I was only sixteen
when I saw him for the first time.
He used to stand outside my school gate,
hands in his pockets, eyes searching for someone.

One day he asked my friend for my Instagram ID.

"Hey… you look really cute."
I ignored it.
I was not the kind of girl who talked to boys.
But my friend forced me,
"Just reply once."
And that one reply
changed my whole life.
We started talking.
Day after day.
Good morning to good night.
Slowly…
I started feeling something for him.
One day I gathered courage and asked—
"Are you single?"
His reply broke me—
"No."
I tried to act normal.
"Oh… okay."
But my heart was already falling.
Then he added—
"I have a girlfriend."
I should have walked away.
