Chapter 8: Doupo Trash
In the silent space, Ruofeng's eyes shone with excitement.
Yes — excitement.
He had obtained trash five times before, yet gained very little of value. This was the sixth time. And this time, the trash was clearly extraordinary — certainly not from Earth.
The pile resembled a small hill, mostly made up of shattered stones, broken porcelain, wood fragments, and dust.
Ruofeng shook his head. "Even if these stones and wood are from another world, they'd still have little value in the Naruto world."
But then his gaze fell upon the true treasure.
Among the heap lay the corpse of a beast. It resembled a wild boar — yet not quite. Its head was boar-like, with two crimson tusks protruding viciously. Its back was covered in barbed spikes and scales. Its tail resembled a serpent's head. Its entire body was cloaked in flaming red fur, as though it were ablaze.
It had been killed by a piercing wound through the skull. The weapon that struck it was nowhere to be found.
"This definitely isn't a creature from Earth," Ruofeng murmured. "It might be a magical beast from another world."
Approaching the several-ton corpse, he lightly touched it.
A wave of heat met his fingers.
To determine where this trash originated, he began examining the rest of the pile for clues.
The Trash Station didn't collect mere garbage. Often, what it retrieved were misplaced treasures, abandoned relics, or forgotten ruins — things left untouched for too long.
As he sifted through the debris, he found several torn books.
Upon reading fragments of the broken pages, Ruofeng's expression changed.
"It's from that world!"
The scattered text mentioned: Douqi Continent… alchemists… Seven-Star Fruit… Xiao Yan…
"Xiao Yan… Doupo… This is trash from the Doupo world? The leap is enormous. This morning's trash came from the Tomb Raider world. Now it's from the Doupo world? The gap between them is absurd."
The Tomb Raider world was grounded in reality at most with minor supernatural elements. But the Doupo world? That was a realm of earth-shattering power.
Which meant this beast corpse was a magical beast from Doupo.
"I wonder what rank it is," Ruofeng muttered. "In the Doupo world, magical beasts range from Rank One to Rank Ten… What rank is this one?"
After piecing together the broken books, he gathered some information.
The timeline suggested Xiao Yan had already entered Jia Nan Academy.
Aside from the damaged book, there was also a notebook and a porcelain bottle.
The bottle contained a fragrant green liquid.
The notebook appeared to belong to a novice alchemist — someone who admired Xiao Yan deeply. It recorded early attempts at alchemy and descriptions of various medicinal herbs. Though there was no complete pill formula, it described the liquid inside the bottle.
It was a Foundation Establishment Spiritual Liquid.
Similar to the one Yao Lao once refined for Xiao Yan — but clearly inferior. The novice lacked Yao Lao's skill, so while successful, the effect was mediocre.
Ruofeng gently lifted the porcelain bottle.
"Mediocre… that's only in the Doupo world. Compared to Naruto's world, this is extraordinary."
Even if it wasn't as potent as Yao Lao's version, for someone like him — just beginning to cultivate chakra — this was priceless. Far more effective than medicinal baths.
But what truly thrilled him was the magical beast corpse.
The blood still felt warm. It had clearly been freshly killed.
Even if it were only a Rank One beast, it was still born in a world where energy far surpassed the Naruto world. Its flesh would be an incredible supplement here.
Especially for Ruofeng — only five years old and still growing.
Chakra strength depended on physical vitality and spiritual power. His spirit was already strong due to having lived two lifetimes. If his physique were enhanced as well, the chakra he could extract in the future would be terrifying.
His eyes narrowed.
"The biggest problem now is how to transport it. If only a storage ring had appeared in the trash."
Fortunately, selected items inside the Trash Station were preserved in a time-stilled state — the corpse wouldn't rot.
"I'll cut some meat first and test the effects. If it works, I'll get sealing scrolls."
The Naruto world possessed spatial storage in the form of sealing scrolls. Previously, without chakra, he couldn't use them. Now, he could.
He nodded to himself.
"Tomorrow, I'll butcher this magical beast, seal it in scrolls, and have it processed into preserved meat. From then on, I'll eat magical beast meat daily."
With that, Ruofeng turned and exited the Trash Station.
