Chapter 17 - My Wife is a Former Valkyrie

What in the world is happening?

"Wait, Senior Me— mmpgh?!"

Schlick, slurp, mmm... chu.

The long, suffocating kiss finally broke. My lips were free, and the moment I tried to demand an explanation, my eyes wide with a mix of shock and confusion, Raiden Mei lunged again. It was as if she had been waiting for that exact opening. This time, her tongue swept into my mouth.

I felt something cold slide down my throat. The second it passed my gullet, she began an all-out assault on my senses. A chill raced down my spine.

Unlike my wife, who entrusted everything to me, or Seele, who moved according to her own whims, Mei acted as if she knew my every weakness from the start. She explored every corner of my mouth, relentlessly targeting my most sensitive spots.

'Did you call?'

I didn't call you!

Damn, this is dangerous. Between the haze of the alcohol and this overwhelming stimulation, my body was reacting in a way that was becoming impossible to hide.

I tried to push her away, to stop this madness, but Mei ignored my internal protests and deepened the kiss even further.

She was like a succubus, hungrily draining the very essence of a man.

How long did we stay like that?

"Phew! Haah... haah...♡"

Only when my breath ran short and my mind began to go numb did Mei finally pull away.

She panted softly, her gaze dropping downward with a satisfied glint. At the end of that suggestive stare, beneath the hem of my yukata, my body's betrayal was on full display, asserting itself with vibrant heat.

Mei watched it with a sultry, lingering smile. She licked her lips and slowly started to lower her body.

Of course, I couldn't just let that happen. I grabbed her shoulders with a start.

"Stop! Please, stop this."

"Why?"

Mei tilted her head, her expression one of genuine confusion, as if she truly couldn't fathom why I was resisting.

I stared back at her, even more baffled.

"What do you mean, 'why'...? I'm a married man!"

"Didn't we already reach a conclusion regarding that little detail?"

She gave a bright, charming smile and tried to slip down again, but I held her shoulders firm.

"I never gave my consent!"

"For someone who claims to refuse, your body is certainly making its own demands, isn't it?"

"That's your fault, Senior!"

Anyone would react this way after being kissed by a woman as beautiful as Raiden Mei, especially when she's systematically attacking their weak points. It's practically a surge of Honkai energy—involuntary and overwhelming.

It was a pathetic, biological reflex of the male anatomy.

"If it's my fault, then there's only one thing to do. I'll just have to help you calm down~"

"I'm sorry, the truth is... it's just the alcohol. It's making me act up."

"Hee-hee~ Well, a release would make you feel much better, wouldn't it? Let me help."

"No, a quick trip to the restroom will solve everything! I'll be right back!"

"Why go to the restroom when you can use me?"

"What?"

"Here. Use my mouth."

She closed her eyes, parting her lips slightly with an 'ah~' and pointing to her mouth. My brain felt like it had been struck by a Shamash-class strike. My head was ringing.

Seriously, what is wrong with this woman?

Has she been like this ever since her confession? This no-holds-barred, full-frontal assault was too much. I smacked my forehead with my palm.

"Senior."

"Yes?"

"Just to be sure... are you drunk?"

"No, I'm perfectly sober."

I was beyond speechless. My sanity was about to check out and leave the building.

You mean to tell me she's saying these things with a clear head?

As I stared at her, mouth agape and lost for words, Mei gave a knowing smile. She reached out and pinched my cheek playfully, her eyes filled with the kind of affection one might show a stray puppy.

"Why? Did you really think I was intoxicated?"

"Most people would assume that, yes...!"

"Oh, don't be silly. If I were drunk, we wouldn't have arrived at this stage of the evening."

We wouldn't have arrived at this stage? Hmm... come to think of it, what are Mei's drinking habits?

...Wait. I've never actually seen Mei get drunk. Not once.

She was always the composed, big-sister figure, sipping her drinks with an air of relaxed maturity.

Even the others said they had never seen Mei lose her cool to alcohol. That meant no one actually knew what she was like when she truly let go.

So, if she *were* drunk, what exactly would she be doing right now?

"...And if you were drunk?"

"There wouldn't be any talking. I would have pinned you down, finished the deed, and would currently be savoring the afterglow."

"That's even worse!"

I stand corrected.

Looking closer, those weren't the eyes of someone looking at something 'cute.' Those were the eyes of a predator stalking its prey.

"Anyway, how did you even get in here, Senior?"

"How?"

"Yeah. I locked all the doors and windows. You're just... here."

I refrained from suggesting she might have come through the vents or a hole in the ceiling. Given her, uh, *assets*, she likely wouldn't have fit through those spaces anyway.

Besides, pointing that out would probably just lead to another 'sexy attack' or her actually pouncing on me.

She was a Valkyrie and a Herrscher. If she truly wanted to end this, the situation would already be over. I didn't need to add fuel to the fire.

"The premise of your question is flawed."

"Flawed? Wait... how?"

My assumption was that Mei had broken in while we weren't looking.

But she was telling me that wasn't the case.

"Wait, don't tell me..."

"You've always been quick on the uptake. Exactly."

Mei reached out and booped the tip of my nose with her index finger.

"I've been in this room the whole time."

"...Since when?"

"Since you two came back from the springs. Though, to be fair, I arrived at this inn yesterday."

She looked at me as if to say, *'You know exactly what I'm hinting at,'* and I felt a wave of horror wash over me as the realization hit.

"Senior... I have to ask... was this all part of your plan?"

Mei didn't answer with words.

Instead, the deepening of her smile confirmed my hypothesis. It was a trap.

"The tickets Seele gave us... that was the first hook, wasn't it?"

"Don't be mad at her. She gave them to you out of genuine kindness."

"I know that. I just wish she'd told me who gave them to *her*... but knowing Seele, she'd feel guilty giving away a gift from someone else, so she probably kept quiet on purpose. ...No, you counted on that, didn't you?"

"Correct."

"No wonder the staff gave me such a weird look when they took my ticket. And even though it's a private family bath where only my wife and I should have been, Kiana showed up because you gave her a ticket too, didn't you? You told her we were going on a trip alone."

"Yes. That certainly made things much easier."

"Because Bronya and I were so focused on dealing with Kiana that we never noticed anyone sneaking into the room. Not that it would be easy to notice a Herrscher suppressing her presence anyway."

If Kiana hadn't been there, Bronya—being hyper-sensitive to her surroundings—would have never missed even the slightest disturbance.

"But why this? Why now?"

"Because you're reaching your limit."

"My limit?"

"Your patience. You're tired of holding back, aren't you?"

Mei's question made cold sweat pour down my back. Wait—was every single time Kiana or Mei 'accidentally' interrupted Bronya and me just a part of a larger design?

Did Bronya realize it, while I—being the dense idiot I am—remained blissfully unaware while she bottled up her frustration?

I've always been told I'm oblivious when it comes to women, but even after marriage, I hadn't changed. A heavy sigh escaped my lips.

Wait, if that's true...

"The raspberry wine... was that your doing as well?"

"Yes. It's a special brew I tested on myself. How was it?"

"...It was impossible not to drink. Kiana said it could even get a Herrscher drunk. I wondered why... I never expected this kind of secret."

"It wasn't just the wine. I hand-picked the menu. Didn't you notice something odd about the food?"

"The food?"

I mentally went through the dinner we had.

Eel, oysters, abalone, octopus, seaweed... a seafood feast.

"Oh..."

How did I not see it while I was eating?

Every single dish was renowned for boosting male stamina and libido.

It didn't stop there. I thought about the snacks we had later. The raspberry wine, bananas, tangerines, cherries, pomegranates, strawberries... all of them were natural boosters for performance.

The mental war between my wife and Kiana had been so intense that I had completely ignored the red flags on my plate.

But who would expect their dinner to be a coordinated chemical strike?! We were on vacation!

This is bad. Truly bad.

If I didn't keep a death grip on my sanity, being 'attacked' would be the least of my worries—I might actually lose control myself.

The sheer proximity of Raiden Mei, the scent of her skin, the softness of her touch... it was systematically dismantling my self-control. And because I had been abstinent lately, planning for a big night with Bronya, I was already primed for an explosion.

I was hanging on by a thread of pure willpower.

Wait, no. Now that I've analyzed the situation, I should be able to calm down. I'm rational now. So why...

"Why?"

Why isn't it going away?

"Ah, the medication must be kicking in now."

"Medication...?"

I remembered the thing she slid down my throat during that deep kiss.

"Was that... Sildenafil?"

"Fufu~"

No wonder things weren't settling down. This wasn't just psychology; it was pharmacology. Senior Mei was serious. She was dead set on finishing things tonight.

"Well, now that the chatter is out of the way... shall we begin?"

Mei licked her lips again and reached for me. I tried to block her, but my strength was effortlessly brushed aside by the former Valkyrie.

I couldn't just give up like this.

"Wait! One more question!"

"What is it?"

"We're being so loud! Why aren't the other two waking up?"

I raised my voice on purpose, hoping to rouse them, but Bronya and Kiana remained dead to the world. Mei stroked my cheek with an almost pitying tenderness.

"It's simple. Very simple, really. Except for the first three bottles of wine, every subsequent bottle they drank had sleeping pills mixed in."

With those words, my last shred of hope withered away.

The strength left my arms. Mei leaned in for another kiss.

"Mwah~♡. Don't worry. Just close your eyes for a moment, and it will all be over before you know it. It's okay. I promise to make this an enchanting night you'll never forget."

She told me to just give in. Realizing there was no one left to save me, I was just about to resign myself to fate, when—

"I thought as much. I've been on high alert ever since Kiana appeared. It seems my caution has finally paid off."

A voice came from the side. A hand reached out and firmly caught Mei's wrist just as she was about to undress me.

"That is far enough, Big Sis Mei."

"...Honey!"

"Bronya? But how...?"

My savior had arrived.
