently operating at 98% matter-energy conversion efficiency, Revan," Cortana replied, her avatar wearing a tiny sun-hat in a rare display of AI humor. "The infrastructure you've requested is being 'printed' into the planet's bedrock as we speak. We are effectively turning an ancient weapon of war into a five-star, self-sustaining resort with enough firepower to erase a star system."

R2-D6 trilled a happy sequence of whistles from the patio, where he was busy sync-linking with a newly produced R2-D2 series astromech.

"Beep-whistle-clank-HEY!" Chopper (C1-10P) interrupted, shoving the newer droid aside with a manipulator arm.

"Chopper, try to be nice! Do good! But never fail to be kind!" Revan shouted, not moving from his hammock. "And that includes being kind to the 3,000 new brothers I just gave you. They're here to help you maintain the ship, not to be your target practice."

The Legion of Kindness: HK-47's Crisis

In the deep sub-levels of the Foundry, the production lines were a blur of bronze light and rhythmic pounding. Revan had utilized the Star Forge Logic-Keys and HK-47's own combat-memory core to initialize a "Sovereign Security Audit."

The result was a legion that made the High Republic's small peacekeeping forces look like a school patrol.

* 50,000 HK-51 Hunter-Killers: Rebuilt with Beskar-alloy frames and updated with Revan's "Kindness Directives." They were on standby in deep-stasis racks, ready to defend Lehon or deploy from the Prodigal Knight.

* 15,000 MK2 Engineering Droids: The silent architects of the planet, currently reinforcing the underground hangars.

* 5,000 Repair Droids: Maintaining the satellites and the Foundry itself.

* 3,000 R2-D2 Astromechs: Assigned to the various hangars and the Prodigal Knight's internal maintenance shafts.

"Statement: Master, I find the presence of fifty-thousand 'clones' of my glorious self to be... aesthetically pleasing, yet spiritually insulting," HK-47 whirred, standing at the edge of the assembly pit. He was holding his new blaster rifle with a possessive grip. "Observation: While they possess my chassis and my combat sub-routines, they lack my... refined sarcasm. They are functionally 'Kind.' It is nauseating."

"They're a defense force, HK, not a comedy troupe," Revan laughed, finally swinging out of his hammock. "They're there to ensure that if anyone invites themselves to my vacation home, they receive a very 'polite' escort back to the vacuum of space."

SimCity: The Sovereign's Infrastructure

For six months, Revan played the role of a planetary architect. He didn't use his 4th Doctorate in Advanced Engineering to build a wall; he used it to build a civilization of one.

* 100 Atmospheric Scrubbers: Placed at strategic high-altitude points to ensure the air remained crisp and free of industrial pollutants.

* 100 Water Purification Machines: Tapping into Lehon's sapphire oceans to provide fresh, mineral-rich drinking water.

* 20 Grain Silos & 20 Greenhouses: Using Planetary Ecology data to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables (and a specific type of Naboo wheat for his morning pastries).

* 200 Clean Power Generators: Tapping into the geothermal heat of the planet's core and the solar energy collected by the orbital satellites.

"Why 200 generators, Revan?" Cortana asked as she mapped the power grid.

"Because I have an 11th Doctorate in Xenobiology, and I know that a healthy spirit requires entertainment," Revan noted sassily. "I want enough power to run the Kyber-Quantum computers at full tilt so I can watch Holovid TV in 16K resolution without a single frame of lag. Adventure is the journey, but the journey needs a good soundtrack."

The Integration: The Prodigal Knight Upgrades

Revan spent his afternoons in the sub-aquatic hangar of the Prodigal Knight. The 3000-meter dreadnought was a masterpiece, but he was still fine-tuning the "Auditor's Touch."

He utilized Mechu-deru to integrate the Tactical Core of the Centurion-class Battleship he'd looted from Bracca. He didn't just plug it in; he performed a localized "Logic-Surgery," stripping away the ancient Sith aggression and replacing it with his own Advanced Mathematics & Logic Programming algorithms.

> The Tactical Synthesis Constant (\Gamma_t):

> By bridging the Old Republic tactical logic with Rakatan processing speed, the Prodigal Knight could now predict enemy fleet movements three minutes before they even exited hyperspace.

>

He also moved the Medical Droids (Series 4) into the Black Pearl's compact med-bay. "Always be prepared for an emergency," he told R2. "Even a Maverick needs a doctor occasionally."

The Ancestor's Audit: The Loot Explained

As the sun set, Revan activated his Personal Holocron, and the flickering bronze image of his ancestor appeared. Revan sat on a crate, surrounded by the High-fidelity Kyber-Quantum processing arrays, the Rakatan Thermal Array, and the High-output industrial fabricators he'd scavenged over the last four years.

"Right then, ancestor," Revan said, gesturing to the piles of tech. "I've spent four years dumpster diving. I've got these arrays, this thermal thingy, and some very shiny fabricators. According to my 10 doctorates, they're 'neat.' But give me the Sovereign Audit. What are they actually for?"

The holographic Revan looked at the loot with a gaze that had seen empires rise and fall. "You have found the three pillars of a Sovereign's reach, descendant."

"The High-fidelity Kyber-Quantum processing arrays," the ancestor began, "are not mere computers. They are Force-resonant calculators. They utilize the Kyber's connection to the Living Force to audit probability. In your hands, they will allow your AI, Cortana, to simulate entire galactic timelines. You will see the 'ripples' before the stone even hits the water."

"The Rakatan Thermal Array," he continued, "is the heart of a planetary shroud. It doesn't just hide heat; it re-routes the thermal signature of an entire world into the sub-space layers. With this integrated into Lehon, your 'Ghost Node' will be truly invisible. Even a Jedi standing on the surface would struggle to feel the heartbeat of the machines beneath their feet."

"And the High-output industrial fabricators," the hologram finished, "are the bridge between thought and matter. The Star Forge created ships from the Dark Side; these fabricators create matter from the Force itself, stabilized by the Kyber loop. They are the reason you can build a legion in a week. They don't just 'print'; they 'manifest'. Use them to build the future, not just the present."

Revan Shan sat in silence for a moment, the weight of the tech finally sinking in. He wasn't just a Jedi with a fast ship anymore. He was the master of a world that existed outside the logic of the Republic.

"Brilliant," Revan whispered, a sassy, adventurous grin returning to his face. "So, I've got Force-computers, a planetary cloaking device, and a 3D printer that can build a star destroyer. I think I'm officially over-qualified for my job."

He popped a final lemon candy and looked out at the stars. The end of 125 BBY was approaching. The Sith were moving in the shadows of the Banking Clan and the Senate, but here on Lehon, the Maverick was ready.

"Adventure is the journey, D6," Revan said, patting the R2 unit. "And I think it's time we took the Pearl out for a spin. I've heard there's a lovely little planet called Naboo that's about to have a very interesting few years. I think they might need an auditor with a sense of humor."

The Black Pearl sat on the landing pad, its Sovereign-class shields humming, its med-bay stocked, and its latte machine primed. The Sovereign of Lehon was leaving his palace, and the galaxy was about to get a whole lot more "kind."
