Chapter 70 - Match 15 – The Godspeed Assassin vs. The Railgun

Deadpool was currently wearing yellow rubber dishwashing gloves, a tinfoil hat, and was frantically trying to ground himself to the announcer's desk using a thick copper wire.

"We are walking right into a literal lightning storm!" Deadpool screamed into the microphone, his voice crackling with heavy static. "It's Ring 11! We've got the ultimate clash of the high-voltage kids! It's the Assassin Prodigy versus the Level 5 Esper! The floor is about to become a giant toaster, so I hope everyone brought their rubber boots!"

Ring 11 was a massive, abandoned subterranean train station. Miles of steel tracks, conductive metal pillars, and overhead power lines made the entire arena a giant, highly conductive playground.

Heimdall was standing on a thick, elevated rubber mat, wearing a completely insulated hazmat suit. "Match Number Fifteen! The heir to the Zoldyck family of assassins, Killua Zoldyck! Versus the Ace of Tokiwadai, the Railgun, Misaka Mikoto!"

The Arcade Coin Opening

Misaka stood on the tracks, her school uniform lightly blowing in the draft of the tunnel. Blue sparks danced across her bangs. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a single arcade coin, flipping it into the air with her thumb.

"An assassin, huh?" Misaka sighed, catching the coin and resting it on her thumb. "I really don't have time to play around with middle-schoolers in the dark. I'm ending this in one shot."

She flicked her thumb.

BZZZ-THOOM!

The coin broke the sound barrier, transforming into a devastating beam of concentrated orange plasma. It tore through three steel pillars and obliterated the wall behind Killua.

But Killua wasn't there.

A faint afterimage of the silver-haired boy dissolved in the dust. Killua was already hanging upside down from the ceiling rafters, his hands tucked casually into his pockets.

"That was loud," Killua noted, his blue eyes entirely completely cold and calculating. "But you broadcast your attacks too much. Your bio-electricity spikes a full half-second before you fire."

The Iron Sand Defense

Misaka clicked her tongue in annoyance. "Fast. Let's see how you handle an area of effect."

She slammed her foot onto the ground. The immense electromagnetic field she generated pulled tons of iron sand from the surrounding concrete and tracks. The black sand swirled around her like a tornado, forming into a high-frequency vibrating whip that could slice through solid steel. She swung the iron sand whip in a massive arc, covering the entire ceiling.

Killua dropped to the floor, dodging the deadly black wave. He exhaled slowly. Sparks began to violently arc off his skin. His hair spiked upward, glowing with a brilliant, blinding blue light.

"Godspeed: Whirlwind."

The Lightning Rod

Killua vanished. He didn't just move fast; he programmed his aura to send electrical signals directly to his muscles, bypassing his nervous system entirely.

Misaka tracked his movement with her electromagnetic radar, but her brain couldn't process the signals fast enough to react. In a panic, she unleashed a massive, omnidirectional dome of one billion volts, meant to vaporize anything within a fifty-foot radius.

The lightning struck Killua directly.

Up in the booth, Deadpool gasped, clutching his tinfoil hat. "She hit him! She pumped enough juice into him to power a city block!"

The smoke cleared, revealing Killua standing right in front of Misaka. He wasn't burned. He wasn't even flinching. The billion volts of electricity were harmlessly absorbing into his aura, his Godspeed glowing even brighter.

"Electricity doesn't hurt me," Killua whispered, his voice calm and terrifying. "I grew up being tortured with it. Thanks for the recharge."

Before Misaka could blink, Killua's hand formed into a razor-sharp assassin's claw. He didn't strike her throat. Moving with absolute precision, he tapped the back of her neck, delivering a perfectly measured electrical shock directly to her brainstem.

Misaka's eyes rolled back, and she collapsed forward, completely unconscious before she hit the floor. Killua caught her gently by the shoulder and lowered her to the ground, his Godspeed aura fading away.

"Match Fifteen winner... KILLUA ZOLDYCK!" Heimdall announced, exhaling a massive sigh of relief from inside his rubber suit.

Deadpool ripped off his dishwashing gloves and threw them at the camera. "The kid is a literal lightning rod! That is 15 winners down, 36 matches to go in Round One! The Zoldyck heir sneaks his way right into the Semi-Finals!"
