Chapter 33 - Ch 33- Natlan’s Dream Master

Since resolving the incident involving Tlazplli, Caelus had effectively become Natlan's own dream master, helping its people settle the regrets of those who could no longer see their deceased family and friends.

As expected, the joy of reuniting with loved ones provided far more Emotion Points than the cost Caelus incurred to manifest them from the Night Kingdom. Each time he fulfilled someone's wish, his total Emotion Points actually increased.

That was only the case for ordinary people. When it came to Vision holders, the Emotion Points they generated were dozens of times greater.

Ordinary people provided around 30 Emotion Points, while Vision holders provided at least around 3,000.

When Kinich reunited with his mother, he once generated 3,500 Emotion Points in a single surge.

But this was still far from the limit for the people of Natlan.

The Affairs Office.

"Inni…"

Seeing the little girl appear before her, even someone as resolute as Mavuika revealed a complicated expression.

She knew clearly that the figure before her was not her sister's true self, but a thought-form condensed from memories.

The real Inni's soul may have already undergone reincarnation countless times.

Even so, when her familiar sister stood before her once again, the turmoil in her heart surged just like the Emotion Points displayed by the system.

"Sister, I'm so happy to see you again." The orange-haired little girl smiled. "Did you receive the gift I left for you?"

"Yes…"

Watching the sisters reunite, the secretary of the Affairs Office could not help but remark in surprise, "I never thought even Mavuika would show such an expression."

During this period, she had accompanied Caelus to witness many reunions between Natlan's warriors and their deceased loved ones. No matter how steadfast the warrior, they would inevitably shed tears upon seeing familiar faces again.

To think that even Mavuika, who always appeared fearless and unshakable, would react this way after seeing her sister.

"Everyone is human. No matter how strong someone appears, there is always a soft place in their heart," Caelus said.

He was genuinely glad he could help Mavuika.

In the original course of events, Mavuika had also encountered an existence carrying Inni's memories.

But at that time, she urgently needed to confront the Abyss and could only exchange a few brief words before parting once again.

Now, she finally had enough time to properly speak with her sister.

Although Inni currently appeared as a child, she contained all of Inni's memories from childhood to old age five hundred years ago.

If they truly wished to speak about everything, it would likely take days.

For Mavuika, this was perhaps a happy burden.

To allow the living and the deceased to converse properly, Caelus had arranged a separate room within the Affairs Office specifically for such reunions.

The name of the room was simple and straightforward: the Chat Room.

Mavuika brought her sister inside.

Only after Inni's allotted time in the living world ended did Mavuika walk out.

"Caelus, thank you for everything you have done for Natlan." After parting from her sister again, there was no trace of sorrow on Mavuika's face. She appeared as resolute as ever.

More accurately, there was now a sense of relief in her expression, making her seem even more radiant than before.

"I thought you might criticize me for disturbing the rest of the departed," Caelus said with a smile.

Mavuika shook her head gently.

"Caelus, I do not know why you have such a misunderstanding of me, but I strongly support what you are doing."

"Many people have resolved the regrets that bound them in the past because of you. That allows them to move forward more firmly into the future."

"You do not need to worry. We should be the ones thanking you."

Many people in Natlan had fallen into despair because of unresolved regrets, even to the point of losing their will to live.

After speaking with the departed, their outlook changed completely, becoming far more positive.

As Mavuika said, once their regrets were resolved, they could finally embrace a new future.

"However, I am curious. How exactly are you accomplishing this?" Mavuika folded her arms and looked at Caelus inquisitively.

She had once been the Pyro Archon, but all she could do was use the Sacred Flame to bring fallen warriors back through the power of Ancient Names.

A method like Caelus's, directly retrieving individuals from the Night Kingdom without relying on an Ancient Name, was something she could not comprehend.

"You can treat it as a talent unique to me."

Caelus made no further explanation.

"I truly wish I had such a talent. Then I could summon Inni to chat every day."

Perhaps because she had finally seen her sister again after so many years, Mavuika was in high spirits and even made a lighthearted remark.

"Perhaps you should visit Mondstadt for further study," Caelus suggested.

For example, learning from Venti how to be a more relaxed Archon.

"Mondstadt?" Mavuika tilted her head slightly. "I once heard the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius mention that Mondstadt has a bartender named Diona whose drinks are exceptionally remarkable."

"If I ever have the chance to visit Mondstadt, I would like to try them."

However, it was currently difficult for Natlan's people to leave the nation. If they ventured outside Natlan's borders rashly, they would suffer misfortune similar to Bennett's.

If she wished to visit Mondstadt for a drink, it would likely have to wait until the Abyss was fully dealt with.

"Come to think of it, I have not yet shared a drink with the Pyro Archon." Mavuika smiled. "When will you grant me the honor?"

"I am still underage," Caelus replied.

As the saying goes, some rejoice while others worry.

While many people were moving forward after seeing their deceased loved ones, a certain young girl from the People of the Springs felt somewhat troubled.

"You've all seen Caelus?!"

Mualani's eyes widened in surprise.

"Yes."

"We've all met him."

Many members of the People of the Springs had also gone to the Sacred Flame Arena to request Caelus's help in meeting deceased relatives and friends. Naturally, they had encountered him there.

"Caelus feels the same as before. It is nothing like the rumors claiming his personality changed drastically."

"I think suspending the Pilgrimage of the Sacred Flame must be due to difficulties he cannot openly discuss."

The members of the People of the Springs chatted among themselves.

Then they remembered something.

"Mualani, you have not seen Caelus yet, have you?" Even as they said it, they found it difficult to believe. "It has already been quite some time since he became the Pyro Archon."

"T-that…"

Mualani grew visibly embarrassed.

Clearly, at the beginning, she had been the one most determined to see him.

After confirming that his personality had not changed, she had been waiting for Caelus to come find her first.

Yet somehow, she had become the only one in the entire tribe who had not seen him.
