A few days passed.
One evening, Otaku recieved a call. It was Iris.
"Are you free tomorrow?" she asked.
"It's Saturday." Otaku replied. " You know i don't work on weekends"
"Perfect. Then its tommorow." She took a pause, then said "Serena agreed.
Otaku without a thought said "Serena? Who's she?" Ignoring him, Iris said "tomorrow in the evening, at the White Turtle Café"
"But that's where i work".
"She knows" Iris said "do not be late".
"You sure I'll be fine?" Otaku asked nervously.
Iris calmed him down by saying "Just be yourself and everything will be fine"
"Fine," Otaku said "I'll DM you the details later. Have to return to my work now "saying this Iris cut the call.
Before reaching the café Otaku recieves a message from Iris: "She doesn't like people who try too hard. You are a good person at heart. Do not pretend to be someone else".
With this message, Otaku left his home.
Otaku reached the café earlier than he needed to. He took a seat at the back, beside the fireplace, sitting there..... and began staring outside waiting for Serena.
He watched snow falling off the trees, drifting quietly to the ground. People walking to or from their homes.
He was pulled back to the present when a barista-his friend Abhi-spoke up "So, Otaku, Will you have something while you wait?
"Americano," Otaku replied without thinking. He then went back to checking his phone, nervously waiting for Serena.
