~ Narrator POV ~
"I may or may not have summoned you…" Seiji said, chuckling nervously. The girl tilted her head curiously.
"Summoned…me?" She asked, her voice light and bubbily.
Seiji nodded and he was about to explain when the classroom door opened and in walked Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou, otherwise known by her pet name, Alya, that Seiji affectionately calls her.
"Oh, Alya!" Seiji said a bit panicky, he briefly looked between the girl that he had summoned and Alya, but seeing Alya not react to the girl's presence he sighed in relief.
Alya saw this, she raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything, thinking that it was Seiji just being Seiji. "You're here early. Are you finally taking school seriously?" Alya asked cooly before she stopped noticing the seat Seiji sat in.
"Why…Why are you sitting in my seat?" She asked more out of curiosity than annoyed.
"Oh! Uh, the wind felt nice so I decided to sit here for a moment, I was gonna change seats when class started." Seiji said, glancing out of the corner of his every 5 seconds or so.
"It's fine, I can just sit here today…are you okay? You keep looking at nothing." Alya sat her things down at his desk now looking at Seiji weirdly as he kept glancing in a certain area slightly behind him to the right.
"N-Nothing, nothing at all! So…how was your morning Alya?" Seiji asked, trying to change the subject, not before looking at the girl once again as she just stared at him.
"It was fine…Seiji, are you sure you're okay?" Alya asked again, this time worriedly as she looked at him.
"She's very beautiful." Seiji's eyes widened, not because he got startled when the girl suddenly talked again, but because the girl was directly in front of Alya's face examining her closely "She would definitely be the center piece in an idol group." She concluded with a nod.
Seiji stood quickly, "I have to use the restroom really quickly!" He announced suddenly, surprising Alya a bit. He walked out the classroom door though not before looking at the ghost girl and gesturing for her to follow him. Which she did.
Instead of going to the restroom, they went to a storage room. "Okay, look, uh… I didn't get your name." Seiji started.
"Oh, I'm Ai, Ai Hoshino, nice to meet ya!~" she introduced herself with a wink and sticking out her tongue. If she expected a reaction, she got none.
"Uh, right. Miss. Hoshino, I can't explain everything at the moment due to classes are about to start in about 25 or so minutes, but after school, I promise I'll explain everything…or I'll try and explain as much as I can during lunch."
"Sure! Though…do you perhaps not know me?" Ai nodded enthusiastically at being able finally getting answers as to why she's here instead of with her kids watching over them. Before remembering Seiji's reaction to her introduction.
"Should I?" Seiji asked, raising an eyebrow. He went through his memories trying to find if there was someone that went by that name but came out with a blank.
"Hmm…" The ghost girl, now known as Ai Hoshino, didn't respond and just hummed. Seiji raised an eyebrow but didn't interrupt her thinking he left the storage room with Ai silently following, still thinking.
When they made it back, they saw Alya still sitting in Seiji's seat looking at some papers spread across the desk.
Seiji walked up behind her "What are you looking at?" he asked suddenly, causing Alya to jolt a bit. She looked back to see Seiji standing behind her looking over her shoulder.
She blushed at the closeness but elaborated anyway "These are some of the schools clubs expenditure's and as the student councils treasurer, I have to go through these to make sure no club is over spending." She said back to her serious nature.
"Eh, am I hearing right? Did the Miss. Alya slack off? Because you've never worked on student council stuff in class before." Seiji teased, causing Alya's blush to return tenfold.
"N-No! I was working on these last night but there was just too much, a-and I fell asleep while doing them…" she confessed before glaring at him, "Besides wasn't it you that told me not to work too hard and not force myself?" She pointed accusingly.
Seiji raised his hands in surrender "Ah, my own advice was thrown right back at me. You're right, you shouldn't force yourself to stay up to review a few papers and I'm glad you didn't." He told her, smiling.
Alya seeing his smile blushed again before quickly looking away "Эта улыбка снова… это совсем нечестно. (That smile again…it's really not fair at all.)" she muttered in Russian to herself, but Seiji, who was close to her, heard her and his cheeks turned pink.
"Hmmm?" Seiji had almost forgotten about the girl he had summoned. He slowly looked behind himself and almost jumped in fright, the Ai was way too close staring him in the eyes.
'What are you doing!' He almost shouted but controlled himself. Ai eyes widened, she had heard his voice in her head 'I can hear your voice in my head?'
Seiji blinked, he too had heard her voice in his head. Telepathy? Most likely, Ai was now bound to him; it wouldn't be too surprising to think that they could speak telepathically.
'I see, that makes it easier for us to communicate. I can also explain things without having to wait for lunch or after school.' Seiji and Ai nodded seriously, she had questions, burning questions mostly about her kids.
"Seiji? You went quiet suddenly, are you sure you don't need to go to the nurse or go home? I can vouch for you telling the teachers you were sick." Alya noticed how stopped talking and when she glanced at him, she could see how he was again looking at an empty space behind him.
Seiji opened his mouth to deny and tell her that he was fine but then he heard Ai's voice in his head.
'Do it.' Seiji looked at her in surprise but she continued, 'This way, we get more time to talk about our situation and get to know each other better.'
Seiji thought that this was a good idea, they can talk more about their situation, and I can use a race evolution card, so he agreed, to both Alya's and Ai's suggestion.
As Seiji was about to leave Alya stopped him, her face tinted red "Wait! Tell me where you live…" she said suddenly.
Seiji paused along with Ai. They both looked at the silverette with surprise "Huh?" That was all Seiji could get out.
Alya's blush got even larger "I-It's just… I don't trust you to take good care of yourself, while you're sick so…after school…after school I'll come and visit!" She hurriedly said, and now her face was astronomically red.
"Huh?" Seiji's brain couldn't compute.
"Hehe, You're blushing.~" Ai said teasingly, causing Seiji to snap out of his brain fart.
"I'm not!" He said through their telepathic channel, though his face got redder when he was called out.
"Seiji? What are you looking at?" Alya asked to see him for the fourth time today, seeing him look at empty space.
"Nothing!" Seiji hurriedly said before backing out of the classroom, "I'll text it to you, alright?" He said before leaving the classroom before Alya had a chance to reply, leaving her confused and worried.
~ Seiji Fujiwara ~
The train ride home was…weird, I was having a telepathic conversation with a deceased girl, a cute deceased girl at that.
I explained the whole situation to Ai, the group chat and the beginners package, even the bound spirit card that I accidentally cracked. 'And that's all I know for right now.' I said, well thought through our telepathic channel.
"I see, so you didn't bring me back to life, or purposefully bring me here to have your way with me." Ai said. She decided to talk after finding out that she was indeed still dead and no one could hear or see her.
I sweatdropped "No, no I did not. Anyway tell me more about yourself, you seemed pretty surprised that I didn't know you."
"About myself? Well I'm an idol!~" Ai said, making the same winking face she made when she first introduced herself.
I raised an eyebrow, 'an Idol? Was she a failed Idol? No, her confidence and the way she carried herself didn't seem like she was a failed idol…so a successful one.' I paused before looking at Ai, she tilted her head confusedly.
'She looks pretty young, maybe the same age as me? Maybe a year older? But I haven't heard of any successful idols passing away recently? But then again I don't really keep up with idol culture.' My thoughts were interrupted by Ai.
"Why can't I hear your thoughts anymore?" Ai suddenly asked, and I blinked in surprise.
'So she can't hear my inner thoughts? That's a relief, it would've been embarrassing if she heard me call her cute so many times.'
"Don't know, maybe I have to have the intent to speak with you through thought in order for you to actually hear my thoughts." I told her.
She nodded, accepting the answer, and I brought up the question I had "Say, Ai, you don't mind me asking but how and when did you die?" I asked, I plan to look up her death later on at home.
"The year I died? It was 2012, and I had just turned 20, as to how I died???" Just then I noticed a shift in her demeanor, the air around her became much darker, and her eyes were a dead give away.
Whereas her eyes were bright and full of life, now they were dark and lifeless . "I was killed by a fan of mine because he figured out my secret."
Secret? What secret was that? I wanted to ask her, but the air around her was heavy and she seemed upset about it, so I refrained from asking.
"You're not going to ask?" She asked suddenly, looking at me intensely.
"If you don't want to tell me, you don't have to…actually I'm more surprised that you were 20 when you died, you're so short, I thought you were the same age as me." I changed the subject and just like that, the heavy dark aura around her dissipated instantly replaced by an indignant expression.20
"I'll have you know I'm of average Japanese women height thank you very much!" She said pouting cutely.
"You? Average height? Yeah right, you're just as short as two of my best friends and her servant. No wait, you might be a little taller than her servant…but then again you're 20, they're all 15, they have an excuse, you on the other hand, do not."
Ai didn't say anything, she just pouted at me and looked away while huffing. And I just silently laughed, I didn't want to get looked at weirdly by the people around me…again.
After that, there was a comfortable silence that settled between us.
"Though I wonder…" I started, "What will happen to you when I go on missions?"
Ai tilted her head in what I could only describe as childish curiosity then said, "Mission???"
I deadpanned at her, this 20 year old short idol is…this dumb. "There's no way, you can't convince me that you don't have Alzheimer's." I said, but then I realized I had said that out loud and an old man was sitting next to me.
"I didn't mean you, sir!" I said hurriedly as the old man stared straight at me in my soul.
"What'd you say?" The old man said, pushing his ear quite close to my face, when we were already close enough.
I could hear the bell-like laugh of Ai and I could only sigh in lament.
~
I made it home without getting caught by Aunt Haruka thanks to Observation Haki.
"Welcome, Ai to the Fujiwara residence." I say gesturing to the average Japanese home. I could speak out loud now, due to us being alone. "Well you can also say that this is now your residence seeing as you're stuck with me now."
Ai walked around the living room glancing around like a child exploring a new area with her hands behind her back. "I was expecting a mansion or something, seeing as you're a Fujiwara~" she said.
"I do have one, I just don't live in it. Also don't talk as if you didn't know what the Fujiwara conglomerate was an hour ago…" I sweatdropped at her.
"Alright, before anything, Ai, sit!" I commanded.
"Yes sir!" Ai shouted before sitting on the couch in front of me, playing along with my antics.
"Let's establish some ground rules, first and foremost when we're out in public, please don't do anything that'll distract me. I don't wanna cause a scene or seem like I'm schizophrenic, as much as I don't like them I don't really wanna stain the Fujiwara name. However, in private that's different, you can do whatever you want." I said establishing the first rule.
Ai nodded at that.
"Second, we have to solve your problem." It wasn't really a rule, more like something that may or may not need to be done.
"My problem?" Ai asked, once again tilting her head in that cute way that felt too practiced.
I nodded. "Yes, your problem. I told you before Ai, you're a lingering spirit, and lingering spirits are deceased people that have regrets and haven't/can't move on until that regret is 'solved' you can say." I explained and Ai sat in thought for a second.
"Do I really have regrets?" She muttered to herself but I caught it anyway.
"Yes, no matter how small that 'regret' is, it is still a regret, and you can't move on until we solve it…that or we revive you again." I say, and Ai's head snapped up towards me so fast I thought she might get whiplash…if she was alive.
"What do you mean?" She asked, staring at me intensely.
I sighed, this idiot idol can't remember anything, can she? "Did you forget? I explained the Multiversal Group Chat to you, on the way home…" seeing as she didn't say anything means she doesn't remember.
"Jesus Christ…alright, one last time. There are two ways to gain things in the Multiversal Group Chat, one through missions rewards after completing missions, and two through the shop in which I will have to earn GC points to buy things."
"Through these methods you can get literally anything you can think of, anything. That includes an artifact that can fully revive you. However I don't have any points at the moment nor any artifacts to revive you at the moment." I finished.
Ai looked at me hopeful "But you can do it? Without a doubt you can revive me?" She asked, her voice full of hope and a little doubt.
"I can. Maybe I'll get a resurrection reward after the first mission or at least start getting coins…"
Ai went silent before promptly standing up and doing a 90 degree bow in front of me "Thank you in advance Seiji, I truly mean it…as for my regret… can we hold off on that until…" she didn't finish but I can probably guess what she wanted to say.
She probably wasn't ready to tell me about her personal life that was definitely connected to her regret even if she didn't know it.
Just then my phone vibrated and it was a text from Masachika.
KuzeBum: You good? Alisa told me you said you weren't feeling well? Or was it something from the Group Chat.
MultiversalTraveler: Yeah, something happened this morning after I finished cleaning, I got a cute idol haunting me.
KuzeBum: …Did you change your name? And what do you mean by a cute idol haunting you?
MultiversalTraveler: It was quite fitting, and it's exactly as I said. A deceased Idol by the name of Ai Hoshino from B-komachi is now bound to me, remember that random bound spirit card?
KuzeBum: Ai Hoshino, I remember hearing about her a lot back then, you're saying she's now bound to you? Really.
MultiversalTraveler: I'm looking at her as we speak.
KuzeBum: I see.
MultiversalTraveler: Also, I plan to use the race upgrade and the incomplete super soldier serum.
KuzeBum: Probably hold off on the SSS we still don't know the side effects.
MultiversalTraveler: YES SIR! Also just so it doesn't surprise you, Alya is coming over after school because she thinks I'm sick.
KuzeBum: …Should I keep Yuki away?
MultiversalTraveler: Nah, I'm gonna go use the race upgrade card.
KuzeBum: Alright, I'll bring you your homework.
MultiversalTraveler: …
"So you think I'm cute~" Ai's teasing voice rang out behind me.
"No, that was a complete lie." I lied through my teeth then proceeded to walk up stairs with this annoying Idol following behind me, still teasing me.
~ Narrator POV ~
"So all you do is what? Break this card in half and you evolve into a better version of the human species?" Ai Hoshino asked, sitting on the edge of Seiji's bed.
Seiji held a purple ethereal card in his hand and nodded, "Correct, once I crack this card something may or may not happen to me. So if I pass out I want you to use your special ability and take over my body."
Ai's special ability that came with being a bound spirit, possession. Possession skill is exactly how it sounds, with Seiji's permission Ai can possess Seiji's body for 5 minutes which could extend the deeper their bond is.
Seeing Ai nod Seiji took a deep breath before cracking the card much like the one he did when he accidentally summoned Ai. Just like before the card began to break apart in bits of purple light before dissipating in the air.
Seiji waited for a moment but nothing happened, he looked at Ai, who was equally confused. "Uh, was something supposed to happen?" She asked.
Seiji was about to answer when angry white hot pain surged through his body, Seiji's mouth opened in a silent scream before quickly passing out.
Ai just stared blankly as Seiji passed out and his body started violently convulsing, everything happened so fast that she couldn't react. "Eh…Seiji!! Ah, Uh…"
Ai was panicking, she had never dealt with this situation before, hell her two twins had never gotten sick when she was alive, added to the fact that she was now a ghost and couldn't make physical contact with him.
She could only watch as his body violently convulsed and his mouth opened wide in a silent scream, she could only imagine the type of pain he was in.
She saw as his skin turned red and a black gooey substance started slowly seeping out of his pores, she could faintly see smoke coming from his body due to the health his body was producing.
The continuous convulsions stopped and was replaced by his muscles bulging before constricting tightly causing cramps all over his body, this repeated multiple times probably a few minutes before it stopped.
Ai, sat in stunned silence as she had to watch roughly 40 minutes of Seiji's body go through significant changes. His bed was caked with sweat and whatever the black gooey substance was. The convulsions and muscle bulging stop, replaced by random spasms here and there.
Then Seiji's phone began to ring and the caller was none other than Sakura Fujiwara, Seiji's mom.
For the second time today, Ai Hoshino panicked. This was one of the things Seiji had told her to look out for if he was unconscious after evolving. He knew his sensei would inform his mother of his sudden absence and his mom would call to check if he was okay.
It also fulfilled one of the conditions he set to possess him.
"Okay, so all I do is just jump into his body, right?" She asked herself, her panicking rising with each ring of the phone. Deciding not to think about it anymore she decided to just do it.
So she approached Seiji's body, which was still randomly spasming slightly. She literally dived into his body. Seiji's eyes immediately snapped open but they were different, while they were still bright blue they now showed brightly much like Ai's.
Then 'Seiji' blinked and immediately winced as the soreness from the evolution hit, 'Seiji' felt it difficult to move, but with sheer will power 'he' did anyway.
'Seiji' with great difficulty picked up the phone and held it a little too closely to his face and answered.
Seiji's mom's voice came out worriedly over the phone "Oh god, Seiji! I got a call from the teachers they said you weren't feeling well, are you okay!"
Ai, in Seiji's body, could only stare at the screen in shock 'Aren't all the women around him overly beautiful?!' She had only met Alisa Kujou, but was shown pictures of all of his other friends.
"Seiji, are you okay? Should I come home?"
Sakura said, and Ai had realized she had been quiet for a minute so she snapped out of her admiration for Sakura's beauty and cleared her throat but in doing so caused a sharp pain in Seiji's chest due to the soreness, making her drop the phone beside her.
"Seiji!!!" Sakura screamed loudly hearing 'Seiji's' coughing fit.
"I-I'm fine mom! Just a little cold is all, I'll be fine in no time!" Ai said through Seiji's voice. She felt she did well playing the role of Seiji, after all she did act in a few films…they were all minor roles, but still.
The line went quiet on the other end, and Ai didn't know if something happened on her end or if Seiji's phone died when she looked she saw that his phone despite not having been on a charger since she's been summoned was still on 100%.
She was about to say something again until Sakura spoke up again…
"…Who are you?" The tone was cold, so cold that despite being overseas, Ai felt a shiver go down her spine in body and spirit.
Ai had gotten so scared that she didn't even say anything and hung up the phone quickly despite the soreness.
Once the phone was hung up Ai let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. After 2 or 3 minutes of laying there in Seiji's body she was forcibly ejected.
She looked at Seiji silently "You didn't tell me your mom would be that scary?" She muttered to herself.
~ Sakura Fujiwara ~
Sakura was a son-con, she would be the first to admit that, hell she would be proud and announce to the world that she loved her son more than life itself.
So when she had gotten the call from a teacher at Seirei Academy saying that a student informed him that Seiji was sick, she immediately left the meeting she was in and called him to make sure he was okay and see if he needed her to come back.
She called, at first she couldn't see much, but she did catch a glimpse of Seiji, his face was red and the coughing fit, Sakura was already booking a flight ticket back home, but then she heard Seiji's voice that made her freeze.
Like it was previously stated, Sakura Fujiwara was a son-con. She knew everything about Seiji, what he liked and disliked, what type of music he liked listening to, his friends, his mannerisms in certain situations, and even his sleeping postures.
She knew EVERYTHING, so when she heard his voice and how much different it sounded, to her at least, she knew from instantly that whoever was talking wasn't her son.
She immediately called her loyal servant, the one that's been with her since childhood. "Prepare the jet, we're going back home." Sakura said, still staring at the phone which has since been shut off.
"Right away, miss." Her servant bowed and left immediately.
The door behind Sakura opened and out stepped a beautiful woman, she has a milky white complexion, soft raven locks, and delicate dark brown eyes that seemingly appear mauve in color, this was Akemi Kujou another close friend of Sakura and Alya's mother.
"Sakura? Everything alright? You just left out of the room suddenly…" Akemi asked, concern etched on her face.
Sakura looked back at her dear friend and smiled, "Yes, everything is fine. It's just that Seiji has come down with a…strange illness." She said but her voice was a little stained.
Akemi looked even more concerned now, "Oh my! Is he okay?" She asked.
Sakura gave a helpless smile at her friend, it's the same helpless smile that Seiji would have when dealing with her. "It's fine, really Akemi… I would like to apologize but I'm going to have to leave…meaning the contract…" Sakura was interrupted by Akemi who waved her hand in dismissal.
"The contract is already done basically, now all we have to do is tell the both of them."
Sakura nodded, "Right, next time when you come to Japan you have to visit me, and I can properly introduce you to Seiji!" She said gushing when the topic of Seiji came up.
Akemi laughed and nodded. She had long wanted to see the boy that brought her friend out of depression "I would like that." She said,
Sakura was going to continue to sing praise of her son but got a text from her servant telling her that her ride was ready.
"Ah, I got to go! I'll see you soon Akemi, and tell that brute he needs to visit once in a while as well." Sakura said, hugging her friend before leaving.
"I'll make sure he gets the message." Akemi giggled out before waving goodbye at the back of her friend.
