VIVIENNE's POV
''Roman?''
I turned around, my neck almost snapping off ny shoulders.
What was he doing her?
He hadn't been to the pack house for a while but suddenly shows up for a party?
''I told them them they could throw a party Vivi.'' He responded, coming closer to me.
He looked worn out and I tried my best to not jump on him and give him a tight hug.
Instead, I grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him out of the room and to a quiet part of the hallways. ''Are you crazy? I mean…they can throw a party whenever they wanted. But not in the east wing! Are you even in your right mind?'' I crossed both hands against my chest and eyed him, waiting for his response.
He dragged a hand through his hair. ''My brothers are finally back after a long while. The whole pack deserves to know that. Plus…this would be a great way to get their minds off the attacks.''
I unclenched my hands and it fell to my sides as I let out a loud exhale. ''But they swore to never come back to the pack! Aren't you going to say anything to them? To ask them why they are back? They must have caused some kind of trouble and you aren't even saying anything. Who knows, they might be the reason for the attacks. We never—''
''Stop it, Vivienne!'' Roman roared, his eyes bloodshot.
I flinched, shrinking myself to the wall as I stared at him with wide eyes.
It was the first time he'd ever raise his voice as me or even call me by my full name.
His voice still echoed in the corridor, the sound a sharpened knife hammering against my heart.
''Vivi, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to—''
His words caught in his throat as he watched me step back, my body trembling slightly.
''Baby…''
He reached to touch me but I pulled away just before he could, turning around and walking back to the party.
A few people were drunk already, swaying hips and tongue fucking each other.
I reached for the bar side and plopped on one of the bar stool.
''Pour.''
''Luna—''
''I said pour!'' I snapped, my voice rising.
''Yes ma'am.'' The wolf playing bar tender murmured, reaching for an alcoholic drink and pouring it into a glass ware before passing it my way.
I gulped it, the liquid burning my throat.
I slid the glass back to the bar tender. ''More.''
His face was skeptical, bothersome like he wanted to stop me. But he didn't bother. Not with the look on my face.
My eyes drifted to the dance floor, my legs tapping against the marble floor as the music blared higher.
Then my eyes landed on her.
Fiona?
Didn't she say she had something urgent to do?
The bartender placed another glass of the drink in front of me and I gulped it down, hating the alcohol for not burning me as much as I wanted it to.
I tossed the cup back to him. ''I'll be back for more.''
I stood up the stool, almost tripping on the legs and walked towards the dance floor where Fiona was swaying her hips, her left hand flying in the hair and her right one holding a bottle of liquor.
''Fiona?!'' I called out
She didn't turn back, probably didn't hear me through the sound of the music.
''Fiona?!'' I shouted into her ear and she jumped, turning around.
Immediately she sighted me, her eyes widened and she tossed the bottle of liquor to a random person in the crowd, putting her hand up like she had been caught committing an heinous crime.
Because she had.
What was she expecting?
To come to the east wing where the Alpha and Luna dined and not bump into the Luna? Was she serious?
''I came to talk business with the Alpha and ended up—''
''Don't give me that bullshit, Fiona. I thought something bad happened at home.'' I interrupted, my voice filled with worry.
''I was worried about you and you were out here partying.'' I uttered, shaking my head and turning away.
But she held my hand, stopping me. ''I'm sorry, Vivienne. I heard the triplets are back and was really excited. Plus I thought this would be a getaway after all the panick that has been going on at home. I should've told you.''
I nodded. ''Yes, you should.''
I completely understood her. Her father was also on the frontline so her family would obviously being in panick.
''Have you spoken to the alpha yet?'' She suddenly asked, her voice loud so I could hear her through the blaring music.
I grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her out of the east wing, the cool night breeze hitting our skin.
''Oh my God! You almost blurred out my whole family problem.'' I whisper-yelled, letting go of her wrist.
''Sorry. Didn't think you'd hear me. Have you spoken to him yet?'' She asked, her eyes bright as she anticipated my response.
I sighed. ''Not really.''
''Not really? Are you gonna spill the bean or what?'' She asked, crossing her arm against her chest with a dramatic look on her face.
I chuckled. ''We didn't really talk okay? He just told me he gave permission to his brothers to throw the party. That's all.'' I muttered, my voice strained with sadness.
''Oh girl..'' Fiona gasped, pulling me to her.
I hugged her tightly, my eyes sizzling with tears I was trying hard to not shed.
She pulled me away slowly and held me by the shoulders. ''You know what we should do?'' Fiona asked, a wide smile plastered across her face.
I smiled too, my eyes brightening knowing she was going to say something mischievous and I was going to be all in.
''We should go hunting! You know…change to our wolf form and play around.''
My face fell, my smile faltering. ''Uhh…I don't think that's a good idea.''
Fiona took her hands off my shoulder and waved a dismissive hand in the air. ''Don't worry, Alpha won't find out. We'll just be in and out quickly. I've never seen your wolf before.. come on..'' Fiona whined.
I bit the inside of my cheeks, the metallic taste of blood filling my mouth. ''We can't, Fiona.'' I uttered, making her frown, the lines on her forehead deepening.
''It's not safe. With all the attacks going on, I'm sure some of the rogues or our rivals from the neighboring packs would be lurking around the forest. We don't wanna put the pack in trouble.'' I added, holding her hand. ''Let's go back inside.''
We went back inside and Fiona went back to rocking her ass against the single men's bulge while I sat back on the bar chair and gulped drinks after drinks.
The music suddenly died down after a while and Roman asked all the pack members to leave.
I wasn't even half as drunk as I wanted.
I snatched the bottle of alcohol from the bar tender's hand and snarled at him.
He rushed out of the room alongside the rest of the pack members and only Roman, I and the triplets remained.
I didn't even notice them before.
They were sitting on the couch with their eyes laced on me, a certain weird look embedded in them.
I shook my head.
Maybe I was drunk.
''Vivi?'' Roman's husky voice bloomed from behind me and I turned around to see him heading towards me, his face filled with concern.
''Look…I'm really sorry I mentioned the open marriage okay? I didn't know you would react that way to it. I thought you'd want to do that considering I haven't really been around much.. I only mentioned it cause I've been so antsy lately. About the pack.. and the injured.. I know you saw them, Vivi.'' He muttered and my heart started to beat fast.
How did he find out that I went to the infirmary? Was he going to scold me?
''I'm not gonna scold you, Vivi. I understand why you did what you did.'' He said then stepped closer to me.
''Fuck!'' He cursed under his breath, shrinking his nose. ''You reek of alcohol. Have you been drinking Vivi?'' He asked, trying to take the bottle off my grip.
But I held tighter, my eyes only focused on his plump red lips as it moved.
I wanted to kiss them.
I reached up, my eyes blurry and brought my hand forward to wrap around his neck. But I just ended up pulling at thin air.
Fuck.
I was indeed drunk.
My body suddenly started to burn, my hands started to tremble and my thighs started to burn with need.
I couldn't tell what was going on anymore.
The bottle slipped off my palm as Roman took it off me and the way I wanted him to take me right here, right now couldn't be explained or blamed on the alcohol I had induced.
Something was wrong.
The triplets..
I turned around, my eyes holding menace as I pointed an accusing finger at the triplets. ''Y—You fuckers! You drugged me, didn't you?'' I shouted, tracing my hand against my body through the thin fabric of my clothe.
A small, desperate, embarassing moan slid off my tongue and the urge to take off my clothes and run my hand through my naked body pricked me.
''W—What did you do to me—'' I slurred.
''Baby..'' Roman's voice cut through the air. ''You're in your heat.'' He murmured, wrapping his hand around my waist and pulling me closer to his breath was on my neck.
I moaned, not caring if the triplets where just inches away from us.
''Then help me, Roman. Fuck me.'' I whimpered, rocking my hips into him.
''I—I can't.'' He responded, his voice hoarse. ''But they can.'' He added and I froze my movement.
What was he talking about?
Even in heat where I was craving more than just one touch, I knew his words sounded absurd.
''What do you mean—''
My words hung in my throat as the presence of Roman's triplet brothers was felt.
Another hand circled around my waist and drew me closer, my body dropping limp on his shoulders. That scent…
''Maddox—''
''Shhh…'' Cassian whispered against my ear, interrupting me. Before I could retort, he bit at my earlobe.
I gasped, a shameless moan escaping my lips.
I arched my back to give into him when the minty scent of Rhys hit my nostrils from behind.
His hand slid down my thighs and he pulled my ass closer till it almost felt like he was fucking me with his pants on.
A moan escaped my lips as I started to rock my hips into me, my eyes rolling to the back of my head as I succumbed to the friction.
