"Then it's a deal."
"Very well, Messrs. Akatsuki."
At this moment, if the Nick Fury's face were white, it would have turned ashen. The Clone had asked for a piece of Vibranium two meters high and one meter wide—no small amount. Nick Fury couldn't produce it all at once and could only pay in installments: half now, and the other half later. The Clones had only made the request with a playful attitude, never expecting Nick Fury to grit his teeth and agree. It was hard to say if he was hiding anything, but S.H.I.E.L.D. was undoubtedly 'loaded.' So why did Natasha say she had never seen a paycheck?
Could it be...? Thinking of this, the two Clones, 'Itachi' and 'Kisame,' exchanged a strange look, as if they understood something. This old fox's heart was truly black, blacker than his face. Nick didn't notice this small interaction. After finishing their talk, 'Kisame' and 'Itachi' displayed extraordinary jumping power, moving from the rooftop toward the giant monster.
"Can they be trusted, Director?"
When Nick returned to the aircraft, the beautiful Special Agent Hill sitting beside him asked him with doubt. She still didn't quite trust these two people in strange costumes. Although they seemed to wield some mysterious power, judging by their behavior, she still felt the need to put them in the 'untrustworthy' column.
"I don't trust them; I just need power right now. If we can bring this to a successful conclusion, what does it matter if we make a deal with the devil? You must remember, Special Agent Hill, everything is based on completing the objective by any means necessary. That is a true Special Agent. Sometimes, it's not appropriate to let personal views interfere with special events."
Hearing Hill's words, Nick could sense the skepticism and confusion in her tone, which gratified him. An Special Agent indeed shouldn't trust anyone; this was good, and maintaining proper vigilance was an excellent attitude. However, as Nick was grooming Hill to be the future Director, he still wasn't fully satisfied. After giving Special Agent Hill a earnest lecture, Nick kept his eyes fixed on the two figures.
"Are we going to use a sealing technique?"
While moving, 'Kisame' asked 'Itachi.' Such a massive monster, and a living one at that, didn't look like something that could be knocked out with brute force. If they used a sealing technique, the chance of failure would be high.
"You forgot, Itachi's Susanoo has something very good."
With the corners of his mouth curling slightly, 'Itachi's' Sharingan began to spin wildly from three tomoe, eventually connecting to form a large triangular pinwheel shape. It was the Mangekyo Sharingan.
"You plan to use that? Using that in a Clone state... won't it be too much of a strain?"
"As long as it's not for long-term use, it should be fine. This consumes Chakra too quickly. You need to hurry and deal with those small monsters; let's settle this quickly."
He stared intently at the creature, which remained unscathed despite being bombarded by various weapons—instead, it only grew larger and stronger. It was a real monster; he wondered which villain had left it behind and how they had created it. There weren't many ways to deal with such a monster, but Artoria happened to have more than three methods at her disposal. First was Itachi's Totsuka Blade, which could seal such a monster; second was releasing the Holy Lance to blast the monster into dust; and third was Dust Release to disintegrate the monster into an atomic state.
"Who are these two guys? Why did they suddenly show up here?"
Tony, who had temporarily swapped into the Hulkbuster armor, had already captured the figures of the two Clones. Seeing their superhuman way of moving, Tony didn't think of stepping forward to advise them to leave. He was curious about who they were. With that speed, they should have been able to escape the city quickly, yet they ran right into the center of the battlefield. It seemed they were either reckless or well-prepared. Tony, who continued to hinder the giant monster's movements, couldn't find the time to go forward and learn more about them.
"I see, Director. Those two are the reinforcements you called in, right?"
Hawkeye quickly captured the figures of the two Clones through his eyes. But there were too many monsters on the ground, and he had to divide his attention to watch the movements of the two above. However, after hearing the Director's explanation through his earpiece, he stopped focusing on them. He didn't want to get 'kissed' by a monster's maw because of a lapse in concentration; that would certainly be bloody.
"Why do they feel so familiar? Have I seen them somewhere before?"
Blowing a monster's head off with a shot, Natasha took a moment to glance at 'Itachi' and 'Kisame.' A woman's sixth sense made her feel like these two were very familiar! Had she seen them somewhere? But with those clothes and those people, she definitely wouldn't forget them after the first glance. This left Natasha feeling a bit conflicted.
She had just finished her surgery at Artoria's place two days ago and was recently waiting for her 'Aunt' to arrive. Because of the surgery in the Red Room, she had never had such a thing since childhood. After all, to become a perfect Special Agent and assassin, one couldn't allow physical reasons to prevent them from executing missions. Therefore, the physiological reaction that women avoided and found painful was something Natasha looked forward to.
"After this fight, I'll apply for resignation. It's time to think about whether to have a boy or a girl in the future."
Unknowingly setting a flag, Natasha continued to join the battle, but these efforts were just a drop in the bucket.
"Whoo-hoo! We're here!"
Because the Hulk was absent, the Avengers were struggling. With their strongest power missing, Captain America could only silently use his fighting skills to go head-to-head with the monsters. But no one could do anything to the giant monster. At that moment, a ball of fire flew in from the horizon, and an excited roar echoed from within the flames. It smashed into the ground, clearing out the surrounding monsters.
"Hello, Captain! My name is Johnny Stone, but you can call me Human Torch. You're so cool, Captain! You've been my idol since I was a kid."
From the place where the fire had just landed, a guy wearing a blue skin-tight suit who looked eighty percent like Captain America saw the Captain, and his eyes lit up. He stepped forward to greet him happily, like a child meeting an idol.
"He... Hello, Johnny. Thank you for your help."
Seeing someone who looked so much like himself standing before him, the Captain was startled. What was the difference between this and looking in a mirror, except that his own mask wasn't removed? This truly left the Captain's mind in a daze.
"Alright, Johnny, let's hurry! We can't let them keep destroying the city. Hello, Captain."
Mr. Reed, whose body stretched like a spring to reach the Captain, spoke to Johnny and greeted the Captain. The Thing behind him also smashed a path through; the monsters that tried to bite him didn't hurt him but instead broke their own teeth. His defense was absolutely formidable.
"Hello. Aren't you that Fantastic Four group that appeared recently? Why are there only three of you?"
Seeing the combination of Reed and The Thing, the Captain—who watched the news every day to keep up with the times—asked curiously. But once this question was asked, Reed and The Thing both looked at Johnny. The latter scratched his head awkwardly. This name was all Johnny's doing; Reed had no time for his nonsense, but this guy loved showing off, and the media reports were all his work.
Now that Susan was absent, the Fantastic Four could only be called the Fantastic Three.
"Interesting. Let's wait a bit longer and see how they deal with this giant monster."
The Clone with the Mangekyo activated saw their figures gathered together. The Clone was now curious about what kind of invention Reed could bring out to save the day. How exactly was this monster created? It seemed Mr. Fantastic would need to uncover that.
