Chapter 144 - Chapter 144 Please Don’t Become a Weird Person

Tatsumaki bit her lower lip, her green curly hair rustling restlessly on the pillow: "Just talk about anything, like your past."

Allen sat on the floor by the bed, leaning against the bed frame: "I used to be an ordinary person, I accidentally awakened Psychokinesis, and then I got to where I am now step by step."

"Liar." Tatsumaki rolled over, facing Allen: "How could an ordinary person become an S-class in such a short time?"

The moonlight shone on Allen through a gap in the curtains. He tilted his head slightly, meeting Tatsumaki's scrutinizing gaze: "Maybe it's because I tried harder?"

"Idiot." Tatsumaki suddenly reached out and poked his shoulder: "There are plenty of people who try hard, but I haven't seen anyone like you."

Her fingertips were cool, with the unique soft touch of a young girl. Allen subconsciously grabbed the mischievous hand: "Then what do you think it is?"

Tatsumaki's hand froze, but surprisingly she didn't pull it back, her green curly hair trembled slightly: "I, how would I know!"

Allen gently caressed her fingertips, then suddenly leaned closer and sniffed: "You always have a very fragrant scent on you."

"Pervert!" Tatsumaki suddenly pulled her hand back and shrank into the quilt, only her watery green eyes showing: "Who allowed you to smell me!"

"Sorry." Allen chuckled: "I just couldn't help it, it's a very special scent."

Inside the quilt, Tatsumaki's heart pounded like a drum. She clutched the corner of the quilt tightly, feeling her cheeks burning. What was wrong with this Rookie, suddenly saying such things?

"You..." Her voice muffled from under the quilt: "Are you really just here to buy ice cream?"

Allen looked at the bulging quilt, then suddenly reached out and gently pressed on it: "Yes, and I wanted to see you eat ice cream."

The quilt was suddenly thrown back, and Tatsumaki glared at him, pouting: "You were indeed up to no good!"

Her cheeks were flushed, and her green curly hair was slightly frizzy from static electricity, looking like a soft cloud in the moonlight. Allen, as if possessed, reached out and stroked the top of her head: "You're cuter this way."

"Don't call me cute!" Tatsumaki's voice suddenly softened. She subconsciously rubbed against Allen's palm, then immediately recoiled as if startled: "Who allowed you to touch me!"

Allen's hand hovered in the air, a faint smile on his lips: "Sorry, I couldn't help it again."

Tatsumaki glared at him angrily, then suddenly grabbed his collar: "What's gotten into you tonight!"

The distance between them suddenly shortened, their breaths mingling. Allen could clearly see the trembling of her Matsuge and the barely perceptible panic in her eyes.

"Maybe the moonlight is too beautiful," he whispered.

Tatsumaki's earlobes instantly turned red. She let go and tried to pull back, but Allen wrapped his arm around her waist, and her petite body tumbled into his arms. Tatsumaki was so startled she even forgot to use her Psychokinesis: "Let, let go!"

"Don't move." Allen's chin rested on the top of her head, his voice low: "Just stay like this for a while."

Tatsumaki stiffened in his arms, her heart pounding almost out of her chest. This position enveloped her in Allen's scent; the faint, elusive smell of blood mixed with male hormones made her dizzy.

"You..." Her voice trembled slightly: "Are you having a Monster cell outbreak? You're so hot."

Allen chuckled, the vibration of his chest transferring to her: "Maybe."

Tatsumaki suddenly struggled: "Then you definitely can't hug me! What if I get infected!"

"You won't." Allen tightened his arms, holding her even closer: "Only you can make me like this."

This sentence hit Tatsumaki's heart like a heavy hammer. Her struggles gradually weakened, and she finally leaned quietly against his chest, her green curly hair falling over Allen's arm like a soft spring.

"Idiot..." she mumbled softly: "You only say things like that."

Allen didn't answer, just gently stroked her long hair. In the room, only their intertwined breaths and the occasional sound of wind from outside the window remained.

After an unknown amount of time, Tatsumaki's muffled voice came: "Rookie."

"Hmm?"

"Don't turn into a Monster, okay? Just like this, this is good."

Allen's hand paused, then continued to comb through her long hair: "Sorry, I'll try my best. If I turn into a Monster..."

His voice deepened, and his fingers unconsciously twirled Tatsumaki's hair: "You can do as you said."

Tatsumaki's body visibly stiffened for a moment, and she snuggled tighter into Allen's embrace. Her fingers unconsciously clutched Allen's lapel, her green curly hair falling down, covering her slightly reddened eyes.

"Idiot, if you turn into a Monster, I'll catch you and teach you a lesson every day." Her voice was muffled, with a hint of an imperceptible tremor.

Allen could feel the petite body in his arms trembling slightly. He gently patted Tatsumaki's back: "Sleep, it's very late."

Tatsumaki's body visibly stiffened, then she suddenly pushed Allen away like a startled cat: "Who, who wants to sleep with you!"

She sat on the bed, her green curly hair fluttering wildly, her cheeks as red as a ripe apple: "I'm just afraid you'll turn into a Monster in the middle of the night and run off."

Allen looked at his empty embrace, a slight smile on his lips: "Then I'll sleep on the floor?"

"Suit yourself!" Tatsumaki angrily wrapped herself in the quilt like a little green zongzi, only her watery eyes staring at Allen.

She had regretted pushing Allen away almost immediately. From a young age, she had received almost no care, and this Rookie, who had suddenly entered Tatsumaki's life, had given her the sense of security and care she desired. However, the always-strong Tatsumaki was too embarrassed to actively return to his embrace.

"Then I'll go back to the living room?" Allen got up, preparing to leave the room.

"The floor is too cold, just sleep on the bed. What I said earlier was just out of anger..." Tatsumaki pulled Allen's hand, her girlish voice growing softer and softer until it was almost a mosquito's hum.

She turned her back in embarrassment, yet couldn't help but peek at Allen from the corner of her eye.

Allen's gaze softened. He gently pulled Tatsumaki into his arms: "Then it's settled, we'll continue to sleep on the bed."

Tatsumaki stiffened in his embrace, her whole body like a startled small animal. She could clearly hear Allen's strong heartbeat, intertwined with her own pounding heart.

Allen's arms suddenly tightened, and with a roll, he pinned Tatsumaki beneath him. His movements were light, yet carried an irresistible force. His left hand propped on the sheet beside her ear, and his right hand gently held her wrist.

Tatsumaki sank into the soft mattress, her green curly hair spread out on the pillow. She instinctively tried to struggle, but Allen pressed her thigh with his knee, rendering her unable to move.
