Every night, people could read and comprehend it through stargazing. This was also why the Kinkou Order's Eye of Twilight faction—whose duty was "Stargazing"—was responsible for making plans. Because in Runeterra, stargazing was genuinely useful and truly provided solutions to many difficult problems. The entirety of the stars existed to guide the people of Runeterra toward a better future.
Weaving such a grand destiny was undoubtedly an exhausting task, even for the beings of the Immortal Celestial Realm. Under these circumstances, any person outside of destiny could potentially destroy the entire plan in an instant. Faen didn't believe the Celestial beings were magnanimous enough to sit back and watch everything they had painstakingly woven be destroyed by some random guy appearing out of nowhere without batting an eye.
Hearing Faen's question and realizing his underlying meaning, Soraka fell silent briefly. After a moment, she nodded and said, "Yes. To many of my kin, the appearance of a life outside of destiny like yours on Runeterra is not considered a good thing. However, Runeterra is protected by the World Runes. Celestial beings cannot descend in their full forms, so they can only attempt to stop you through various means like possession."
"But that was all a very long time ago."
Perhaps afraid Faen would view her as an enemy, Soraka quickly explained, "Looking down from the Celestial Realm above, the mortal realm seemed shrouded in an unknown chaos. The only futures it could birth were suffering and famine. But from a new perspective, what I see now is a near-flawless beauty."
Looking at Faen, Soraka said peacefully and sincerely, "Just as mortals have the capacity for the most profound cruelty, they also possess boundless potential to show kindness, and the fighting spirit to dare oppose anything among the stars. While I am deeply aware that what the stars desire is a fixed, secure destiny, it is precisely because of what I have witnessed that I am absolutely certain: the static destinies shaped by my kin cannot contain the wild, dynamic potential within mortal hearts."
Hearing Soraka's words, Faen nodded thoughtfully. He didn't grow suspicious over her revelation. In fact, after hearing Soraka's perspective, Faen nodded in understanding and said, "So, you chose to offer encouragement and guidance to those who seek help, rather than instructing or commanding them, correct?"
Hearing this, Soraka stared at Faen in slight surprise for a moment, then nodded in admission, "Yes."
Although she was revered as a prophet, Soraka's methods as a prophet were completely opposite to Faen's.
Faen's method was, "If you don't cooperate, I'll do it myself." Soraka was different. She almost never forced others to accomplish specific things according to her prophecies. Most of the time, Soraka merely presented the future that each choice represented, and then let the other party choose for themselves.
For example, Kalan's choices were the Path of Light and the Path of Darkness. The Path of Light would grant Kalan a bright future; both he and his Linxi would become role models and heroes to Ionians and Vastaya alike. The cost was that his two children would die. The Path of Darkness required Kalan to fall into darkness; his Linxi and children would consider him a disgrace and refuse to mention his name, but both children would grow up healthy and have bright futures.
Another example was the original Kalista. After learning about the Blessed Isles, Soraka showed her two futures. One was to fulfill her mission, find a way to enter the Blessed Isles, and bring the Waters of Life back to Camavor. But the devastated Viego, having lost his true love, would lead his army to the Blessed Isles, triggering catastrophic consequences.
At the time, Kalista didn't know exactly what those catastrophic consequences would be. But anyone living in the post-Rune War era who had studied that history would know: that catastrophic consequence was the beginning of the Rune Wars, which lasted for over a thousand years.
The other choice was for Kalista to turn and walk away. Although this would mean failing her mission, it would cause a terrifying crisis to dissipate into nothingness. Ultimately, Kalista chose the former.
There was nothing much to say about this, because Kalista didn't know what the crisis was. And from Kalista's perspective, her choice to enter the Blessed Isles was perfectly justifiable. After all, Viego's queen was absolutely a generation's wise queen; she had led by example to turn Viego, originally a spoiled playboy, into a wise king.
