Julian put on his clothes and walked outside. He looked up at the sky and realized it was two hours away from midday. He picked out some food from his garden and walked down to the harbor. At the harbor he bought a stick with a bunch a food on it ranging from beef to pineapples.
When Julian was younger he was always alone. He had a few friends but after awhile they all developed dreams and left the village. In the village there were very few jobs you could choose from so most people became traders.
Julian never had goals so he spent most of his time with Poppy and explored places around the village.
But now he doesn't have dreams or Poppy. Julian felt immense dread as this new world he was about to go into he had no friends and no one he knows. He has no idea how these people will treat him. This is because he doesn't know the power these people have. He can only judge the power of these people by using Komodo.
As Julian was thinking about this his heart was pounding. He went to Poppy's house and went to the side of it. He started digging with his hand and after 30 minutes he made a six feet deep hole. Then he went into the house and dragged Poppy's body and threw it in, then through in the severed arm.
He started to put the dirt back into the hole. After he finished he went inside and pulled out a large stone tablet under Poppy's bed. And on the tablet there was a letter on it.
Julian opened the letter it said, "Dear Julian, if you are reading this I am dead. I know that it may seem that I don't treat you well but that's because I have to treat you hard for you to grow. After I die you most likely won't have anyone. I hope you can find people that call you family and I hope you can finally find who you want to be."
A tear fell from Julian's face onto the letter. He quickly put the letter into his satchel and started carving on the tablet with a chisel.
After five minutes he went outside and put the stone tablet on top of the grave. Julian gave a quick prayer hoping that Poppy has a safe path to the afterlife.
At this moment Julian felt empty, emptier than any point in his life before.
Julian slowly walked away from the grave with a expressionless face, as he is empty but in his mind he feels sad, angry, and guilty.
He walked toward the bridge slowly and when he got there he went across. At the end he followed a path toward a open plain. After a few minutes he reached the plain. Behind the plain there was the cut mountain. Julian kept walking till he reached the center of it.
He laid down in the grass letting cling on to him. He closed his eyes and took a nap.
The wind blew gently and grass followed. The clouds moved slowly and after a few minutes they blocked out the Sun. A got a little cold but just barely.
A few more minutes pass by and now Komodo is in the distance walking to Julian. After a few minutes he reaches Julian.
"Hey! Boy get up it's time!" Komodo said with the intent to wake him up.
"Huh, wuuuh." Julian said while covering his eyes with his hands as the Sun came out again.
Komodo replied, "It's time. We gotta go."
Julian got up and started walking with Komodo.
"Hey I got something to tell you." Julian said. Komodo looked at him while walking "Last night I had a dream. And there was this man, he called himself Novak."
At that moment Komodo stopped walking and his eyes widened.
"You say that this mans name was Novak?" He asked
"Yes, his name is Novak he tried talking to me but I could barely hear him." Julian said.
Komodo responded by saying, "This man Novak is the man the whole Nozon Empire is trying to find!"
"Nozon Empire?" Julian asked.
"Their the secret society I work for they call themselves an empire because of the amount of control they have of the world." Komodo replied.
Komodo went on talking, "In one of the writings made from Novak he talks about how he will talk to a man in his dreams and the man that he talks to will be cursed."
"What! What type of curse will I have?" Julian said.
"Well," Komodo said, "We don't know. But now you have a curse on you. I'll tell this to our clan leader and he will make a decision on you."
"What will this decision be." Julian said.
Komodo started to walk again, "This decision can range from keeping you there to research you to and execution. But I doubt they'll kill you because in the writings that were left over from Novak he talks about how the person he talks to in a dream, they will become very powerful, powerful enough to rival me. So with that you might beat Novak on day."
"Wait." Julian said, "How does he know this, is this suppose to be a prophecy?"
"All we know is that the person he contacts will be just as strong as him" Komodo responded, "We could use you kid, we could use you to finally beat him."
