Deadpool strapped a pair of heavily tinted welding goggles over his mask and ducked behind a reinforced concrete barrier. He pulled the microphone close, his hands visibly shaking with excitement.
"Brace yourself, tum, because Ring 40 is about to become a crater!" Deadpool shouted over the sound of rising wind. "We are leaving the wholesome zone and diving straight into the deep end of the villain pool! It's the battle of the 'God Complexes'! Long silver hair versus long black hair! The One-Winged Angel versus the Ghost of the Uchiha! The sheer amount of arrogance in this ring is warping gravity!"
(why just why did I wrote it Haaa!! I am regrettin my life choices at this moment)
Ring 40 was no longer a standard arena. It was a desolate, jagged wasteland of blackened rock, looking like the aftermath of a planetary extinction event.
Heimdall was broadcasting from a heavily armored bunker three miles beneath the surface. "Match Number Fourteen! The legendary leader of the Uchiha clan, Madara Uchiha! Versus the terror of Shinra, the One-Winged Angel, Sephiroth!"
The Clash of Egos
Sephiroth floated gracefully down to the blackened earth, a single black wing extending from his right shoulder. He drew the Masamune, its impossibly long blade glinting with a cold, merciless light. He looked at Madara with a gaze devoid of all empathy.
"I see another broken soul trying to play god," Sephiroth spoke, his voice a smooth, chilling baritone. "I will bring you despair. I will become a memory that you cannot escape."
Across the wasteland, Madara stood with his arms crossed over his crimson armor, his Rinnegan eyes glowing with supreme authority. A slow, terrifying smile spread across his face.
"Despair?" Madara scoffed, a deep chuckle rumbling in his chest. "You speak to me of despair? I am Madara Uchiha. I do not play god. I dictate reality. Now, dance for me!"
The Meteor Strike
Madara didn't bother with hand signs. His eyes widened, and an aura of pure, crushing blue chakra erupted around him, forming into the colossal, armored ribs of the Susanoo. In an instant, the Perfect Susanoo stood hundreds of feet tall, drawing a massive chakra blade that dwarfed even the Masamune.
The Susanoo swung its blade, unleashing a shockwave that sliced the very clouds in the sky.
Sephiroth didn't flinch. He dashed forward, moving faster than sound, leaving a trail of black feathers. He parried the colossal strike with a single, effortless swing of the Masamune. The collision of the blades sparked a shockwave that shattered the ground for miles.
"Impressive strength," Sephiroth noted, soaring upward. "But ultimately, terrestrial."
Sephiroth raised his free hand toward the sky. The heavens instantly darkened. A tear in the atmosphere opened, revealing a swirling galaxy of destructive magic. "Supernova."
"Magic? Cute," Madara laughed. He deactivated the Susanoo and formed a single hand seal. "Tengai Shinsei."
The sky literally cracked open. A meteor the size of a city descended from the heavens, casting a shadow that swallowed the entire arena. It plummeted toward Sephiroth, burning with atmospheric friction.
Up in the booth, Deadpool was hyperventilating. "They are literally throwing celestial bodies at each other, tum! The budget for this single match is going to bankrupt the multiverse! The animators are crying!"
The "Second One"
Sephiroth looked up at the descending meteor. He didn't panic. He simply gripped his sword with both hands, channeled his immense power into the blade, and swung upward.
A crescent wave of silver energy erupted from the Masamune, slicing the massive meteor perfectly in half. The two halves split apart, crashing harmlessly into the wasteland on either side of the arena, sending up tsunamis of dust and fire.
Sephiroth floated amidst the destruction, his wing flapping slowly. "Is that the extent of your power, Uchiha?"
Madara stood amidst the flames, entirely unbothered. His smile grew wider, bordering on manic. He looked up at Sephiroth.
"Well done," Madara said, his voice echoing with absolute dominance. "But tell me, Sephiroth... what will you do about the second one?"
Sephiroth's eyes narrowed. He looked up.
Crashing through the smoke and debris of the first meteor was a second meteor, twice the size of the first, already too close to intercept.
Sephiroth raised his blade to cast a barrier, but Madara had already activated his Limbo clones. Four invisible shadows of Madara struck Sephiroth simultaneously from alternate dimensions, pinning his arms and wings in place for exactly one second.
One second was all it took.
The second meteor made impact. The resulting explosion didn't just shake the arena; it altered the tectonic plates of the realm. A blinding white light consumed Ring 40, followed by a roar that deafened every spectator.
When the dust finally cleared ten minutes later, a massive crater remained. Sephiroth was pinned beneath thousands of tons of molten rock, his wing shattered and his sword snapped in two.
Standing atop the highest piece of rubble, completely unscathed and dusting off his armor, was Madara Uchiha.
"Match Fourteen winner... MADARA UCHIHA!" Heimdall announced, his voice trembling over the static-filled radio.
Deadpool slowly peaked his head over the concrete barrier, tossing his melted welding goggles aside. "The Ghost of the Uchiha takes it, tum! That is 14 winners down, 37 matches to go in Round One! The Semi-Finals are officially going to require a new solar system!"
