I reached down, wrapping my hands gently around her slender ankles, and slipped the silken shoes from her feet one by one, leaving her delicate, pale skin bare to the cool air of the room.
"No shoes on my bed," I said.
I climbed onto the massive mattress, letting my fingertips trail lightly from her ankle. Slowly, I pushed the fabric of her gown upward, my touch tracing a burning line across the smooth expanse of her bare leg.
Ravenna propped herself up on her elbows, watching my every movement with questioning eyes, even as a series of involuntary shivers rippled across her skin.
I smiled, gently stroking her calf. Her gown was now bunched above her knees, her long legs folded slightly upward in a hesitant posture. I leaned down to press a soft kiss to her skin, leaving a trail of small pecks along her left knee. I slowly worked my way back down her calf, all while my free hand caressed her other leg with a soothing rhythm.
