It was a quiet lonely road but she had to keep walking. That's if she knew the way back home. Not long, a weird looking carriage parked beside her and a young man alighted from the carriage.
"Well… hello there, your brother asked me to take you home." William said politely.
The anger and hatred had already increased. Going back to the house would mean she had succumbed to his words and wants him to do as he pleases with her but she would rather die than let that happen.
"Take me somewhere else, I'll give you good tips." She added with a sly smile.
William took her to a pub house far off from the function. It was dark, too crowded, and the smell of smoke filled the air like gasoline. The whole environment looked dangerous, but she had seen worse. She knew Micheal didn't go home and since William brought her here, it means Micheal also must be here.
The gas lamps were too dim and anyone could barely see a thing. A young man grabbed her by the hand.
"Hello beautiful. I'm Nate. Care for a drink?."
Too quick. But I do need a drink.
Not minding who the hell that was. She took it and drank. She just wanted to see Micheal and give him a piece of her mind.
They walked into another whole room where the gas lamp was barely turned on. They were girls all over and most of them were barely dressed.
Indecent.
Her mother would call it. Just by the far end she looked up the stage and saw some girls dancing and flirting around with someone. It was Micheal. The rage increased and somewhat, jealousy.
She calls out to him. "…Micheal?!"
"Micheal..?"
He finally turns and looks down.
She spills the remaining drink on him.
"That's for leaving me on the sidewalk, you fucking piece of shit." She dashes out.
"You'd better beat that bitches ass up or I do it myself" one of the prostitutes added.
Micheal, confused and angry too had to follow her and find out why she was being repulsive. Yes, he had noticed.
She walked back into the crowd, struggling to leave the pub house.
The drink kicks in. Dizziness starts at first, she starts to lose vision of where she was. She could barely keep her foot on the ground. More like she was floating.
Her legs finally give in.
"Easy there."
Micheal catches her before she meets the ground.
"Had too much already?." Just then he takes the drink from her and smells it.
"Who gave this to you?!."
He was already angry and he didn't like being angry.
"..w..hat?." She could barely keep her words together.
"Who gave this to you?." He raises his voice so she could understand again.
"A guy by the hallway, calls himself Nate."
She dozed off.
Micheal carried Noah out of fear of what the so-called Nate might have given her and what they intended to do with her.
He walked to the hallways, found a number of young men.
"Which ones' Nate?." The anger had already taken over and he just wanted to take Noah home but first things first.
"Ohhhh… I see you wanna take her home first, but you see, I saw her first so you gotta stay in line.." Nate lashes out to Micheal.
"Are you Nate?."
"Yeah and so what?."
Handing Noah over to William who was in awe of everything that was happening in front of him.
Micheal not minding the aftermath punches Nate to the face.
"You are going to pay for this, you fucking piece of shit." Nate says in pain, still holding his cheek.
"Ohh yea? We'll see about that asshole."
Micheal takes Noah from William and leaves the pub house.
