"A noble Dragonmaid would never wear such an ugly mask," Kisaragi said coolly.
The moment the mask latched onto Sheou, it shattered like brittle porcelain.
"What—?!" Mask of Light blurted.
"I activate 'Dragonmaid Sheou'! When you activate a Spell, Trap, or monster effect, I can negate the activation and destroy that card!"
"So it's not just 3500 ATK—it can negate Spells and Traps too?!" Mask of Light snapped.
"But after I use that effect, Sheou returns to the Extra Deck—then I Special Summon 'Dragonmaid Housekeeper' from the Extra Deck!"
Sheou's draconic form dissolved into light, reshaping into a refined, glasses-wearing maid.

"At the start of either player's Standby Phase, I can activate 'Dragonmaid Housekeeper''s effect," Kisaragi said, cutting in smoothly. "I target one other Dragonmaid I control. Then I Special Summon a Dragonmaid from my hand or GY whose Level is 1 higher or 1 lower than that target—in Defense Position."
"I target 'Dragonmaid Attendant'—Level 8. So I Special Summon from my hand—'Dragonmaid Nighteye'!"
A jet-black dragon swept in, its white wings flaring. Star-like motes drifted around its body.

"Then I switch 'Dragonmaid Attendant' to Attack Position!"
"Three high-level monsters in one burst…" Yami Yugi murmured. "Unless something huge goes wrong, she's taking someone out."
Kaiba chuckled, the corner of his mouth lifting. "Heh. Looks like even without me, you can end them instantly."
"Maybe," Kisaragi replied, eyes still sharp. "But I don't think it'll be that easy."
"Battle! 'Dragonmaid Nighteye' attacks 'Shining Abyss'!"
"Hook, line, and sinker!" Mask of Light shouted.
"I activate Trap Card 'Mask of Weakness'! Target the attacking monster—its ATK decreases by 700 until the end of the turn!"
"What?!" Kaiba snapped, genuinely surprised.
A dull, oppressive mask clamped onto Nighteye's abdomen, and the dragon's aura visibly dipped.
Dragonmaid Nighteye (2100/1800)
"Counterattack, 'Shining Abyss'!" Mask of Darkness barked.
"You two really think you'll get what you want?" Kisaragi's voice went ice-cold.
"What?!"
"I activate the Continuous Trap 'Dragonmaid Relaxation.' It has two effects—but I have to return a Dragonmaid I control to my hand first."
With a flick, she recalled Dragonmaid Nighteye back to her hand. The attack stopped dead.
"Now for Relaxation's first effect: since the targeted monster returned to its owner's hand, I can add one Dragonmaid card from my Deck to my hand—except another copy of 'Dragonmaid Relaxation.'"
"I add 'Dragonmaid Laundry' to my hand!"
"And because a monster returned to my hand, 'Elemental Spring' triggers—I gain 500 LP."

"Gah—!" Mask of Light could only watch as his set monster was destroyed.
"Then 'Dragonmaid Housekeeper' attacks Mask of Light directly!"
Housekeeper glided forward with eerie elegance—and slapped her palm squarely onto Mask of Light's bloated face.

Kaiba gave a single, firm nod.
"Tch—don't talk like you can beat us next turn!" Mask of Darkness snarled.
"My turn—draw!"
Time to summon that monster, Mask of Darkness thought.
"I Normal Summon 'Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands'!"

"When this card is Normal Summoned, I can add a Ritual Spell or Ritual Monster from my Deck to my hand. I choose the Ritual Spell—'Ritual of the Mask.'"

A grotesque monster stitched together from masks emerged, its entire body a collage of grinning faces.

"3200 ATK…!" Yami Yugi's eyes narrowed. "That's higher than the monsters Kisaragi and Kaiba have on the field."
"Battle!" Mask of Darkness declared.
The instant he entered the Battle Phase, Kisaragi cut in again.
"In your Battle Phase—'Dragonmaid Laundry''s effect! At the start of either player's Battle Phase, I can return this card to my hand to Special Summon a Level 7 or higher Dragonmaid from my hand or GY."
"I return Laundry to my hand—then I Special Summon 'Dragonmaid Nighteye' from my hand!"
Laundry's small maid form twisted and expanded, bursting into its true dragon shape once more.
