Chapter 11 - JJK 0!

~ Seiji Fujiwara POV ~

The first thing that hit me when I awakened was the smell of old paper, definitely from the Talisman.

Then the memories of the Seiji Fujiwara that lived in this world hit me, it wasn't painful but the feeling was weird. It was like I was starring in a movie that was done in one take.

This world's Seiji Fujiwara was the grandson of a famous kendo instructor, Seiji as a child had shown to be a prodigy in the art of swordsmanship, and was to this day undefeated in a match.

However when he turned 14 he met someone, the love of his life, Ai Hoshino. Ai Hoshino, much like the Ai Hoshino in our base world, was an Idol but this time she was a solo Idol.

Ai was 5 years older than Seiji but the age gap did stop the two from falling in love and soon the two started to date, but they kept it a secret due to the age gap and Ai's career as an Idol… But someone found out.

Yesterday, the two of us were on the phone, chatting as usual until a knock was heard at Ai's door. Ai wasn't expecting anyone but she thought it was her manager stopping by to check on her since she does that sometimes.

That however was far from the truth, when Ai opened the door, instead of being met by her manager, she was met with a man wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.

The Seiji of this world was a little far away to hear the conversation but when he heard Ai scream he immediately rushed to her apartment, but it was too late. By the time he got there his Ai Hoshino was already gone.

…But he refused that reality, Seiji or rather, I couldn't accept that. I couldn't accept a reality where Ai was gone, and in the midst of that rejection I cursed Ai turning her into what could only be described as a vengeful spirit, much like Yuta Okkotsu and Rika.

The last of the memories were filled with grief, hatred, and the want, no, the need for revenge but before I could even think of doing anything I was knocked unconscious, the last thing I saw was a man with white hair and a blindfold.

~ Narrator POV ~

"Hmm?" Satoru Gojo hummed as he watched the young man, seemingly stare at nothing in a haze.

Gojo had coincidentally been in an area when he felt it, the cursed energy flowing out of Seiji was astounding at least for a young man who he had thought was a mere civilian at the time.

Seiji had a bit more cursed energy than himself, then there was the fact that he had a vengeful spirit bound to him as well.

The interest grew after speaking with the boy's grandfather, and the boy's grandfather handed him two things to give him when he woke up, a note and surprisingly a special grade cursed tool.

He had the note with him, but left the special grace cursed tool in his room, not because he wanted to keep it for himself or anything, he had no need for a cursed tool, but because it slipped his mind to take it with him.

Oh well! He'll give it to him later.

"Yo, you're up!" Gojo said finally announcing his presence for the first time to the boy.

Seiji, after finally snapping out of 'memory lane' immediately recognized the strongest sorcerers of the modern era, after reading the whole of JJK in under 24 hours everything about the series was still fresh in his mind especially after the evolution.

But he couldn't slip up, up until now he had been a regular civilian. He shouldn't know what jujutsu sorcery is nor should he know who Satoru Gojo is so he acted oblivious.

"Who… Who are you?" Seiji asked, putting on the role of the depressed young man who had just lost the love of his life…although that is true.

"I'm the most handsomest, most graceful, strongest sorcerer, Satoru Gojo~!" Gojo introduced himself in the most Gojo-centric way possible.

But Seiji did not look impressed, in fact he deadpanned already having the feeling that much like most of the Jujutsu Sorcerers he was gonna get annoyed by Gojo's antics quickly.

"Sheesh, tough crowd." Gojo muttered dejectedly that his introduction didn't get a good reaction out of Seiji.

"Anyway, Seiji Fujiwara. That's your name right? Of course it's your name, your grandpa told me after I spoke with him." Gojo said, making Seiji's eyes widen.

"Wait! You know, gramps! No, more importantly where am I? Those talismans, they look like the ones gramps tells me to keep on me at all times." Seiji said, looking around the room.

"Oh?" That interested Gojo, but not enough to pry into the bits and pieces of it right at the moment, maybe later thought.

"Tell me Seiji, what do you know about curses?" Gojo asked and a head of sweat fell from Seiji's eyebrow, this was it. The moment he becomes a jujutsu sorcerer.

"We got another transfer student?"

4 people, or well, 3 people and a panda could be seen walking up to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School.

The first was a young woman above average height with an athletic build. She has green eyes and long black hair tied into a short ponytail. She sports a pair of glasses that allows her to see curses.

This was Maki Zenin, a member of the Zenin clan one of the first years at Jujutsu High.

The next was a slim young man with light skin, brown eyes, and mid-length hair. The lower half of his face could be seen covered by a high collar with a zipper. This was Toge Inumaki, a member of the Inumaki clan and another one of the first years at Jujutsu High.

The next was another young man with disheveled black hair and dark blue eyes. His body language made it obvious that he was under a lot of stress. His posture screamed unconfident, and has dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep.

This was Yuta Okkotsu, a student that transferred to Jujutsu High a week ago.

The last was well, a panda. A fully-grown giant panda. What's weird about this panda was that he was walking on his two legs like a human and was even talking like one too!

This panda's name is Panda, he was a student at Jujutsu High, as well as Cursed Corpse created by Masamichi Yaga the principal of the school.

"Another transfer student a week after Yuta came along, huh? So what's this one's deal?" Maki asked, wondering if this transfer student was like Yuta.

"Don't know, this one was rather abrupt. Gojo just showed up out of nowhere and said we're having a new student, he looked excited about it too." Panda said.

"Tuna Mayo." Toge chimed in.

"Well look at that, Yuta. You won't be the new kid anymore." Maki chuckled looking back at Yuta who just smiled nervously.

"…" Yuta didn't say anything, he just hoped that the new transfer student was someone he could get along with.

~

"ALRIGHT MY DEAR STUDENTS! WE HAVE ANOTHER TRANSFER STUDENT INCOMING!!!" Gojo announced excitedly, only for him to be met with silence.

"You all are no fun!" He sulked.

"So what's this guy's deal?" Maki asked, ignoring Gojo's sulking.

Gojo slumped even further before it was immediately forgotten and he brightened up again, "Now why would I ruin the surprise~! Come on in!"

The door opened and the moment Seiji stepped in they all felt it, not just the vengeful spirit that was bound to him but also his own cursed energy that was leaking since earlier.

Maki instinctively reached for her weapon only to pause when she remembered what happened last time she was about to attack someone that was cursed. She wasn't the only one though, Panda and Inumaki were also about to react but held back.

Yuta was the only one who did move, partly because he was still confused about this whole jujutsu sorcery business, but he could make out the silhouette behind Seiji.

They couldn't outright see what it was but it had a humanoid shape and the eyes, the eyes were like two twin stars, one was white and bright that seemed to illuminate, while the other was black dark that could swallow everything up.

"Uh…Hello. My name is-" Before Seiji could finish introducing himself, he was interrupted by Gojo who made a gesture at him like he was presenting a new car.

"Everyone meet, Seiji Fujiwara, get along with everyone okay~?!"

Seiji sighed, 'this guy seriously.' He glared at Gojo out of the corner of his eye but was skillfully ignored.

"As you can see, he's much like our dear Yuta in a sense that much like Yuta, he's cursed. Though his curse is a bit different from Yuta's." Gojo continued.

"Now come on! Come on! Introduce yourselves!" Gojo cheered happily, clapping his hands like a kid.

The first one to go was surprisingly the shyest one of them all, "I'm Yuta Okkotsu, uh, I just transferred here as well about a week ago so I don't really know much yet."

"I'm Panda and yes, I'm a panda." Panda said, it seems like he got the same question multiple times.

"Nice to meet you, Panda." Seiji said, holding out his hand for a handshake, which Panda took.

"Kelp." Inumaki greeted, however Seiji couldn't understand what he was saying.

"Huh?"

"He's greeting you, that Toge Inumaki. He's a cursed speech user and his vocabulary is limited to only rice ball ingredients." Panda elaborated.

"Ah, right." Seiji said he knew this already; however he never learned what each ingredient meant. Then he looked at Maki expecting her to introduce herself. She looked at Seiji a little irritated.

"What?" She said with a bit of an attitude.

"Maki, he's waiting for you to introduce yourself." Panda whispered, but everyone heard it, causing Seiji to sweatdrop.

"Tch, Maki." That was all she said before going quiet again.

Yuta nervously scratched the back of his head, "Hehe, uh, that's Maki Zenin, she's a cursed tool user. She uses special tools to exorcise curses- Oh! Did Gojo-sensei explain curses to you?" He asked Seiji.

"Yeah, he did. But that was all he really explained." Seiji said looking at the white haired blindfolded man.

"Haha, so he remembered to explain curses to newcomers this time around!" Panda said laughing more so at Yuta than Gojo or Seiji.

Before anybody else could say anything, Gojo suddenly appeared behind Seiji and put his arms around him, "Alright! Now that introductions are over, it's time for… Jujutsu High's afternoon practical Jujutsu Class!!~ Hmmm, now that there's 5 of you it seems like there's an imbalance, hmmm… whatever should I do?" He said putting on a thinking face.

Then he slammed his fist against his hand like a sudden idea had come to him, "Oh, I know! Panda and Toge, it's your guy's turn to take on a mission with Yuta. So that leaves…"

"Oh, god! Why am I the one always taking care of the rookies?" Maki asked a little heatedly, first she had to babysit Yuta in their first practical class, and now she was tasked with watching over Seiji for his first class.

She was ignored by Gojo who turned to talk to Seiji instead. "Practical class is where I, the teacher, takes you, the student, to exorcise curses…speaking of which you don't know how to exorcise curses do you?" He asked Seiji, to which Seiji shook his head.

"Alright, I'll explain everything on our way there- Oh! I almost forgot your grandpa gave me something to give you, first is this note, the other thing is in my room, he said you should be quite familiar with it." He finished.

Seiji again wordlessly nodded and took the note.

"Alright, let's go!~" Gojo exclaimed loudly, like an excited kid that was finally going on a trip he's been wanting to go on.

"Ugh." Maki groaned before walking out of the door wanting to get away from Gojo and his stupidity.

~ Seiji Fujiwara POV ~

As we were on the way to the car, I completely ignored everything Gojo was saying, he wasn't teaching me anything but rather talking about sweets. I would've been invested in the conversation since I was quite the sweet freak myself but I had more important matters to focus on…

Like this note, my grandfather of this world gave me. The note explained that Seiji's grandad, my grandad, had known about the Jujutsu world for as long as he could remember, but he had seen how cruel and unforgiving the world of Jujutsu sorcerers are and didn't want that for me, his grandson.

However after I turned 4 and awakened cursed energy and started seeing cursed spirits, his hopes that I would live an ordinary life were dashed.

So in his desperation to keep me away from the Jujutsu world, every time I would tell him of a "strange monster" I saw he would write it off as my imagination, in which I would start to think that those monsters were imaginary and began ignoring them.

And it all came to a head when I awakened my cursed technique. At first I was confused, when searching through my memories I had never seen my grandfather training me on my CT or have I myself ever practiced it.

'Wait! There's one memory…' I thought.

On my fifth birthday, grandfather gave me a balloon that I deeply cherished at the time. One day, a few days after my birthday, I was outside playing as usual in the backyard when my balloon that was tied to my wrist untied itself and began to float off.

At the time I remember being really sad that I couldn't reach it because it had floated too high up. And then the world…flipped? And the balloon that was previously towards space was now floating directly towards me.

And when it was over, I remember grandfather rushing outside looking worried, and when I had told him what happened he went quiet and put on this strained smile that I was too young to notice at the time.

It was when I was about to start school when he would hand me this strange talisman everyday that basically hid me from all cursed spirits, practically making me invisible to the Jujutsu world.

As always I didn't question him as he was my grandfather and in my young mind, he was always right.

For the next 8 years, he would give a new talisman everyday, and it was only yesterday when I went out without one, plus the spike in emotions upon seeing the recently deceased body of Ai, my cursed energy ran rampant which brought Gojo, who was nearby, to me.

After I finished reading it I couldn't help but notice how different and similar this world Seiji's is to me. Similarly, the two of us could be stated as prodigies, we both picked up on things relatively quickly.

Like this world Seiji was a Kendo prodigy, since the age of 7 he hasn't lost to anyone with the sole exception of his grandfather. However we were different because this world's Seiji was in one word…gullible.

But then again, I was reincarnated and that's probably what makes us so different.

But still, 'Flipping the world, huh…is that my cursed technique? Or is there more to it? I can't determine just based on a memory from a long time ago, I need to find time to experiment.' I thought, then looked at Maki as she was waiting for us in the car.

'And that time is when Maki and I are fighting the curses… Then there's also Ai, I'll have to bring her out soon or she'll start getting lonely. But, I'll focus on my cursed technique first, remember Seiji one step at a time.'

It was a short ride, the place where our practical assignment is was a hospital.

"A hospital? Is that where the curses are?" I asked, still playing the role of the newbie that knew nothing of the Jujutsu world.

"Yup, a hospital where patients have started to go missing. Places like hospitals are prime locations for curses. A curse probably manifested here naturally." Gojo said, and I noticed that he always seemed to have that slight smile on his face.

"Are there more than one curse in there?" I asked.

"Yup two we know of. Although there are weaker curses, they aren't the priority, your main priority are the two curses." Gojo said before Maki chimed in.

"Crowded places with a lot of memories tend to have generated curses, mostly grade threes and fours." She said, and that's when I finally noticed the sack she carried with her, probably where her weapon is.

"These things have grades?" I asked and Maki sighed in half annoyance and half resignation.

"I'll explain them to you while we're in there." She said and I just nodded, there was no need to push for information, I'll get them soon anyway.

"Schools. Hospitals. People's memories feed negative emotions into those places. And that results in curses like the ones here. Your mission is to exorcise the curses, rescue the patients and if there are any, retrieve their bodies." Gojo said, then he made a handsign and began chanting.

"Emerge from darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure." As soon as he finished those words a black ink like glop descended around the hospital, turning day into night.

'Note to self, start learning barrier techniques ASAP.' I couldn't help but marvel at how cool the curtain looked. But as I was marveling, Gojo interrupted, and I saw a flying object heading straight towards me.

I caught it and instantly recognized the item, it was Rivers of Blood Katana.

"Your grandad told me to give that to you." Gojo said before the curtain came down completely.

I looked at Rivers of Blood and then back at the spot I last saw Gojo, 'That guy's trying to aura farm.' I thought before Maki who was recently silent spoke up now curious about the weapon I had in my hands.

"A katana?" She muttered slowly to herself but I could still hear her.

"New kid. The curses are here." Maki called out, and indeed there were four curses in front of the building and were approaching us.
