KHALID AND AMIRA: THE WEDDING PHOTOS

He looks happy. She looks radiant. They look—perfect. But multiple sources say the prince's mind was elsewhere. Was he thinking about Roman during his own wedding?

---

Lainey Gossip

She was there. In the back. Hidden. Watching the man she loves marry someone else. Multiple sources confirm Roman Helton attended Khalid's wedding. Why would she do that to herself? Because he asked her to. Because she couldn't say no. Because some love is too obsessive to end.

---

NARRATIVE

Roman arrives in Dubai the day before the wedding.

Separate flight. Separate hotel. No one knows she's there except Khalid and Karim.

She texts Khalid when she lands: *I'm here*

He doesn't respond for three hours.

Then: *Thank you*

That's all. Just thank you.

Like she's doing him a favor. Like watching him marry someone else is a gift.

Maybe it is. Maybe this is what love looks like at its most twisted.

---

Karim comes to her hotel room the morning of the wedding.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"No."

"Then don't. Leave. I'll tell Khalid you couldn't."

"I promised him I'd be there."

"He'll understand."

"Will he?" She looks at Karim. "Would you understand if Zuri didn't show up when you needed her?"

He's quiet. "No."

"Then I'm going."

He drives her. Not to the main venue where 500 guests are arriving. To a side entrance. A small room with a window overlooking the ceremony space.

"You'll be able to see everything. No one will see you."

"Does Amira know?"

"That you're here? No. That you exist? Probably. But Khalid hasn't told her."

"So I'm a secret."

"You're the most important person in his life who has to remain a secret. Yes."

Roman sits in the chair by the window. "I hate this."

"I know." Karim squeezes her shoulder. "But you're here anyway."

---

The ceremony starts at 4 PM.

Traditional Saudi wedding. Men and women separated. Khalid in traditional dress—white thobe and bisht. Gold trim. He looks like a prince.

He looks like someone else's.

Amira enters. White dress. Modest but beautiful. Face covered. She's smaller than Roman expected. Younger-looking.

She looks terrified.

Roman feels something unexpected: sympathy.

Because Amira is marrying a man who loves someone else. And she probably doesn't even know.

---

The ceremony is in Arabic.

Roman doesn't understand the words but she understands what's happening.

Vows. Promises. Forever.

Khalid's voice is steady. He doesn't falter. Doesn't hesitate.

He just—does it.

Marries her.

And Roman sits in her hidden room with her hands clenched so tight her nails draw blood.

---

There's a moment—maybe thirty seconds—where Khalid's eyes scan the room.

Looking for her.

He doesn't find her. The window is one-way. He can't see in.

But she sees him looking.

Sees him searching for her during his own wedding.

And something in her chest cracks.

---

The ceremony ends.

They're married.

Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Rashid and Princess Amira Abdul Nazir.

Husband and wife.

Roman sits very still. Doesn't move. Can't move.

Because it's real now. It's done. He's married.

And she's—

She's no one. Nothing. The girlfriend who doesn't exist.

---

Karim comes back an hour later.

Finds her still sitting there. Staring at nothing.

"Roman."

She doesn't respond.

"You need to leave before the reception."

"Okay."

"Roman—"

"I'm fine." She stands. Her legs are shaking. "I'm fine. I'll leave."

"He wants to see you."

"When?"

"Tonight. After—" Karim pauses. "After everything."

"After he spends his wedding night with his wife, you mean."

"They have separate rooms. The marriage is—"

"I don't care." Her voice is sharp. "I don't care if they have separate rooms. I don't care if it's just business. He's married to her. And I just watched it happen."

Karim doesn't argue.

---

She goes back to her hotel.

Sits on the bed. Stares at her phone.

Randall texted hours ago: *How are you?*

She types: *I just watched him get married*

*I know. I'm sorry*

*Are you?*

*Yes. Because I know what you're feeling*

She doesn't respond.

Because Randall doesn't know. Can't know. He's never loved someone enough to watch them marry someone else.

She has. She just did.

And it's killing her.

---

Khalid calls at midnight.

"Where are you?"

"My hotel."

"Can I come?"

"You're married. You shouldn't be coming to my hotel room on your wedding night."

"Separate rooms. She went to hers. I'm coming to you."

"Khalid—"

"I'm already in the car."

He shows up twenty minutes later. Still in his wedding clothes. Looking exhausted.

She opens the door. They stare at each other.

"You came," he says.

"You asked me to."

"I know. But you came anyway."

"I'm an idiot."

"No. You're—" He stops. Steps inside. Closes the door. "You're the only thing keeping me sane."

"You just got married."

"I know."

"To someone else."

"I know."

"Then what are you doing here?"

"I don't know." He sits on the edge of the bed. Puts his head in his hands. "I don't know what I'm doing. I just married someone I don't love while the woman I do love was watching from a hidden room. This is insane."

She sits next to him. Doesn't touch him. Just—exists in the same space.

"Why did you want me there?" she asks finally.

"Because I needed to know you were real. That this wasn't just—" He stops. "That you didn't leave."

"I should have left."

"But you didn't."

"No. I didn't." She's quiet for a moment. "Does she know about me?"

"No."

"Are you going to tell her?"

"Eventually. Maybe. I don't know."

"So the four-person arrangement begins."

"Yes."

"You and Amira for duty. Me and Randall for appearance."

"Yes."

"And we just—what? Keep doing this? Keep meeting in secret? Keep lying?"

"Yes." He looks at her. "Unless you want to leave. Unless you want to take the London project and start over."

"Do you want me to leave?"

"No. But I'll understand if you do."

She's quiet for a long time. "I can't leave you."

"Even after watching me marry someone else?"

"Even after that."

He pulls her close. She lets him.

And they sit there—him in his wedding clothes, her in jeans and a t-shirt—and they don't talk about how fucked up this is.

They just hold each other.

Because that's all they have left.

---

He leaves at 3 AM.

Back to his hotel. Back to his wife. Back to his life.

Roman sits alone in her room and tries to process what just happened.

She watched the man she loves get married.

He came to her hotel room on his wedding night.

And now they're officially in a four-person arrangement.

Him married. Her engaged. Both lying.

Forever.

---

She flies back to LA the next morning.

Doesn't tell Khalid she's leaving. Just—goes.

Randall picks her up from the airport.

"How was it?"

"Awful."

"Want to talk about it?"

"No."

They drive in silence.

Finally he says: "Did he come to your room?"

"Yes."

"On his wedding night."

"Yes."

"And you're okay with this? With being the person he comes to after marrying someone else?"

"No. But I'm doing it anyway."

Randall is quiet. Then: "I can't keep doing this."

"Doing what?"

"The fake engagement. The covering for you. The—" He stops. "All of it. I'm done."

"What does that mean?"

"It means I'm releasing you. Officially. The engagement is over."

"Randall—"

"Don't. You love him. You're always going to love him. Even after watching him marry someone else. Even after being his secret." He looks at her. "I agreed to help you. I did. But I can't watch you destroy yourself anymore."

She doesn't argue.

Because he's right.

---

She calls Khalid that night.

"Randall ended the engagement."

Silence. "Why?"

"Because he's done. Because he can't watch me do this anymore."

"And you?"

"I'm still here. Still—" She stops. "Still yours. Even though you're married to someone else."

"Roman—"

"Don't. Don't try to make this okay. It's not okay. You're married. I'm alone. And we're going to keep doing this anyway because we can't help ourselves."

"Is that what you want?"

"No. But it's what I'm doing."

He's quiet for a long moment. "I'm coming back to LA next week."

"Why?"

"Because I need to see you. Because—" He stops. "Because you're my wife. Not legally. But in every way that matters."

"You have an actual wife now."

"In name only."

"That's still a wife."

"I know." His voice is rough. "But you're the one I love. You're the one I chose. You're—"

"Stop. Just—stop." She's crying now. "You can't call me your wife when you're married to someone else. You can't have both."

"Why not?"

"Because it's destroying me. Because I just watched you marry someone else and I'm still here and I hate myself for it."

"Then leave."

"I can't."

"Then what do we do?"

She doesn't answer.

Because there is no answer.

There's just—this. This impossible situation. This arrangement that shouldn't work but they're going to try anyway.
