"..."
Jean understood what he meant, and immediately felt a little guilty.
"Just got back from outside, and you still have not had lunch today, right?" Jensen asked.
"How did you know?"
"Do I not know you by now?" Jensen spread his hands. "If you had stayed at the Knights of Favonius headquarters today, there's no way you would have deliberately taken time to come all the way here. You must have been passing by on the way back, right?"
"My movements are already that easy to read?"
Jean fell into thought. If that were true, it might give the Fatui or the Abyss Order a chance to set up an ambush.
Of course, with her strength, that would only mean a good opportunity to crush them and ruin their plans.
"What do you want to eat?"
Jensen gestured for her to sit. "I will treat you properly this time."
"I have always received your care..."
"Can you not say such distant sounding things?"
"Then... thank you."
Jean brushed a stray lock of hair away from her cheek and said, "Pizza."
"The usual rule. You cannot tell Margaret."
Jensen said it like a long standing secret agreement.
"I know." A faint smile appeared on Jean's face.
Margaret was the owner of the Cat's Tail tavern. That tavern stood right next door to Good Hunter, and its most popular food was pizza.
If Margaret learned that Good Hunter's boss was also secretly making pizza for guests, there would definitely be trouble on the business side.
"In that case, let us use eel. I was saving it especially for you."
As Jensen spoke, he reached into a bucket in the corner and pulled out an extremely long bodied fish.
"Eel?"
Jean had never seen this species before.
"One of the servants from Diluc's household just happened to catch it a few days ago in the lake beneath Dawn Winery. Since they did not know whether it was edible, they did not dare cook it, so I bought it off them."
Anemo gathered in Jensen's hand. In the blink of an eye, the eel went still. Then he picked up a knife and began to work.
"Eel pizza?" Jean hesitated.
"Correct. As a traveler from another world, I am bound to know some things about Teyvat that the people here have never heard of." Jensen smiled.
...
At that same time, near Mondstadt's city gate.
"The city of pastoral songs, where the winds and dandelions dance, the city of freedom. Travelers under the protection of the Knights, welcome to Mondstadt."
A girl in red, with long chestnut hair and a red bunny ear bow on her head, was enthusiastically introducing the city to a blond girl and her floating mascot who had arrived at this troubled time.
Her tone was full of unconcealed pride, and the two newcomers could not help feeling drawn in.
"Wow, we finally do not have to camp in the wilderness anymore."
The little mascot flying in midair spun around in excitement, but quickly noticed something was off. "Amber, why does everyone in the city look a bit... low spirited?"
"Everyone has been worried about Stormterror lately, I guess."
Amber planted her hands on her hips and said with absolute confidence, "But as long as Jean is here, everything will be fine."
"Jean?"
"Our Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, Jean, protector of Mondstadt."
Amber's eyes shone as she spoke. "With Jean by our side, even a disaster on Stormterror's level is something we can definitely overcome."
The mascot was a little impressed. "You really look up to Jean, Amber!"
"Of course. But before we go to the Knights, we are going to make a stop somewhere else."
"Where?"
"Good Hunter restaurant."
"Restaurant? As in food?!" Paimon's eyes sparkled.
"Little Paimon gets especially excited whenever food is mentioned. It is not even dinner time yet!" Amber laughed. "The reason we are going, is that Good Hunter's boss is also a traveler from another world, just like you, Lumine. Maybe we can get some help from him."
"Also from another world?"
The blond girl addressed as Lumine tensed up slightly.
"Mm. But he is definitely not your brother, that much I can promise. Boss Jensen has black hair and black eyes, and he is really good looking."
Amber had already heard Lumine's description of her brother's appearance outside the city. She waved a hand. "Come on, let's go."
"After this, I also have a gift to give you as payment for helping me clear out that hilichurl camp."
"Ah, if there is a reward, what about me?" Paimon panicked immediately.
"It is something little Paimon cannot use. But tonight I will treat you to Mondstadt specialty Sticky Honey Roast!"
"Waaah..."
Paimon was practically drooling.
"We are here, this is the place."
Amber pointed up at Good Hunter's sign. Just then, she saw a window on the second floor swing open. She cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted, "Jensen! There are two travelers from another world here. Do you want to meet them?"
"Oh?"
Jensen leaned out and looked down, his gaze landing directly on Lumine's amber eyes. For a second, he lost himself.
Then he smiled faintly and nodded in greeting.
He turned to Amber and said, "Come on up, you have good timing. You are in for a treat."
"In for a treat? Does that mean there is something tasty?"
Paimon's face was full of hope as she fluttered up the stairs after Amber and Lumine.
"Acting Grand Master Jean is here too!"
Amber nearly jumped.
"Amber, do not be rude."
Jean said calmly, placing one hand over her chest as she turned to Lumine and Paimon. "Mondstadt welcomes you, travelers who come with the wind."
"Hello."
The Acting Grand Master whom Amber admired so much turned out to be such a stunning beauty.
Lumine's gaze shifted to the Good Hunter boss who had caught her attention from the window. "Hello. My name is Lumine."
