Lina suspected that her nephews wouldn't dare make any major moves against her for the time being. Now that she had formally ascended the throne of Lorraine, the law was on her side, and openly challenging her claim would put them in a difficult position. If they wanted to remove her, they would have to resort to assassination or some other form of conspiracy.
Her two uncles, however, were another matter. They were far more powerful than she was, and Lina doubted they would sit quietly and accept the situation. They would likely find ways to cause trouble before her official coronation, which meant she needed to settle the succession issue as quickly as possible.
I need to discuss this with the Duke of Anjou. He must know more about the situation and probably already has some arrangements in mind. Of course, he'll probably mock me and make things difficult again, but I don't have much choice. I'll just have to put up with him.
