(Sapphire's POV)
When we got inside, we saw the detective sitting on a couch in the living room.
She stood up as soon as she saw us.
"Mr and Mrs Blackwood," she greeted with a pleasant smile. "Good afternoon."
"Good afternoon, Detective Lyn." Damian greeted back and shook her hand.
I smiled at her and just nodded because I was too tensed to speak.
Her eyes went directly to the baby in my arms, and a look of surprise flashed through her eyes, and didn't go away.
"I didn't know you guys had a child already?" She asked curiously.
I laughed at her shocked expression.
"This is my sister's son, detective," Damian told her. "But my wife has adopted him or should I say he has adopted her?" He added.
The detective laughed delightedly.
"That's good. It's good you have someone who loves you more than your husband, Mrs Blackwood." She said to me.
I gulped.
"Of course."
She took a closer look at the baby. "But goodness, he looks so much like you, sir." She told him.
