At this moment, Zavian's face fell into a deep, uneasy Silenc. Worry lingered in his eyes. He let outa cold sigh...slipping his
hands into his pocketsas he lifted his gaze towardthe Sky. His tone was calm yet terrifying as he addressed Kalene:
"Kalene... the danger that was once only watching Sheyaan is now...living with her."
Zavian's eyes began to flicker because of the strong wind, as if a new storm was rising within them.
Hearing this, Kalene was completely shocked, his eyes widening in disbelief.
"What?! Is he really living with Sheyaan? But why...?"
Kalene's voice carried both fear and questions.
Zavian turned towards Kalene and said in a completely calm yet serious tone:
"I don't know what he wants... but I do know.. that he is after Sheyaan's life."
Kalene asked softly, almost in a whisper,
"But who is he? And.. if he wants to kill Sheyaan, that means your life is in danger too."
Zavian looked at Kalene with his sharp, shining eyes and revealed the truth in his "Cold" voice—something that shook Kalene:
"That person belongs to Sheyaan's own house... and...today, he even tried to kill her. But...at the right moment, I saved her
The moment Zavian's word sank in, Kalene froze. Completely stunned-- as if he had turned into stone.
His face went blank, and it felt like his soul had left his body. He stammered in a trembling voice:
"He tried to kill Sheyaan?! What...!! Is she.. okay now?"
Zavian sensed Kalene's concern and replied gently,
"Yes, she is fine now."
Then Zavian sank into deep thought. Suddenly, a wave of anger crossed his face, and he spoke in a slightly harsh tone:
"Kalene! Tell me..., when will my powers return? I stay near Sheyaan all the time now, yet my...abilities don't even respond to me!"
Zavian controlled his anger a little and then said something that made the mystery even deeper:
"When I.. hold Sheyaan's hand..."
Zavian continued, "...Only then my powers respond to me and I feel at peace. Now you tell me... what should I do?"
Today, Zavian was extremely serious about his powers.
Seeing his anger and irritation, Kalene also became serious. In a firm voice, he said:
"This is truly a serious matter. Even after staying so close to Sheyaan, your powers are not responding... this is not right. We have to do something."
Zavian's anger flared even more. He roared:
"Do you even know? Because of this fear, I haven't even collected a single 'Soul' , worried that I might..lose whatever little power I have left! I can't...afford to become weak again!"
Zavian pointed his finger at Kalene and, in a terrifying and "Cold" tone, said:
"Kalene! Do whatever it takes, but...find a way to bring back my powers... understood?"
With that, Zavian walked away quickly. Kalene stood there, completely shocked after witnessing his threatening demeanor.
Kalene remained standing there and murmured to himself,
"We have to do something..."
As the night passed, a calm morning light slowly entered Sheyaan's room.
Sheyaan gently opened her eyes and sat up, rubbing them.
"Umm... my whole body is in a lot of pain" she said with a slight groan.
As soon as she said this, she began thinking about last night. She placed a pillow in her lap and sighed softly:
"Last night was so scary..." Aaah..
Then her thoughts shifted to Zavian. Sheyaan curled up her legs and asked herself in a low voice:
"And him... I don't understand how I.. should see him. First he gets angry, and.. then he shows softness..."
Sheyaan widened her eyes and, sinking into deep thought, spoke in a very "Soft" voice...
And she got lost in the hazy memories of her past. "When I... was little, he looked exactly the same...
just like he looks now—cool and..handsome. Do Demons never grow old?"
she wondered in surprise.
Sheyaan was still tangled in these thoughts when suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"Knock... Knock!"
The sound of the knock broke her chain of thoughts. She turned and saw Fangxi entering the room with a smile.
Seeing him, a soft glow appeared on her face. She asked excitedly:
"Fangxi! When did you come back.. from the office?"
Fangxi walked closer and replied with a smile,
"When you were fast asleep... Anyway, now..quickly tell me how your study is going?"
Sheyaan answered with a bright smile,
"My study has been totally bindas! ( Amazing ) My Professor explained everything to me... really well, and I've...also completed the work she gave me."
Fangxi silently looked at her innocent face for a few moments, then said in a very soft voice:
"That's really good... Now stop talking...and come downstairs for Breakfast."
Looking into Sheyaan's eyes, Fangxi said,
"Today, I'm going to introduce you to...someone special. Come?"
Saying this, Fangxi gently held Sheyaan's hand and helped her stand up from the bed. Smiling, he added,
"I'll be waiting...for you downstairs, come quickly... okay?"
Sheyaan nodded innocently with a "Yes" and walked toward the washroom.
Fangxi also left the room and went down to the hall. As soon as he reached there, his phone started ringing.
Fangxi picked up the call and said softly,
"Yes, Mom..."
From the other side, his mother's warm voice came through,
"How are you, Fangxi? Is everything.. fine at home?"
Fangxi replied calmly,
"Yes Mom, everything is fine here. But...when are you coming back?"
His mom answered gently,
"Son, I'll be leaving from here in.. two days... And tell me.., you're not troubling Sheyaan too much, right?"
Hearing Mom's words, Fangxi got a little shocked and quickly said,
"What? I'm troubling her? Actually, the truth is that...she troubles me!"
"When you come back, I'll give you...all the details about what he.. has done.
Fangxi was still complaining when a voice came from behind,
"Who are you talking to? And..whose deatail will you give?"
Fangxi turned around and saw Sheyaan standing there. He replied,
"It's Mom on the phone."
Hearing this, Sheyaan quickly ran over, took the phone from Fangxi's hand, and sat on the sofa like a little child.
With affection, she asked,
"Aunty! When will you come? I miss..you a lot."
From the other side of the call, a soft voice replied,
"Yes my child, I'll come soon, okay? And...don't trouble Fangxi too much, okay?"
Hearing this, Sheyaan got shocked and immediately said,
"What? I trouble Fangxi? Actually, he is the one..who troubles me!"
Fangxi was surprised hearing this. His eyes widened as he stepped closer and said,
"Huh... you're such a liar!"
Hearing Fangxi, Sheyaan gave a mischievous smile and said on the phone,
"Aunty! Please don't believe anything.. he says..."
Sheyaan had barely began to complain-- when suddenly, Fangxi snatched the phone from her hands.
"Mom...mom!" He quickly protested, his voice filled with urgency.
"She's lying! I don't trouble. Her at all!
Sheyaan wasn't going to give up. She grabbed the phone back from Fangxi and said loudly,
"Aunty! Take care of yourself... bye-bye!"
From the other side, Mom's voice came,
"Bye-bye child..." and... take care of yourself too!"
and Sheyaan cut the call.
Watching all this, Fangxi looked at Sheyaan angrily and scolded her in a playful tone,
"Sheyaan!! I won't spare... you!"
The moment Sheyaan saw Fangxi's "angry" red face, she gave a mischievous smile and ran away, challenging him,
"Catch me first!"
Both of them started running around the house like cat and mouse.
The atmosphere was full of fun and laughter, but then... suddenly, Sheyaan collided hard with someone.
Startled, she looked up--and the moment her eyes met his...She froze. Completely shocked.
