Lucian kept his hands clamped tightly over the boy's eyes, but an agonizing, burning pain suddenly flared across his palms.
Thick, ink-black liquid began seeping from the kid's eyes, burning into Lucian's hands like raw acid. It ate through his skin on contact, melting the flesh off his fingers down to the bone.
"AAAHAAAHAAAA!"
Screaming in blinding agony, still his fingers dug in harder. He refused to let go. Gritting his bloodstained teeth, he ignited his core, forcing all his mana into his ruined hands.

Lava blasted into void's eyes. Steam hissed between Lucian's fingers as the flesh melted straight off his palms, destroyed by his own point-blank heat and the black acid leaking from the kid.
Yet, he refused to pull back. Biting his tongue to push through the pain, he forced every last drop of his mana straight into its skull, trying to boil the brain from the inside out.
But it did nothing.
