Chapter 45 - The Traitor's Identity :

An eerie silence suddenly fell over the park the kind that makes your skin crawl. Then suddenly

" Bang!!"

The sound of gunfire tore through the air echoing so violently that everyone froze in place shoke written across their faces.

Another shot tore through the silence.

That single sound made Zavian's breath hitch.

Zavian—the man who feared nothing—was shaken to his core at the sight of Sheyaan in danger.

As he turned back, the scene before him was terrifying.

A man dressed entirely in black stood there—wearing a mask and a hat, holding a gun.

His deadly gaze was fixed only on Sheyaan.

The bullet fired from his weapon was speeding straight toward her feet.

Seeing this, a pain-filled scream escaped Zavian's lips, echoing through the park—

"She...Sheyaaaann…!!"

Without wasting even a second, Zavian pulled Sheyaan toward himself with all his strength.

The sudden force made her let out a soft cry,

"Aaahh…!!"

In the very next moment.

Zavian held her tightly against his chest and stood in front of her like an unbreakable shield.

Sheyaan, completely unaware of what had just happened, couldn't understand anything.

Terrified, she clung to Zavian tightly. as if he was her only safe place in the entire world…

Zavian's hand snapped back in a swift motion and in the very next instant a surge of blood.

red energy erupted frome his palm. Crackling like lightning in the dark.

The energy spread across the entire park like a raging storm. In the very next second… an eerie silence took over.

Time itself seemed to freeze.

People stood locked in place those who were speaking were frozen mid-word, and those walking were halted mid-step.

The most terrifying sight was the bullet.

which had been racing toward Sheyaan just moments ago… now suspended in mid-air, right near Zavian's hand.

Zavian's breathing was heavy, his heart pounding wildly. With trembling urgency, he held Sheyaan by her shoulders.

"Sheyaan… are you okay?"

he asked in a cold yet heavy voice. Slowly, Sheyaan lifted her gaze. She looked into his eyes.

they still carried their usual coldness… but beneath it, a deep concern for her was clearly visible.

With a shaky voice, she simply nodded,

"Hmm…"

Seeing her innocent, frightened face… something inside Zavian melted.

Gently, with a surge of protectiveness, he cupped her face in his hands. as if he wanted to shield her from every danger in the world…

Zavian gently touched Sheyaan's face, then took a deep breath and pulled her back into his chest.

His heart wasn't racing from fear… but from an overwhelming instinct to protect her.

He was furious.

the kind of anger that could turn everything to ashes. He held her tightly, as if he would never let her go again.

But in the very next moment, Zavian composed himself. He slowly pulled away from her… and turned to face the frozen scene behind him.

His eyes now gleamed like a predator's. There was a dangerous intensity in them.

He reached out and caught the suspended bullet between two fingers…then turned it toward the "Hidden Spy."

Step by step, he walked toward the man. who stood frozen in time like a lifeless statue.

There was a cold dominance in Zavian's walk…a pride powerful enough to crush anyone beneath it. He stopped right in front of the man.

Zavian glanced at Sheyaan with cold eyes and gestured for her to come closer.

Silently, she stepped toward him.

At that moment, he held her hand—bringing her under his protection.

Then he raised his hand again… and that same blood-red lightning surged from his palm.

In a swift motion, he directed it toward the spy's pocket. The moment the energy touched it—

a phone slid out on its own and landed straight into Zavian's hand.

Zavian cast one cold, piercing look at the "Hidden Spy"…Then he began checking the phone.

His face remained expressionless.

but his cold fingers moved rapidly across the screen..He needed to know… who was truly behind this deadly plot.

But the moment Zavian saw something on the phone… he froze in shock.

His eyes widened, and in that suspended silence, his breath seemed to stop.

Slowly, he lifted his gaze from the phone and looked at Sheyaan standing beside him.

Sheyaan—still quiet and shaken—was looking only at him with her innocent eyes.

Zavian couldn't believe what he had just seen.

Under his breath, he murmured,

"How… how can there be so many calls on this phone… from this person?"

A storm of questions rose in his mind. but he quickly regained control over himself.

Silently, Zavian placed the phone back into the "Hidden Spy's" pocket…

and pulled Sheyaan a little farther away. Now, it was time to let time move again.

Zavian snapped his fingers in the air.

"Snap!!!"

In that instant, the park came back to life. As if waking from a deep sleep—

people resumed their conversations, and those who were walking continued their steps.

Time had started flowing again. And then. the bullet that had been frozen mid-air…

shot forward like an arrow toward the "Hidden Spy" …grazing him slightly before passing through.

As soon as time resumed,

the bullet that had been frozen mid-air shot forward like an arrow—straight toward the "Hidden Spy."

The moment the man saw it coming at him, his heart began to race wildly.

In panic, he quickly moved aside. and the bullet passed right by him.

For a brief second… he felt relieved. But the very next moment he saw Zavian standing right in front of him.

He froze in shock. Panicking, he tried to fire his gun again. But Zavian was far faster.

Already anticipating his move,

Zavian struck with lightning speed, slamming his cold hand against the spy's neck.

The impact was so powerful that the man was thrown straight to the ground.

a painful scream escaping his lips:

"Aaaaah…!!"

Without wasting a second,

Zavian kicked his hand, sending the gun flying far away. Now, the enemy was completely helpless.

Zavian slowly crouched beside him, his presence alone sending chills through the air. In a deep, threatening voice, he said,

"You're lucky… you survived that shot."

His tone turned colder, deadlier,

"I know who you are…

and I also know who's behind all of this."

As he spoke, Zavian's eyes suddenly turned blood red. burning like fire.

Locking his gaze onto the spy, he growled through clenched teeth,

"Do you want me... to kill you… right now?"

Seeing that monstrous aura… those glowing red predator-like eyes…

The man began to tremble uncontrollably. Facing death so closely his voice started to shake.

the man trembled uncontrollably.

"Ple...please… you can't kill me… I… I promise I'll never follow you again. Forgive me… please!"

He began begging desperately in front of Zavian. Zavian looked at him… a cold, victorious smirk forming on his lips.

His presence was calm, dignified… yet terrifying.

Slowly, he raised his hand toward the man's neck. But then Sheyaan panicked.

She knew Zavian was capable of anything in anger. She quickly grabbed his hand and said,

"No… don't… don't kill him!"

Zavian looked at her innocent face…and for a moment, his anger softened.

Then he turned to the "Hidden Spy" and said in a cold, firm voice,

"Go… I'm letting you live. You tried...to kill my 'innocent life'—Sheyaan…

the only reason... you're still alive...is because your luck favors you."

Hearing this, the man felt as if he had been pulled back from death itself. He scrambled to his feet…

and ran away without looking back. Zavian remained standing there in silence.

Sheyaan, still shaken and overwhelmed, slowly walked toward him. Gently, Zavian ran his hand through her hair—trying to comfort her.

Then he took her hand… the one with the tattoo. His grip tightened.

carrying a strange sense of possession… as if he could never afford to lose her.

He cast one last glance at the fleeing man…

while his mind remained stuck on those calls he had seen on the phone…

The man, who had been running in panic to save his life, had barely made it a few steps away…

when Zavian slowly moved his finger in the air. In that instant.

the same terrifying red energy burst from his fingertip once again.

Zavian pointed directly at the fleeing man. The energy shot forward like an arrow.

striking straight into the spy's leg. The impact was devastating.

The man collapsed to the ground with full force. a piercing scream escaping his lips:

"Aaaaah…!!"

He writhed in pain…

From a distance, Zavian watched him. a deep, ruthless smirk forming on his lips. In a cold, emotionless tone, he said:

"This pain… will always remind you of me."

In that moment, Zavian's true nature was undeniable. he wasn't just a protector…he was also a terrifying enemy…

one no one would dare to face.He had left his mark a mark that would never fade.

Zavian had left the spy in unbearable pain.

All this time Sheyaan had stood there in silence watching everything unfold but in the next moment She stepped forward.

"Hey…!! What...did you just do…?"

Zavian looked straight into her eyes and replied coldly,

"You don't leave an enemy like that."

Thousands of questions filled Sheyaan's innocent eyes. In a soft yet angry voice, she asked,

"Who was that man… and... why did he fire at.. us?"

There was fear in her voice… but also a demand for the truth. Suddenly, in anger, she forcefully pulled her hand away from Zavian.

Seeing her changed behavior, Zavian went completely silent— watching her with his cold, unreadable gaze.

Sheyaan asked again, her voice trembling now, but her anger even stronger—

"I asked you... something! Answer me…!!"

For a moment, silence took over.

Then Zavian looked deep into her eyes and said just one sentence—

"He… was someone close to you."

That single truth froze everything. Sheyaan's face turned pale…

her breath caught… And a new fear was born inside her. what if the enemy… was someone she trusted?
