Chapter 94 - Chapter 94 Suction Cup Puppet

Chapter 94 Suction Cup Puppet

"Pika? Pikachu!" (Gardevoir? You're finally back!)

Pikachu tilted his head and glanced at Gardevoir, his face instantly lighting up with surprise.

Although Gardevoir competed with him for attention, they had been playmates for many years, so Pikachu was genuinely happy to see Gardevoir return.

Ash glanced around; his Pokémon were almost all present, so he said, "Pikachu, let's introduce Gardevoir to the other companions."

Pikachu nodded, then walked in front of Gardevoir, as if he were the older brother of the team leading a little follower to meet other little followers.

After a period of introductions, Gardevoir also confirmed her status as the older sister of Ash's team.

Next, Ash arranged training plans for all the Pokémon, and for the Team Rocket Trio, his arrangement was naturally to have them help his Pokémon that had not evolved to their final forms, which included Ivysaur, Wartortle, Dratini, Dragonair, and Krabby.

Since these three guys were so experienced in promoting Pokémon evolution, he might as well exploit them to the fullest. Of course, Ash would provide funding for the training machines needed by Team Rockets.

After making the arrangements, Ash took Milotic, Jigglypuff, Togepi, and other Pokémon with him, and left the lab with Gardevoir and Pikachu. Compared to other Pokémon, Milotic and Jigglypuff had rarely been sent out to fight strong opponents since Ash caught them, so he decided to bring them along.

Togepi, on the other hand, needed to increase its friendship to evolve.

Not long after leaving the lab, Ash saw Misty and Brock coming to find him. Just as the three were about to meet, both parties ran into a transparent wall.

"This is..."

Ash touched the wall in front of him and instinctively looked up, only to see a strange, clown-like creature rubbing the air in mid-air.

Pokémon: Mr. Mime

Type: Psychic + Fairy

Gender: Male

Level: Gym Beginner

Ability: Technician

Potential: Elite

Moves: Pound, Telekinesis, Barrier, Meditate, Double Slap, Mimic, Psywave, Psybeam, Light Screen, Reflect, Substitute...

Misty and Brock, on the other side of the air wall, also noticed the Pokémon above.

"Gardevoir, get it down," Ash commanded Gardevoir.

"Gardevoir!"

Gardevoir enveloped the Mr. Mime in the air with Telekinesis, forcibly pulling it in front of Ash.

"Bari?"

Mr. Mime looked at Ash in front of him, his mind suddenly blank. He didn't know why Ash would appear before him; hadn't he already climbed into mid-air?

"Hello there, Mr. Mime!"

After confirming with his eyes, Ash determined that this Mr. Mime was the one from the original story who broke into idiot's house and stayed there.

He had thought he missed it when he returned that day, but he didn't expect this guy hadn't arrived in Pallet Town yet.

"Bari bari!" (Hello, human!)

"Mr. Mime, why are you here?"

Mr. Mime showed an intelligent look and replied: (Hmm... practicing Barrier. Do you need something, human?)

Ash chuckled and said, "Yes, the barrier you just created injured me and my friends. How do you plan to resolve this?"

(Huh??? )

Mr. Mime looked at Ash in shock.

"Forget it, I don't see anything valuable on you. How about you come home with me and work as a nanny? I'll provide your three meals," Ash coaxed.

Misty and Brock, who had bypassed the barrier, saw Ash coaxing the Pokémon and held back their laughter.

Mr. Mime considered it for a moment and asked confusedly: (What's a nanny?)

"Don't worry about what a nanny is for now. Just come to my house first, and we'll arrange things later. Gardevoir, take it home first and let my mom arrange it."

Gardevoir nodded knowingly, then teleported away with Mr. Mime.

As soon as Gardevoir and they left, a beautiful woman with long blue hair hurried over.

Seeing that Mr. Mime was gone, she said with some regret, "Sigh, I'm still too late."

Brock looked at the woman's face, was instantly captivated, and entered'sycophant mode': "Miss, you seem to have some troubles?"

"Huh?"

The blue-haired beauty glanced at Brock.

Feeling the beauty's gaze, Brock began to make grand promises: "Just tell me if there's anything I can help with, it's fine."

"Here he goes again!"

Misty stepped forward, grabbed Brock's ear, and dragged him away.

After some understanding, Misty and Brock grasped the whole story. As for Ash, he recalled what happened as soon as he saw Mr. Mime.

The blue-haired beauty was named Atsushi, the director of a Pokémon circus. Her circus's main act was a Mr. Mime, but because Atsushi spoiled that Mr. Mime too much, it got used to a life of having everything handed to it and not participating in daily training. Now, the circus performance was about to begin, and without Mr. Mime's Helping Hand, the show couldn't go on.

That's why she wanted to catch another Mr. Mime to motivate it and make it more proactive.

"There are many ways to stimulate it and make it more proactive, you don't necessarily need to catch another one," Ash advised.

Atsushi's Mr. Mime was a typical spoiled brat. Ash was best at disciplining Pokémon in their rebellious phase.

If they rebel, beat them up. If they still don't listen, beat them again. If all else fails, there's always the trump card, the divine assist: Team Rockets.

There's nothing the Team Rocket Trio can't solve, unless it involves catching Pikachu or any actions related to Ash.

Led by Atsushi, the three quickly arrived at the circus's temporary camp, which had just arrived on the outskirts of Pallet Town.

Outside a cozy RV, the three saw a slightly overweight Mr. Mime through the glass, propping its head with one hand and feeding itself snacks with the other.

Misty compared the one Ash had just coaxed with the one in front of her and complained, "This Mr. Mime is so fat!"

"It's so lazy, it'd be strange if it weren't fat," Brock whispered in agreement.

"It's all my fault. I spoiled it too much, making it too headstrong. Ash, do you really have a way to make it change its bad habits?" Atsushi's eyes were full of expectation.

"There's a way, but Miss Atsushi, I don't know if you're willing to let your Mr. Mime suffer a bit," Ash asked.

"As long as it can change its bad habits, I think it shouldn't mind."

"Then leave this to me, but Atsushi, you have to promise not to interfere until it realizes its mistakes and corrects them."

"No problem."

With the performance imminent, Atsushi could only try everything. If this performance failed, it wouldn't just be her efforts wasted, but also the hard training of everyone and every Pokémon in the entire circus.
