This was Jade's first time in a car with Van. They sat at opposite ends, staring out the window. For just a brief moment, Jade realized that she had never seen him with a phone. Did he not have one for security reasons, or did he simply not use them often? Again, she wondered where her own phone was. Did he have it with him, and could she perhaps get it back?
Jade never spoke about these thoughts, but they were enough of a distraction until they arrived at the next site. It was a remote town, with many trees around it and very few homes. The car entered what appeared to be a park. The sign at the entrance read "Lilly Lake Park."
