Eliana's POV
We stood in silence as the screens flickered to life. I folded my arms tightly, my eyes fixed ahead.
Then a convoy of mercenaries appeared on the screen. Their vehicles rolled across the dusty road outside Blood's camp before parking near the open field. Doors flew open almost at once.
Don's men stepped out, armed and prepared.
Different weapons hung in their hands, rifles, shotguns, pistols, blades strapped to their sides.
They moved with purpose. No hesitation.
No wasted motion.
The guards stationed at the main gate looked confused at first. I could see them exchanging glances, some stepping forward as if to question the arrival. But they never got the chance.
Gunfire exploded across the screen. Loud, sudden, violent.
Bullets tore through the guards before they could react. Bodies dropped against the gate while others stumbled backward in panic. Some tried to run, scattering in different directions.
