Chapter 3 - A3

Present day.

Cathalina and her team got up way ahead of time.

With a light protein shake, they got dressed. No Shower.

The Routine?

15 reps x 4 sets of a basic squat with resistance bands. 30 seconds, 4 sets of a static plank position. Lastly, a 10-minute round the yard.

They didn't need to leave, the accommodation sat with a large front and backyard, overseeing a large pool.

"Nick" Cathalina called as soon as the routine was done, "The address on the envelope, any ideas?"

He nodded, "It's an estate, private owned"

"Great" she patted his shoulder roughly, "Get ready, we move in an hour -and make sure everyone puts on the gloves, we can't have our client detest us on the 1st day"

He nodded and swallowed back the thought.

6:59.

With each walkie talkie set, Cathalina called out,

"Delta 14, Delta 14 …this is Perez, I need a tagging for the roll call immediately -Over"

"Delta 14, This is Von Hart -Nick Von Hart let's begin roll call -Over"

"Delta 14, Paul Reeds, heading out from the left wing -Over"

"Delta 14, Penny Harrison, on my way outside from the kitchen -Over"

"Delta 14, Ron Patel, on my way as well, behind Harrison -Over"

"Delta 14, Estephania Nunez on my way to the front from the back yard -Over"

"This is Perez, head out towards the fountain, cars are on the way -Over"

The lot of them scrambled out of the house and over to the fountain where Cathalina and Nick stood in at ease, arranging themselves in a line behind them both.

They all watched as 2 black vans came in sight from ahead before heading into the house and coming to a stop in the drive through, just in front of them. Men in gray suits stepped out and opened the door to the backseat.

Cathalina, Paul and Penny hopped into the 1st van.

Nick, Ron and Estephania got into the 2nd van.

7:50.

From the busy highways and streets, the vans drove passed a gate and down a narrow, lonely road with the view of a mansion ahead. Through the drive through, the vans came to a stop and the Delta 14 division stepped out and was greeted by a tall, lean elderly man in a polished tux.

"Right on time, come in"

The team followed him from behind, steadily while he waltzed nonchalantly and somewhat confidently down the halls before stopping by a tall, large polished oak door.

A small knock, the man opened the door and urged them all into the room, they headed in and the man shut the door behind them.

The room sat cold and quiet.

It wasn't too wide but wasn't at all small, filled with warm oriental décor and a cozy aesthetic while the two who sat, even the man who stood beside withdrew every warmth from the room.

The pair occupied 2 armchairs which sat just in front of a brick stoned chimney. The chairs were distanced by a wide side table where a tray sat atop, occupied with two small cups of tea with small spoons that laid flat at its sides.

On the left armchair sat an elegant, elderly looking woman with jewelry across her neck, wrists, ears and hair that seemed more expensive than anything they all put together could ever wear. She glanced at each of their faces before leaning forward to sip on her cup of tea.

To the right sat a tall, pale young man, his long legs crossed, fingers intwined into each other as his back sat flatly into the chair, his eyes burdened with fatigue, sat in a thoughtful gaze or maybe, he could care less about who they were. Beside him stood a young dark elegant man with files and a tablet in his hand, his stance, erect and still.

Cathalina stood confidently and ready, irrespective of how the air about her team differed from them, the clients because she knew 1 thing,

She was the captain of Delta 14 Division and she and her team were cut out for whatever bullshit they had going on and the fact remained, they were the upper class but they needed help from the best, and she and her team were undeniably one of the best.

"Cathalina Perez?" the elder called softly, breaking the ice off the room.

"Here" she answered, the woman turned to the young man that sat on the other armchair,

"I hear you are the captain of this team?"

She nodded, "Yes ma'am"

"Wonderful" she smiled shortly before turning to the young man "You and your team will do the honor of protecting my son, Yehezkel" she patted his shoulder, rubbing lightly on his upper arm.

The young man, presumably Yehezkel, nodded slowly like he was listening but had other things in mind.

"Since you are the captain, you will be by his side till he returns home"

'Wow' Cathalina thought.

Their formation info was already discussed and given before their appearance here but well, it seemed like that didn't matter.

'Why all the fuss about protecting him, he's a man -or was it just pampering or maybe his preference?' she contemplated but didn't want to judge just yet.

Yehezkel sipped his tea,

"I want to believe you already know my schedule and how I'll be moving today"

'Huh?'

They were only given formation not his fucking schedule. Cathalina inhaled, calming herself.

The young man sipped some more, placed the half-finished cup back on the tray before rising to his feet and straightening his double-breasted suit, that's when Cathalina came to realize how long his legs were, so much so that he somewhat towered over them,

"Any questions or enquiries" he finally took a glance at their faces, "My assistant, Lyon Dickson is at your service"

That was It. Dickson was the answer.

A quick meeting with him over the schedule and why they weren't given in the first place before Yehezkel could figure it all out.
