The meaning of life and our purpose in life is to build a friendship with God. If you "draw close to God he will draw close to you."- James 4:8; 2:23. By having reverence for God and obeying his commands, because this is all we were created for.-Ecclésiastes 12:13.
Gods will is that I come to know him as a person, draw close to him, and then love and serve him with all my heart. Something at this point in my life I feel like I never asked for, but again we have no say in it, no permission if we want to be born/created or not. I think one can only agree or permit to be created or born if one knows the kind of life he will live which is free from suffering, oppression, years of slavery, cruel, unjust treatment, persecution, starvation, chronic and terminal illness, abuse, distress and most importantly DEATH.
If knowing that you have to be inflicted with any of the above of course you would rather not come into existence. Come on that is just the right reaction any human being can have, but again they are other people who have it easy since the day they were born. They are the kind of person life has always been more than gentle with, as if the world decided from the very beginning to soften every edge in their path. They have lived a charmed life. They were born into comfort, born with a silver spoon in their mouth, and from the very beginning they have had every advantage from the start. They have never really had to struggle or question how things would turn out. They have lived a sheltered life, untouched by the harsher edges of reality. NO DOUGHT it is so much easier to curry out God's will, obey his commands and draw close to him, cause at the end of the day you probably have to thank for bringing you in such an amazing life that you, and he will be happy for praising and giving him glory. BUT do you only praise him because you have it so easy in life or because he gave you life and you would still praise and give glory even if your living condition was reversed?
